After the advice on here I spent a little bit of my evening refreshing the website. I have now possibly got a ticket for the first previews but I'm not sure. I filled in all the bank stuff and pressed confirm but in my excitement (well I was chatting on the phone) I took too long to do the bank password bit. It then told me the transaction had failed but the money went out of my bank account and I have a booking confirmation email. It's too late to phone Nimax now so I'll have to do it tomorrow morning. What do people think my chances are of the ticket being mine? I've had a similar situation once before but I never had a booking confirmation email and didn't have a seat booked, any think there's any chance I've been luckier this time round? I got the error message at the end too but had the confirmation email and the money gone. Assuming it's fine!

Damn. How are you guys spotting when they are adding tickets? Are you just on the site all the time? I've been looking a couple of times a day just in case. Pot luck I guess. Ahh I just got some for 16th/17th tickets! Thanks for the heads up lovely theatreboard folk!

I just want to see something that suggests the story is satisfying and the characters that so many grew up with are given the proper treatment. As someone that grew up with the books, worked in a bookshop for the launch of the final book and worked on the final 2 movies I just want it to be a brilliant story that JK just had to tell and not a cash cow!

I've basically had a constant Hamilton loop since October. Usually Say No to This, Guns & Ships or Washington on Your Side!

Insane queue outside the theatre at the moment, another invited dress presumably. It's all the way from the box office at the side of the theatre, in front of the theatre and up Charing X rd to outside the giant Foyles!
Also the theatre front doors are open so the huge selection of merch is visible! There is a lot of stuff!

On another note, AOL has been doing these Hamilton interviews, and I have to say that the interviewer is amazing and knows her stuff. She did one with Daveed, but this version with Alex Lacamoire the arranger and musical director is the best. I love what he does here, and the little bit of My Shot that he plays is everything. That's BroadwayGirlNYC on twitter... she's awesome!

It's been unofficial for a while but confirmed yesterday. Anything with Lin-Manuel Miranda gets my thumbs up!

Perhaps they're doing a dummy run to see how long it actually takes to strip search and x-ray the entire audience and get them all to their seats? Everyone looked quite dressed up. I'm at Aladdin so will see if people are coming out of the Palace when I come out of this!

Just walking past the theatre and there are loads of people going in with tickets, all getting bag checked and body scanned with those handheld detectors before they go into the building.
Have performances started yet? Must be an invited dress or press event?

I tend to go for the restricted end one on the front row of the dress circle (A7). You have to look through the safety rail, but it's not too annoying. Plus added bonus of not having muppets sat in front of you. A7 circle fan here too! Also twice when I've been sat there I've been moved along the row into a better seat when the show started due to latecomers etc!

I was at the Old Vic last night for Tim Minchin's one-night only show and he played three songs from Groundhog Day, one of which he roped in the actress playing the role to come down from her seat in the Dress Circle to sing it. I think she was Georgina Hagen. Anyway, all three songs were rather good, so I'm hoping I will enjoy this once it opens. I was there too. Loved the 3 Groundhog Day songs. As a Minchin fan for 10+ years it was such a treat to see just him and his piano on stage.

Just had an email about the "Friday Forty" www.harrypottertheplay.com/ticket-information/Every Friday at 1pm we will release 40 tickets for every performance the following week, for some of the very best seats in the theatre, at an amazingly low price. These tickets will be known as ‘The Friday Forty’. To purchase these tickets, you need to visit THIS webpage just as the countdown clock turns to zero. At 1pm every Friday, the countdown will change into a ‘book tickets’ button. Click the button and you will be taken through to an online virtual queue. Customers will then be selected at random for the opportunity to buy tickets online. The first release of The Friday Forty will be on Friday 3 June for reduced price preview performances commencing 7 June. Subsequent ticket releases will take place each Friday for performances taking place the following week. Tickets will be located in great seats throughout the theatre and will be priced at £30 during previews (£15 per part from 7 June until 30 July) and £40 (£20 per part from 3 August after the Official Opening) and will secure a seat for both Part One and Part Two in consecutive performances. You will be able to purchase a maximum of two tickets for both Part One and Part Two in one transaction. To ensure that as many people as possible have the chance to access these great value tickets, they will only be available to buy online. It will not be possible to purchase these tickets in person at the Palace Theatre or anywhere else. Returned and other late-release tickets may also become available at short notice. These are not guaranteed, but any tickets that do become available will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, online or in person at the Palace Theatre box office at full price.

A question about front row seats - I'm going next Friday, sitting front and centre, am I likely to get splattered? I wasn't planning on wearing anything flashy/expensive, but not planning on wearing a plastic poncho or a boiler suit either. Regarding 'guilty pleasures' I seem to be the only person in the whole of London who enjoyed The Mentalists last year, so it's obviously Diff'rent Strokes for different folks when it comes to this, I'm taking all of the remotely negative comments with a pinch of salt. I was front row seat 2 last night and I got splattered by a tiny bit of stuff that when dried it brushed off. Think is may have been a paper/ water type mix.

I am totally into #Sam4Ham idea and dreaming of seeing Sam Mackay as Hamilton - and even more after that Hamilton Medley video from the recent concert! Oooh! Do you still have a link to the video? I haven't seen it!

re-visited Wicked last night after not seeing it for a couple of years. Not sure who I saw as I didn't buy a programme but thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was pretty well sung. Woman next to me got her phone and e-cigarette out within 5 minutes of it starting, had to ask her to put her phone away 3 times before she actually did! Grr Was in row E of the circle after buying £25 tickets through the recent Lastminute.com offer so was pretty pleased with those seats. Circle was 2/3 full. Elphaba- Natalie Andreou.. Ahh thank you!

Good luck on the ticket acquiring! Thank you! Standing room for Dear Evan Hansen (was so grateful to get in!) and I'm in row D for Color Purple tonight! Excellent work! I'm sure you've seen it already but if you are going to try Hamilton there's basically a running commentary on the cancellation line over on BroadwayWorld which might be helpful.

I'm in New York this week! Currently in line for tickets to see The Color Purple. I'm so excited I'll get to see Cynthia do this role. Depending on whether I get evening or matinee I'm going to try and rush Dear Evan Hansen online or get try for the general admission tickets. Also on the to see list this week: Hamilton (living on a prayer!) American Psycho She Loves Me School of Rock Shuffle Along Waitress Will be a miracle if I get into all of them but have plenty of backup options which I've seen already - finding neverland, fun home and something rotten - or maybe Bright Star. Good luck on the ticket acquiring!

The Producers So thrilled for Ham and all its nominations. Pleasantly surprised for Phillipa Soo and Christopher Jackson, I thought they were going to get edged out!
