My rebooked shows came through this evening. Upgraded from Stalls Row B (£20) to Stalls Row C (£67.50), which works for me. Thanks to Nimax for doing the right thing once again. I love that that is a common sense upgrade. I had the same for Harry Potter, a bargain at the side in the upper circle moved to the middle rather than just up a price band and therefore further away!

Why Love Changes Everything Think it was a tribute to Don Black and I suppose Andrew LW was handy too!! I assume as if we never said goodbye was too obvious

I feel it was a shame there weren’t songs from the other nominated best musicals. I know it’s always trickier for closed shows but they are all kind of closed at the moment. I’d have loved representation for Waitress and especially Amelie

I'm going on Tuesday afternoon. I booked it when the show went on sale as it's half term week, now it turns out that they're letting their standbys (Lydia White and Josh Barnett) have it as a scheduled show so they get to perform at least once. As someone who enjoys seeing different takes on the same role that's perfect timing for me, I'll get to see Lydia and Josh live in the theatre and then Molly and Oli on the stream a few weeks later. Great to see enthusiasm for seeing covers. I love that in the 3 times I saw the les mis concert (including cinema) I had 3 different pairings of Valjean and Javert. Fingers crossed for a no Ball no Boe next time. Great for the standbys too, they have a chance for people to go to see them!!

If James Corden is in it (as Max?) I shall boil myself alive, chop my arms off, roll myself in glitter, set myself on fire then sing “I’ve come hoooome at laaaaaaaast”. Cheers. He’s playing Joe. Sacha Baren Cohen is playing Max.

Stalls B, which is front row, priced at only £20 booked direct with Nimax. It is a very high stage (as the website warns) but a bargain if you are prepared / tall enough for the significant look-up. We're combining it with Les Mis concert on the same day. and very lucky to have secured the dead centre front row stalls for both. The seat either side of the two I booked were immediately removed from sale. A much better system for the customer than selling seats only in social bubbles. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ve booked for January, the matinee after Les Mis the night before!

Presumably that's a typo, and should say "and will now be rescheduled". The show as sold, with bubbles of up to 6, will not be rescheduled though. If you’ve booked a 6 they cannot just reseat you (would you want 2 3s or 3 2s for example). sometimes with these things the wording is blunt.

Received this. So they say its cancelled and not happening. Then say new dates to follow ! So something seems amiss ! Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic we regret to inform you that SUNSET BOULEVARD at Alexandra Palace Theatre, London on 25/10/2020 is cancelled and will not be rescheduled. A face value refund will be credited to the card used to make the booking or your Paypal account respectively and tickets are not required to be returned. Please allow up to 28 working days for this refund to clear. New dates for 2021 will be announced shortly so please keep an eye on our website for full details. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused and if you have any further query, feel free to contact us at www.seetickets.com/CustomerService (Live chat available) I think it is because they can’t just move your booking. If the reason for cancellation is they can’t now have bigger bubbles then they have to cancel and I guess the booking system doesn’t give a nicer way to handle that

Just looked up how far away Leicester is and not sure I can justify a £100 train journey for this. Good luck to everyone trying for tickets, it looks well organised.

The Shows Must On:
Palladium Panto:
I can't say for certain the wording hasn't changed since they went on sale but the impression I always had was that you had to be from the same household/bubble. I know some attendees have stretched the rules but most shows never encouraged mixed groups.

The extra two weeks are on sale. DMT+ membership bypasses the main queue. There is cast information for the extension but it went by quickly, so please correct me if this is wrong. JOJ on Tuesday evening, Wednesday matinee and Saturday matinee. MB away on Wednesday 20th and Wednesday 27th (evenings), no mention of who the cover is. I spotted that trick yesterday and used it today as ironically the date I wanted only came in the extension (hopefully the weekend before I go to Paris so fitting!) I got straight in, found a seat and after a struggle at checkout was done by 12:07. I now have a JOJ and a Boe show booked, same as last time!

I went for the £20 in the Upper Circle row A side view. It's restricted view, but hopefully it won't be too terrible. Has any of you sat there before? If so, your comments would be appreciated. I sat there in January for the new staged version. Legroom not great, if I remember there is a ledge, but great for the money! You may miss whoever is stood your side but the leads tend to be in the middle.

4.5 hours later. I got 2 for 23rd December. But there was literally nothing left. Do you think DMT kept some back for General sale tomorrow, or they put everything they had on sale at once? I'm sure there will be more tomorrow and they have kept some back for general sale plus rumour of more dates. When I went on on Monday with DMT+ it didn’t look like they’d held tickets back, not like some presages with only 1/2 the seats showing certainly. They can add a few weeks on though!

I couldn’t bear the anticipation so bought dmt+ so I can rest easy tomorrow. I’m going the matinee before panto in the evening the Saturday before Christmas. I was able to use my les mis and dear Evan Hansen credit to offset it! And 90 minutes later I get a special pre-sale email as I had a Les-Mis credit voucher [facepalm]. At least I saved the booking fee!

...you can use your Les Mis credit vouchers but that prices will be different from the main show. Can I use my dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton credit though? That might be the difference between getting in and top-premium the amount I have saved up now!!

I’ve booked the Saturday before Christmas. Not many bottom price and very few singles but that’s fair for panto. Not knocking other COVID pantos but they haven’t scrimped on ‘names’ for this one so I can see why it’s priced high but my bargain front row extreme side seat last year is top price this year! After rent online and the sondheim concert at CFT having a ticket appear my bank card needs a rest after the last 24 hours!

Don't quite understand why Hope Mill making such a fanfare re the presale to this. Surely if it's online there is no limit to tickets they can sell?! And hence no rush to get them. Revenue stream to pay for the set maybe.....!? The release is I ambiguous but you could read it as they are selling as many online streams as they can’t sell tickets. There is a discount too seemingly. Who actually knows though!

I’ve just got my priority email and booked. The stress of booking a show as soon as it goes on sale is something I haven’t felt in a While. There was an option for merchandise but it said sold out and I didn’t want to miss out on the ticket while faffing!

Gosh this sold out quickly. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time to bag some tickets! Deffo an appetite for it. I wonder if they'll turn it into a longer running thing?! Is this before Jimmy Carr's little residency? There is obviously an audience for shows! I know that the economics don't work but really glad things are starting to happen (and even gladder I got a ticket!)

Just out of interest, has anyone else worked out what they have saved by not having access to theatre and culture over the past 7 months? I mean we would all rather it was there, for many reasons, but I was working it out yesterday and I think that by the time theatre resumes in any way normally, which I imagine will be spring (and I'm not risking it on the whole before then) , I think I will have saved upwards of 4 thousand pounds on tickets, travel, accommodation, food, drinks and merch ect. It's actually scary to me that's how much I spend. I never even batted an eyelid about the costs of going to the theatre/events until I worked this out. When I was off work I saved more now I am back at work and on minimal hours not so much. Saying that the chance of me going to see a show again if they decide to all go contactless is zero. I have not got and can't get a debit card. If I was able it would probably be one of those basic ones without contact payment. But I can't even get one of those either. I just REALLY wish it wasn't Pretty Women as the last thing I saw. I wouldn't have minded but only went for one actor and he was off that day. It’s worth looking into the pre-pay debit cards. A lot have contactless now, I have one as a backup card. They all have slightly different rules but it’s an option. I don’t think the theatres will go truly contactless though, but who knows!

A circus. All covid secure etc was due to open in Brighton this Wednesday. Employed 70. Had all the approvals in an area with relatively low prevalence. They've just been told they can't go ahead. Disgusted that this can happen so late in the day That’s a huge shame. I hate seeing these companies who are trying being knocked back. The same happened with a funfair locally but theme parks can open!
