Gosh this brings back memories, the Philip Schofield production was one of the first shows I ever saw as a kid!

There's no TodayTix Rush/lottery or day seats for this - am I right? Correct. Not seen any kind of discounts yet It is on the Todaytix app now with tickets from £45 so maybe keep checking back as other shows have had offers added at a later date. I'm off to see this on 25 November, looking forward to it now and not been to the Other Palace since it was the St James in 2014!

Never seen Aspects. I was £1 short in cash for a ticket to the tour when I was a 17 year old student, and didn't have a card with me... Maybe this time if it gets a transfer. Spring I've seen in New York, Lyric Hammersmith and West End, all excellent. The small UK tour that did Greenwich was horrendously bad though. Just goes to show a bad production can make a good show suck.Couldn’t agree more there... I often wonder what Les Mis, Phantom, Saigon etc would have been like in the wrong hands. Would they be what they are today without the right production team at the time? What didn't you both like about the tour? I saw it at Greenwich having seen it previously at Hammersmith but I can't really remember the differences. I actually quite enjoyed the NYMT production last summer!

I loved Lyn Paul in it when I saw it in London, that must have been coming up ten years ago now, I can't believe she is back in it again!

He is actually a national hero. He is often the only reporter outside the court of child grooming rape gangs. No feminists or left wingers in sight confronting child groomers. And in the process of one trial was arrested and later convicted for contempt of court... Slightly confusing that you seem to be critical of trial by media in the other thread but don't have an issue with it in this context. They shouldn't be being 'confronted' by people outside of court, we have a presumption of innocence and the right to a fair trial for a reason.

42 so far, including Barnum and both musicals at Southwark, plus Chess. 42!! Wow. To be fair if I lived in London still I would have booked many more already. I've only booked a few so far, similar to many others: Barnum Hamilton x2 Caroline or Change Chess Fun Home Company Before the end of the year I will probably book for: Hair Pippin Spring Awakening which makes it look like I am obsessed with the Hope Mill but it's juat shows I happen to want to see!

I've still not made it to the Hope Mill for a show yet, though still hoping to catch Hair and Pippin in London. I only saw Spring Awakening last year when the NYMT did it but I'd be tempted to see it again. I've never seen Aspects so would be interested in that too if I can make two trips to Manchester!

I stood for Chicago on Broadway at the back of the stalls but there was a ledge to lean and so I didn't have any complaints (from memory the ledge actually had markings on it like a bench seat would to show you how much leaning room was allocated for your ticket!).
The only other place I've stood was to see Titus at the Globe which I remember being a bit of a struggle, partly due to the heat and partly due to my back hurting!

I saw this last Thursday, really enjoyed it. I was upgraded from my cheapo seat in the Upper Circle to row C in centre of the Dress Circle so a real bargain!
Both leads really good I thought, liked the set and found it interesting as I didn't know a lot of the history covered. I agree when I was in there were some laughs in strange places!

I don't know the Gieldgud very well. Would people recommend the Dress Circle slips or the £25 seats in the Upper Circle? Thanks trying to decide what's best can't fork out for the stalls!

Not overheard as such but when we went to see Les Mis two foreign tourists were in our seats. They spoke very little English but I looked at their tickets with them and it turned out they were in the right seats but at the wrong theatre: they were meant to be seeing Daniel Radcliffe down the road in Equus! You'd think with the signage and merchandise they'd have twigged but obviously got past the ushers too.

Never have Tim Rice's lyrics seemed so timely... I take it you didn't? Sorry to hear the show was spoilt. I loved this production but couldn't bear risking seeing just a portion of it this year. One of the down-sides of open air productions in the UK. Yes it has been a terrible Summer for weather. I saw it last year. Feel sorry for my Dad who didn't. We saw a lot of good stuff although if I'm honest I don't think what I saw was as good as last year. Caipirinha's deep voice was actually pretty comical and I didn't feel that last year. Tonight's Jesus didn't have quite the range or control of Declan Bennett but his diction was a LOT better. I hate to say it but Tyrone didn't sound 100% tonight. I liked Mary and Peter. It's a shame how empty it was tonight. I can't complain about them cancelling it. Some people said they wished they'd just sung it but I bet they'd still have wanted a refund. We got 3/4 of a show and when it started raining during Gethsemane, it looked SO atmospheric. Either your phone auto corrected Caiaphas or you disappeared off to a bar and have been downing cocktails (who doesn't love a caipirinha!

I think I am one of the only people who liked this show! It certainly had it's faults but I did enjoy it overall at the New London and there were a handful of nice songs in it. I've never been to the Union before but probably won't be tempted to make a trip to London just to see this.

Given this and your 'Fister Act' and 'Seven Brothels' are we getting an insight of some kind here? I used to work for a bit of the BBC that provided TV listings info to various magazines and newspapers. Someone in the team - it wasn't me! - actually sent xmas listings info out with Chitty Chitty Gang Bang included, and it got published. Given who did it, we didn't rule out it not having been a genuine error. Lol! Leathers The 25th Annual Putnam County Smelling Bee

My laptop may be having a bad day as couldn't find it on the website or by Googling and that link doesn't say anything about concessions when I click on it, how strange! In any event thank you very much for your help I've now booked Never seen Barnum before so interested to see what it's like.

Can anyone help me with this please - I can see there are concession seats but can't find out anywhere who counts as a concession! Presumably OAPs are? Thanks

I hadn't paid any attention to this show at all but I'm looking for a Thurday matinee next week and just read reviews for this and I'm quite tempted to go.
I can't find any ticket offers and the tickets are really expensive, thinking about holding off given many of the seats are still free. Has anyone seen any offers?

I'm not too bothered about this myself but it is the first show my grandparents took my mum to see as a child in the West End when Michael Crawford was in it. I thought it would be a nice Christmas present for them all but I am put off slightly by the prices given I have to buy 6 tickets!

Ahhh that's really nice! I forgot I actuallt saw Martin Guerre back in 2007, the first time and went to the Watermill and specifically to see that show. I remember enjoying it but the details are hazy!
I didn't then go again until 2013 when our new tradition started so I'm sure I missed some great shows in that gap!
