Having watched the Tucker clip, Becky Gulsvig and the Broadway understudy (sorry can't remember her name), it makes you realise just how good Jenn Colella is, not just vocally but how well she acts in Me and the Sky Julie Reiber? I think she's done some PR events as Captain Bass. www.ibdb.com/replacements/come-from-away-510272That's right thank you

I like Koshari Street on St Martin's Lane, Egyptian street food. The koshari is their main thing which is a pot with pasta, rice, lentils and topped with chickpeas and tomato sauce and can add a meat topping (£5-7).

I'm really looking forward to this and think vocally Rachel will be great. I've just watched a clip on YouTube of Becky Gulsvig singing from the US tour. I noticed that Beverley is meant to be 51 but seems they've always cast younger actresses . I'm normally not too bothered but I just thought it's a bit of a shame when there are comparatively so fewer roles for 'older' women in musicals

Have the Young Vic been sending tickets for this out by post? I booked last August before they finalised seating etc, but haven’t had any tickets through the post. Really looking forward to finally seeing this. Did you book with the theatre directly or the presale with Todaytix. If Todaytix then was to collect at box office rather than being posted

I'm going this Saturday. I'm not that bothered about the show particularly but love the theatre!

On another note, is anyone going to see this at the cinema tomorrow? Yes I'm going to tonight. I haven't seen it yet so looking forward to it

Is anyone looking for tickets for this for this Saturday matinee (7 July)?
I booked two on TodayTix when they first went on sale and then my friend decided to get married so I can't use them and I'm going on 21st instead!

I agree though, it is not as good as it once was. Still worth having for me though! Totally agree, it is worth having. This is my first year having the card and I've saved around £130 on tickets and fees combined as well as getting discounts on drinks at the bar since I got my card in Feb. For me one of the biggest benefits is the access to discounts across the whole group of ATG theatres (obviously I know that's the point) but instead of just being a member or patron of say one particular venue or theatre you get a nice variety and effectively access to more shows, from my base in the Midlands I've got good access to Stoke, Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Birmingham, Coventry etc.. That makes sense but out of the places you've listed I'm pretty sure Birmingham is the only one with an ATG theatre. I only know as I'm in.the Midlands so considered it but didn't think it would be worth it given so few ATG theatres in the area. Four at last count - in Birmingham, Oxford, Milton Keynes & Aylesbury!

I've not seen the whole show but the Facebook group for it have posted about six full clips of songs. I really like John Legend for not for this part, he looks totally lost acting wise and isn't going for all the high notes (But commercially can see why they cast him)

Oh what wonderful casting! Cuba is a fine actor and whilst it does happen, it’s not that often you get an Oscar winning actor on the west end (particularly one that isn’t British). I may be wrong, but I think that this will also be the debut acting performance of a black Oscar winner on the west end. Wasn't Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act at a certain point? Ahh we both said the same thing but you got in first so now it looks like I copied you!

I can't think of any others though

Really not a fan of that artwork, it makes it look like an amateur production!

£25 for the CD?! I got it last week for my friend for Christmas £7.99 on Amazon. I'm surprised people buy CDs now as go onto Spotify etc so quickly.
Looking forward to hearing what people think.about the show!

This looks like an interesting show so will have to try and get down to see it.
The website we no longer name has a clip today of Louise Dearman, Louis Maskell and Sean Kinglsey singing "Born Broken". It says "special guest Louise Dearman". Do I take it she is not actually in the show? If so who is playing the part she is singing? Julie Atherton? Just trying to work out why Dearman is singing for it if not connected to the show.

Each time I see that there is a new post in this thread I get excited and think that the cast has been announced! Any idea as to when the announcement will be?

I've lost my list so would like to think I am on 99 Wicked visits although I suspect I may have just gone into triple figures 🙈 No, I don't understand it either! It seems pretty ridiculous to me but that is over ten years. I will never get why people feel the need to go several times a week, every week. Or how they can even afford it, especially the prices that Wicked charge these days. That's still 10 times a year for you I agree though, I met a lady at Les Mis who goes every.week, do not understand how its affordable. I think there's also a difference between seeing the same production or different production of a show. I've seen two different Little Shops for example nut will probably go to see Regent's Park one two but wouldn't see any of the productions multiple times. In terms of seeing the same production I've seen Wicked (5)albeit one in Australia Blood Brothers (5) Les Miserables (3) We Will Rock You (3) Phantom (3) Everything else I think only once or twice and only really multiple viewings of those because were on for long period of time and went with different people!

I was totally confused as saw something on Instagram which made me think the show was closing but having read the last few comments I'm now pretty sure it was just the last night for the original cast, phew!

Doesn’t count as meeting but, messaged one of the ensemble members in dreamgirls Sian Deia and it seems she blocked me after my third message. A little baffled but okay. I mean.. was it something I said? I think the problem with replying to a story rather than commenting on a photo is that the person gets an inbox message which may seem intrusive when it is from someone they don't know. Granted I think that option can be turned off but I wonder if that's why you ended up getting blocked?

Help appreciated in suggestions for best show for two boys. They loved Wind in the Willows and have seen local shows too but not much experience of big shows. If they loved the Wind in the Willows then maybe the Lion King, Aladdin or Matilda would be a good idea? I don't like Annie myself but I guess that is child-friendly. I thought about School of Rock but I've not see it so they might be a bit young for that. For something a bit different The Very Hungry Caterpillar is at the Ambassadors Theatre and I think Disney on Ice is still touring.

I stood for the first half hour of act 2 of Les Mis (until Eponine was dead basically...) after being bullied out of my aisle seat by a moany old woman. I lost interest very quickly being sandwiched between floors and walls and it felt really far from the stage so I just left quietly. I used to really enjoy standing for Starlight Express for a fiver, as you were still in the thick of the action and the Apollo Vic seemed really small back then. I want to know more detail about the Les Mis story!

Gosh this brings back memories, the Philip Schofield production was one of the first shows I ever saw as a kid! Yep took my daughter to Hammersmith to see that. Remember it as being ok. To be honest I can remember very little about it but I feel like there was a Chitty-esque part where the car flew. Is that right or am I imagining it?!
