The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has just been announced for May with Jamie Parker... So he definitely won't be playing Captain VT. 😔 Don’t distress. This isn’t the only show Jamie will be doing this summer (although no, it’s not Sound of Music). Any hints on what the other show he's in might be?

I can't see Operation Mincemeat leaving the Fortune any time soon.

Fantastic news! And ties in with what Baz was hinting at recently.

I thought The Band's Visit performance was just gorgeous.

Perhaps I'm wrong but rather than a stupid April fools from him, I more assumed Theatre Fan had just read it on here and was passing it off as his own secret gossip again. Probably.

This isn't at The Phoenix. But an Announcement is Very Imminent. Glad to see this happening again, greatly enjoyed the Production in Bath despite some minor issues that should be fixed. Right, is this an April Fool or not, please?

I do wish when they design posters with cast headshots, they would get them together for a dedicated shoot. This sort of Photoshop collage looks very amateur Almost Billy K in awfulness Agreed, it's terrible but I suspect it's not the final artwork. At least I hope not. Almost as bad as the McKellen/Allam monstrosity discussed elsewhere.

Premier Inn Hubs have become very expensive unfortunately. Usually around £170 a night now whenever I look. Such a shame. I always stayed there.

Isn't fame and celebrity a funny thing? It can cut deeper than we realise.
I have found myself really choked up reading about Paul and all the tributes to him today, a sense of grief almost like losing a friend, even though I had never met him, feelings I probably am not really entitled to have.
The same feelings I didn't naturally seem to have, albeit I was very sorry, when I head the news the other week that a really nice man I knew through work, not terribly well, but had spoken to several times over the years, had died far too young. Whilst I was sad to hear the news about that man, I didn't have the same sense of grief and sadness that I did when I heard about Paul O'Grady.

I loved Paul O'Grady. One of those people who just made you feel better when you heard or watched him. Really very sorry to hear of his passing.

No objection to the show but I wish they could just go to one place and stay there!
Just when you hope something decent is going to get a prime West End theatre slot, this pops up again.

Would it really have been dark without this? I very much doubt it. Nothing from Chichester? Broadway? If no one has anything that can go in at short notice if something fall through then yes there is a chance the Apollo would have gone dark for months. We don't know if anything fell through.

It's a play that's done good business so no qualms with it moving, the alternative is a dark theatre throughout the summer. Would it really have been dark without this? I very much doubt it. Can you say mrbarnaby what the Broadway transfer to the Apollo was to have been?

And the show continues to collect West End theatres like they’re Pokemon. Moving to the Apollo from May. Was there really nothing else that could have taken that slot?

I can't see anywhere in the terms and conditions that says only one voucher can be used per ticket.

Great review Steve. Daniel Rigby is a genius. I see this has commercial co-producers so it has the potential to transfer from the Lyric.

As someone who had to sit through his 'Straight Line Crazy', one of the driest things I've ever seen on stage, I think he should pipe down. I hated that! Was bored rigid!

Just got a Priority Access email sign up from Delfont Mackintosh saying this is coming Spring 2024. Doesn't mention which theatre.
