Sensible brain says Lin-Manuel Miranda will be performing in the LA production but fantasy brain is shouting MIXTAPE VOL2, the filmed recording of the OBC at the cinemas, Lin in London Ham!

The Old Vic have posted a video of my absolute favorite bit of the show - Sheila Atim singing "Tight Connection to My Heart". About 2 hrs 15 secs in is when I got goosebumps!

I have to do this sort of things as part of my job Woah! Do you mean you adapt fictional works, or that you dress girls in red dresses and ship them out to top political households? We need to know... Haha some adapting of fictional works... Not the other thing! 😂

It's a really good example of how to adapt a thin book into something that feels richer and bigger on screen. They've already widened the scope of the world and built things into it which will sustain a few series worth of stuff. I have to do this sort of things as part of my job and I'm really envious at how skillfully they've done it!

as above... boys need positive, strong female role models too!
I'm really excited about Jodie as the Doctor, as a big Who fan, I think her casting represents a big exciting shift in the show that will excite and engage existing viewers and being a whole load of new viewers in.
The fandom can be amazing, but often a little toxic and scary. As someone who worked on Doctor Who for a year during Matt Smith's tenure I know only too well the brilliance of the fan base and also how terrifying it can sometimes be!
I'm sure her gender will be addressed on screen but in an ideal world it's mentioned once after the regen and then never again, really the writing of the Doctor should be the same no matter the gender. People have been talking about the possibility of a female Doctor since the Tom Baker era, it's brilliant that it's finally happening.
Oh and check out the films Adult Life Skills or Attack the Block for really great non Broadchurch performances from Jodie!

Just seen this, the songs are so well done but the script for me lets it down, there is just too much going on and it feels very unfocused. The music is so soulful and beautifully put together... If the script was great this would be something so special. Absolutely worth seeing for the music and performances ( particularly loved Arinze Kene and Sheila Atim) but I am left feeling very frustrated at what feels like a bit of a missed opportunity with the storytelling.

That was all a bit shambolic, I swear they let too many people in too quickly at the beginning as I was number 600 in the queue when it opened and was in after 5 minutes.
After much crashing got everything I wanted in a basket, paid and then got an error message and there was no trace of the tickets. Went through it all again, a bit more crashing and finally got a successful payment confirmation. I had a much easier time getting Angels tickets!

I hired the Theatre Cafe for a party and we did a lot of karaoke, most people just played whatever backing track they wanted of off YouTube as they only have a limited selection on the system. It was somewhere between £50 and £70 an hour to hire the cafe and you can bring your own booze so it actually works out cheaper than the private rooms at karaoke places like Lucky Voice. So it's good but just requires a bit of extra planning if your song isn't on their system!

National have erected a search area inside the foyer past the box office. little queue to go through the search area and bags were searched fairly thoroughly. They were making announcements about the increased security every 10 minutes or so whilst I was waiting to go into part 2 of Angels.

He also is hopeful that some of the Old Vic cast will return. As the tweeter says, it was a lot of hard work for just a 2 month run. But I am also curious who these 4 other gents were that they workshopped for Phil...anyone got any idea? I definitely saw a Phil workshop credit on someone's spotlight page recently... I'll see if I can find it again!

THRILLED for Andy Karl and Groundhog Day! Now please can we have it back in London ASAP! It's a Broadway Baby now, why would they want to open this in London. Minchin said twice this evening that there would be a production here again within the year.
