front row is a great place to sit, the stage for this is at knee height when sat on the front row.
It's hard to review it properly as I didn't see the whole show as previously mentioned. The story isn't great and the book is messy and clunky but the music is good, especially if you are a fan of other Sheik stuff. Simon Lipkin is good, Niamh Perry is v watchable.
I wouldn't pay more than the £10 i did for this but as I haven't seen the whole show properly I feel a bit mean saying its not great!

That's pretty close to the London version. I can't wait for next Friday to have the full recording!

I'm at the first performance, started 20 mins late and act 2 will be performed concert style because of tech issues.
The music sounds gorgeous but it's quite messy.

The background harmonies are quite different. They've changed the phrasing on quite a few lines, particularly my favourite bit near the end of the song where Phil is singing about starting 700 fights and Rita quietly and slowly sings "if I had my time again" over the top, the Rita line has been sped up and I can't really see why. This was my favourite song from the show last year and I still really like it, but it's got that "Broadway sheen" now and just doesn't feel quite as magical! I think most of the words are the same, the ending lines about doors are new, they've slightly changed a few other bits like when Phil is talking about eating a dozen doughnuts everyday, I'm sure the wording was clearer before.

Random question for anyone who's been to see it in NYC... What merchandise do they have? My dad in going to be in NYC next week and is willing to pop to the theatre to buy some stuff for me if they'll let him, I just have no idea what they have. Seeing as how we had no London run merch I'd love anything they are selling! I'm guessing they'll have an online store at some point but there isn't one yet.
Thanks for any help!

This is the thing I didn't know I needed until now. He can sing ok (well enough for King George which isn't a 'big sing') and my god that man can rock a stocking and ridiculous outfit...
He did tweet something Hamilton-eque the other week actually.
Agree, this would be inspired casting. Yes! Have been thinking about this since Gatiss tweeted "It's Quiet Uptown" a few weeks ago...

Just curious - is Tennant keeping his natural accent for this? No, he's doing an English accent. Posher than he was in Doctor Who but not over the top

Yes, I've checked it. It faces a black stage front wall that you have to peer up and over to see the stage. Not much legroom either. Two seats along, the wall drops to orchestra pit height. Ah ok, I'm going to try to acquire a better seat! Thank you!

Hi all, some help please! So I booked a cheap ticket for this ages ago (STALLS SEAT A1) but now considering buying a different seat to have a better view. Anyone ever sat at the extreme ends of the stalls at the front? My friend is in this and and I don't want to miss anything but I don't mind being super close and having to look up. What do you guys reckon?

Theatremania tweeted a similar video with slightly different bits of songs...
I saw GHD 7 times so know the songs fairly well! Looks like the "If I had my time again" song has changed quite a bit from this clip. And judging by all the clips lots of changes to the chorus backing on quite a few songs.

I'm more and more convinced that Riz would be a brilliant Hamilton. His acting career is on a huge upward trajectory so it might be odd career wise to stop and do at least 6 months in a WE show even if it is Hamilton. Also they've always said they want to shy away from star casting as the show is the star... Would Riz be considered star casting? I guess he's not a household name yet.
Having said all that he's obviously on the mixtape, has been pictured with Lin and can rap, sing and act so would be brilliant.

You were able to book in three separate transactions? I thought the code would expire once a purchase is complete? Unless I misunderstood? I've been wondering if I could book 4 single tickets for 4 different shows in one go but can't seem to find an answer anywhere No you can buy 4 tickets for 4 different shows if you want. Just no more than 4. I think you start the entire process again but using the same code. I picked out tickets for my first performance, paid. then did another, paid, then another. so I bought 4 tickets but spread over 3 shows.

All booked in 5 minutes! Got 2 row d stalls for the first preview, a dress circle ticket for a show in december and an upper circle for January. That booking process was super easy. thrilled. Once added to your basket were they secured for you for a certain amount of time? I did it in 3 separate transactions, it only had 5 minutes once added to the basket i think.

Also confirmed on the official Twitter, although there is a limit of 4 tickets per person for the booking period, if you try to split it across various dates this is possible, but you'll have to repeat the booking process. Does this mean you have to get back into the virtual queue or you just end up back on the first step of booking do we think?

So hoping that my Delfont Mackintosh + membership will be me saviour on Monday with its exclusive booking phone number if I end up with a terrible virtual queue position via presale list... Or what do we think the chances of a DMT+ only booking link is?

Sorry if someone else has already spotted this... on the official Laz site they have a recording this sunday which is a "filmed performance", no seating plan but you can buy a ticket for £25 and it says its restricted view. Friend is keen to see the show so tempted to book and hope the stage isn't completely obscured by cameras!

There was an emailing confirming you were on the list back in October around when they closed the list but nothing since. Emails with booking details will be out next week some time apparently. I best start searching through my emails as Im now doubting I ever registered!! will it be from Hamilton? . I got it on the 21st Oct at 2ish from Hamilton@delfontmackintosh.co.uk I think registering for the list was open for a few days after that though so they might not have sent it out to those people.
