I’d decided I was done with the online shows. I’ve loved them but loved the in person ones more. This has got me back for one last show tonight though. I loved Jonathan’s enthusiasm when he did his speeches at the end when I saw them live and will be great to see him in the cast

I booked for Sunday in the Park with George as I’d never seen it. The cast was a bonus. I agree that most people booked for the star though

I just had a look at my local theatre’s website (Mayflower Southampton) and their dates have moved from September 2021 to May 2023! Madness!!

Can they legally take 9 pounds fee? I have 40 tickets and want a refund! Anyone work in box office and know the legals? I didn’t twig that it wouldn’t be a full refund until I saw others on Twitter mentioning this. I’ve decided to hold on to my ticket. Already got 3 shows rescheduled to 2022, what’s one more?

Just got an email from Eventim that it's been postponed again to 2022 and that Whoopi will no longer be in it. So shall be asking for a refund. I was just trying to find this thread as had the same email. the price I paid was for Whoopi, always a a risk she won’t be on but surely loads of people will be cancelling knowing she definitely isn’t.

I hope it will come back, as socially distanced theatre will definitely have a place before full theatre. I have 2 bookings which I am sure will move again but I'll keep rolling them as long as I can! It would have been great to see the 'stars' but I am just as thrilled to see other stars! (I saw Ball and JOJ & Earl and Boe the first time around).

And you think the PR statements from RUG (which falsely claimed the 2020 tour would be an "exact replica" of what is seen at Her Majesty's and the Majestic) are? The person who wrote this knows what they're talking about. scarpia can I ask please, what needs to happen to the return of POTO to make you happy? I’m intrigued too. Rightly or wrongly the exact same show isn’t coming back. So in a choice of a tour based version or no Phantom what should it be?

I think there is just a hint of overreaction here. Yes, it is a series 9f bigger and smaller changes and the Phans don't like that sort of thing. But for the audience seeing the show for the first time, as long as there is a big chandelier moment and it all looks abd sounds opulent, they will be happy and fully entertained. I saw the show on Broadway about 25 years ago and it looked tired then. A refresh is overdue and necessary. I see it that Phantom of the Opera has closed. The choice Is bring back a slightly technically different version or put something else in. It is tricky as unlike Les Mis nobody had a chance to say goodbye but the changes seem nowhere near as drastic. I was lucky enough to be at closing night of the original Les Miserables and have seen the new version and loved them both (and the concert which I may get to see at some point this year). But this isn't Rent Remixed. For the vast majority of people it will be Phantom of the Opera with no noticeable issues.

I've just booked for the Double Bill tomorrow. I still think that my first time in Brighton was the best, can't beat live theatre, but so glad this has found an audience

Just had an email from ATG rescheduling my concert ticket to the first night that they are intending to reopen. Very happy, fingers crossed for 19 June! I was rebooked to 26/06 which I can’t do. I got muddled in how to request a different date (the link took me to a generic FAQs so replied asking for 19/06. Fingers crossed

I'd already used a panto refund to book for this at The Mayflower and now used my Waitress TodayTix voucher (for the 3rd time!) towards seeing it in London too as I can't see that cast all touring!

Henry Lewis is Oscar tonight - looks like we’re getting more rotation with the cast this time round. I saw this and booked. Great to have a mix! (And glad they announced as I can’t afford to see every show!)

I responded to the email to request a specific night and got a reply quite quickly confirming the reallocation. So if there's a night you definitely want that's worth doing, but otherwise I think they're just working through. I think they’ll give me reopening night, when I’d be double booked but will move my other plans. If they give me the Saturday after I’ll need to reboook Come from Away.

Fully expected but nice that they are moving us to full show at same price. My June diary is pretty open (we'll blank actually) i normally go abroad in June but can't see that happening. Well that was quick, just had e mail with new date (first Friday performance) and same seats as before and no extra charge. The plan is showing nearly every seat available so I guess they are in the process of moving people across as I am pretty sure the concerts had sold very well Has anyone else heard? I was booked for the first Saturday and not hady new date confirmed (if my maths is right I’ll be double booked)

The concerts are now officially cancelled and ticket holders will be moved to matching dates in the full run starting 19/06. Hopefully they confirm exact dates soon as if I get the first Saturday (which would be great) I’m double booked!

Now cancelled up until 28/02. Can rebook between 02/03-08/04 which isn’t a big window! I thought they might have added another month.

If ever there was a song for right now its Totally F****d!
I saw this twice at the Novello including closing night which was amazing. The encore of the above mentioned song after the bows was out of this world. Shame the show mainly sold to those who could only afford it with a discount.
I will definitely have to make a trip to the Almeida

It is as if they have forgotten there is such a thing as half term. So removed from real life are they. Don’t MPs get a half term break? They seem to have other seasonal holidays like schools!

Would like a DVD as no internet at home. I can't see anything that is being streamed. Me too. Internet is OK but don’t like the risk of having to watch at a certain time.

Just logged onto my account and I've also been moved to the 20th March. Fine with me as my social calendar for 2021 ain't exactly overflowing with events. Mine is full of all the things I should have done in 2020 plus the new openings we are crossing our fingers full. If I have to condense much more I’ll be at the theatre every Saturday (oh no I hear you cry)

I haven't had an email, but logged into my Nimax account and saw my tickets have been moved to Sat 20 March. I haven’t had an email. It’s weird as it has moved and you can book for the new dates!

Moved again to 17-21 March. I can't do that Saturday as I'm due to go to Birmingham. Just asked to rebook Six and Jamie for that week too (darn me trying to be efficient. Six at 17:00 and concert at 19:00 is a bit too dangerous isn't it? (I can possibly do that on the Thursday) When did you hear? I've not had anything through so far but I must say not surprised about the 2nd move as I can't see London coming out of Tier 4 by the end of Jan. I had notifications about Six and Jamie today so checked the site and couldn't see The Show Must Go on. It is now back but booking still takes you to the January dates so I guess we'll get an email soon.

Given the amount of teaching pupils have missed in the last year & the increase in the number of people unemployed, it seems to me that it would kill two birds with one stone if all pupils repeated a year of school. Then they'd all be on a (more) level playing field in terms of education and there wouldn't be a few hundred thousand school leavers added to the number of people looking for jobs. My nephew is in year 11 and whether or not he’d admit it he would benefit from this hugely. He was just starting to improve in year 10 when shutdown came and took a long time to get to seeing remote learning as more essential than sleeping every day! He is now in year 11 not knowing if / when / how he will do exams and what comes next!
