Do you mind letting me know how you heard that? I'm on the Bridge mailing list but haven't received any info; I've just looked on the website and it's not even listed anymore! It’s still there on the link I posted in my original post. Robert Glenister is in it too. Yep it certainly is. Just clicked on your link and there it was...

Priority Members booking opens today at 10.00 AM, general public next Wednesday. Do you mind letting me know how you heard that? I'm on the Bridge mailing list but haven't received any info; I've just looked on the website and it's not even listed anymore! It's in Baz's Daily Mail column along with the fact that Joanne Froggatt will be taking the lead role...

I have just watched Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool, recently available on Netflix. Absolutely loved it, from the late 70s/early 80s setting, which was beautifully evocative with its migraine inducing wallpaper clashing with swirly carpets, to its avocado dado rails and yellow flocked bedspreads. Then there was the wonderful reunion of Walters and Bell (this time as mother and son) with Dame Jules bringing out her best Liverpudlian mother and Jamie Bell treating us to some great Saturday Night Fever moves. Frances Barber plays a wonderful cameo as the bitchster and Annette Bening is delightfully eccentric as Gloria Grahame. Totally agree, excellent film , why it didn't win handfuls of award is beyond me...

On reflection going to leave this to the ticketing Gods, will wait and see if any offers turn up later in the year as for the other ‘West End’ shows where I jumped in on the day of release this year. At worst will pay the same price as today later in the year when this booking cycle is over. I like the theory the only possible blot on the landscape would be the dreaded Dynamic Pricing !

That was a total meltdown on DMT priority this morning. First time that's ever happened. Got as far as checkout, it fell over. Second attempt, well... I'm a very happy monkey... Can't give you anything on prices as I couldn't spend time looking, but top non-premium is £65 in previews, and it looks like the usual price breaks at least. Oh, and programme vouchers are now £4.50. Fingers crossed for tomorrow....

Just wondering if anyone here is a Priority Member at the Bridge Theatre ?
I am an Advance Member and was wondering if the discounts at local bars/restaurants etc would justify upping my membership level ( also of course you get priority booking ).
Any views more than welcome...

A bit late posting but on Sunday I went along to the Royal Academy to hear David Bailey being interviewed and talking about his work. Fascinating stuff and the man still has charisma oozing out of every pore !

Revisiting the themes of Father without the subtlety and impact. The repetitive nature comes with the subject matter of dementia as with the limited experience I’ve had conversations and scenarios do seem to repeat themselves. As with the Father it comes down to the location, in this the comfort and continuity of the home is retained whilst in the Father the sufferer is put in an alien location adding to the disorientation of the dementia. Found it held my interest whilst piecing it together, concentration was required to determine who is actually there and what were memories as timelines interweaved but lacking the crushing ending of the Father. One positive, I now feel like a youngster, cannot recall being in an audience of such seniority, the average age of the actors on stage was significantly lower than that of the audience this afternoon. Very well said.

It's less exciting than it sounds. Basically I arrive to find the Mother mowing the lawn she (luckily) pauses to talk to me. As we talk there's a snake happily slithering through the long grass towards the mower. I grab a child's pink plastic spade (like you do) and a plant pot and chase said snake across the lawn a bit hoping to get him/her out of the path of death. Mother then takes the implements, scoops him/her up however fails to realise that snakes, well slither. As the snake nearly escapes she jumps, snake goes flying towards me....I duck, avoiding snake in the face by centimetres. We then recaptured it, and sent it on it's merry way into the bushes. Snakes making their way to bushes, Hm too much of a lady to make the obvious.....

Surely the middle ground parties should look to get their act together if Tories and Socialists are going to the extreme sides of their respective parties. This often happens if a party has suffered losses and it is the hard core rump left standing but not how the parties currently stand. The one wildcard never mentioned so much is David Miliband who probably should have been Labour Leader and when he finishes his tenure at IRC in New York may be courted to return to politics. Whether David would return to the Labour Party given their ongoing Anti-Semitic issues or the party has moved on from his views I don't know. But with both parties going towards their more extreme wings I could see David being courted to lead any new centrist party which may spring up and could look to get the old Lib-Dem type vote and appeal to the Tory remainers and the right of the Labour Party. Btw if I had a choice over Boris or Pratweazle Corbyn running the country it would be Boris all the way. Didn't David Owen come up with that idea in 1982

I sat in B10 last week and had no problem seeing what you refer to at the end, so you must have been unlucky... Yes we were sat in row D and had no problems either.
Excellent play !

Saw this yesterday and thought it was excellent, even better then when I saw it first many years ago at the Garrick. Never having watched Poldark I didn't know what to expect from Aiden Turner but he was first rate and lit up the stage whenever he was on. An aside : I would say the audience was probably 90% female ! obviously drawn to a play about the INLA and terrorism by the quality of the writing !!!

Thanks for your review, @parsley . While I am looking forward to seeing this, I have found the reviews in the national papers and on here a bit mystifying: nobody responds in a way that suggests a Five star production - it all feels a bit lukewarm and the focus of the play isn’t very clearly conveyed. People don’t say, for example, that it was incredibly moving or extremely funny. Parsley’s is one of the few write ups that contains an impassioned response. It’s not funny at all There is some mild comedy here and there There were a few scenes which are well acted and therefore were moving But this was due to KP amazing talent The dialogue is pedestrian at best I was never convinced The two leads had a meaningful marriage Even in the past The other couple We’re also weird and didn’t fit into some of the scenes And that incessant pathetic dancing Between scene changes So annoying and forced I also found the set quite wanting The house is tiny About 5-6 rooms Even accounting for a few we might not be able to see So I am not sure how or why it takes The lead a full time role To clean such a tiny house Ridiculous You obviously haven't witnessed how long it takes me to clean my house !

If I remember my maths at school, which I excelled at, think the proven formula was/is. Strong Sales (Sold Out) x Great Reviews = West End Transfer. I'm crossing everything I can for that !
