I'll be amazed if this is accurate.

The trouble people have had tonight I’m glad I bit the bullet earlier today and bought a DMT+ membership. Booked in about 2 minutes flat while eating my lunch. There’s a couple of other things I’d like to see, so between the booking fees and the programme vouchers probably works out about the same. And your two free glasses of wine!

I'm wondering why the new shows were all announced piecemeal but still relatively close together in time? First Ballet Shoes, then Earnest and then the last three including Coriolanus.

With that cast this'll surely transfer in? One would hope so.

I know this is too late for the person above, but in case anyone else wishes to know, this is running at 2 and a half hours including interval. I can confirm this is correct. Had to run for a train which was luckily ran and thought this was brilliant. Tamsin Greig was astonishing good - you felt her anguish and despair. Nicholas Farrell also delivered a strong performance and Oliver Chris absolutely owned his role too. I thought it was a superbly done production and was worth the journey to see it. There’s no reworking of anything - it plays as you would expect it to and the results are scintillatingly good. Would to see this.

It says on NT at Home that it will be streaming soon. That, and the lack of announcement today, suggests to me there won't be a transfer.
And yet, there are some social media handles in place which point to a further life and it was one of the NT's best reviewed shows in ages, with 2 Olivier nominations including Best Play, so it would be madness not to bring it back when so many still want to see it and others like myself want to go back with friends to see it again.
Fingers crossed we'll hear something soon. It would go down a treat in @sohoplace, so I still have hope for this there post-Heathers!

Had really hoped that a transfer for Till the Stars Come Down would have been announced with the new NT season. I hope it will still do so.

As Michael Harrison is producing, it will surely end up in a decent West End theatre.

Great interview with Sheridan Smith in today's Sunday Times. She speaks candidly about feeling guilty that the show is closing as she "couldn't sell it".

Erm, this has a theatre booked, and is fully financed. So….. It’s called a marketing strategy. Why not just announce the theatre though?

Saw the first preview tonight and loved it just as much as the original. A real casting coup with Sinéad Cusack, she and Gough are perfectly paired. I saw them both together in Conor McPherson's version of The Birds at the Gate Theatre in Dublin years ago. Also saw PP&T at the Wyndham's and it is both exhilarating and heartbreaking with a juggernaut performance from DG. .

There have been some great announcements including transfers for Red Pitch and Boys from the Blackstuff, and returns for For Black Boys... and People, Places & Things, and some nice new musicals, but overall, a bit disappointing. Too many poor fillers.

Some of the recent West End announcements have been really underwhelming. This is definitely not a vintage year for the West End. Very few exciting play announcements.

Mods, this is fully staged so you might want to remove the concert reference in the heading.

People about to underestimate Japanese arts and culture popularity again Also great to see actual discounted previews Not underestimating it, as I said I know nothing about it, so was just asking the question really. It's a tough economic climate for musicals at the minute.

I know nothing about Manga, but can this sustain a 12 week run in the West End with a cast of unknowns? Good luck to them, but it seems a little niche to me.

She does ad lib though. A mobile went off when I saw it and she looked straight at the person and said "Is that for me?"

If you go back to my review of the show (at the top of this page!), you'll find there's a lot about the show I liked, and I wanted bits of it to be better because it's got bags of potential so I don't know where you've come up with the idea that I'm anti-Witches TBF. I'm just trying to explain that this show is enormous (the NT themselves literally acknowledged they made a show that can only fit into Drury Lane) and the Gillian Lynne does not have the capability to house it... Something else is filling at least some of that 7 months to be announced shortly. I see a social media rumour that The Lehman Trilogy may be coming back to the Lynne. It's a good show but it's been done to death, if true.

The Witches is the new Into the Woods from Bath. Everyone wants it to transfer but it isn't going to, by the looks of it.

Does anyone actually know which musical is apparently going into the Pinter then? So we don't have to endure Shaun Tossell going 'no, not any of those' for days on end.
