Hearing Lin Manuel Miranda is in town. Anyone got any gossip? I wouldn't be surprised if he made an appearance - maybe to accept an award should In the Heights win and / or to announce Hamilton coming to London. The In the Heights cast hasn't been told anything though (as of yesterday that is). Im tempted to go to Covent Garden tomorrow and loiter, I'm missing Lin's signature from my Ham playbill!

Most shows I've ever managed in one day is 13. If you want to do lots in a day it's totally possible.

Yes definitely keep some free time scheduled in. Primarily because there will be reviews/ word of mouth etc that will mean you might find other shows you want to see but also shows always run over/ start late so try not to schedule stuff back to back unless its at the same venue.
All the shows aren't on the website and on sale yet, that wont be until programme launch which is usually end of May. Generally you can book everything through the Edfringe site then. Free shows are unticketed so schedule time in to queue for them beforehand. Also on the day there is the half price hut where you can get some discounted tickets.
If you book all your tickets through the official site you should be able to go to any frigne box office or ticket machine when you arrive and print all your tickets off at once in an act I like to call "obtaining a ticket scarf"
Hope that's helpful!

Sorry if this has already been asked... Does anyone know where they hand out red carpet audience wrist bands on Sunday morning? Or at least I presume it's Sunday morning!

I reckon Lin Manuel Miranda is going to make an appearance at the Oliviers. He's on holiday from Hamilton at the moment, the Olivier Twitter just posted a video of Groff doing his best message to the people of England, and I just searched Twitter for "Lin Manuel Miranda London" and someone tweeted about seeing them on their flight yesterday. Is it too much to hope for a little Ham performance on Sunday do we think?

You don't need to face it head on, so I'd go for the side a bit closer, although ideally not too near the back of the stage. Having stated my preference, the most enthusiastic question at Monday's post-show q&a came from three students who saw it from the very front row far down one of the sides, and who wanted to stage it themselves (ambitiously!) at their university drama group. So, wherever you pick to sit, enjoy! Thank you!

Anyone that has been to the show... I'm going on tuesday and about to book a ticket, there are only a few seats left that face the front of the stage and they are back row. Am I better off in the back row facing the stage head on or would I be better off closer up with a side on view?
Thanks!

Re Hunchback = If anyone watches the tv series 'The Flash' or 'Legends of Tomorrow' on Sky, the girl who plays Kendra/Hawkgirl, is Ciara Renee, who played Esmerelda on the new production/recording. Talented Girl! Given that the current lot of DC universe TV shows are populated by many great singers and broadway types (Ciara Renee and Arthur Darvill in Legends, Grant Gustin, Jesse L Martin, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh in The Flash and Melissa Benoist in Supergirl) I'm just waiting for a (hopefully) awesome musical crossover episode!

They performed Alexander Hamilton and My Shot. Then the live stream got cut off. They are performing more songs but if you aren't in The Room Where it Happens it appears they won't let you see it

Mormon was affordable if you booked tickets when they first went on sale before the prices inflated with demand. I would assume the same with Hamilton. Just book the moment it goes on sale to get the good value seats before they double in price.

When I did the cancellation line in October I started a line at 2:30pm and we were allowed to queue inside! Were you at least successful? A (staff) lady told me that meanwhile the cancellation line builds up over night. As I've said above: The guys in the tents are doing this professionally and selling their place in line to someone who doesn't want to wait for such a long time (I guess they are prebooked by them). These guys are in the queue (almost) every day. I did get a ticket. Row H stalls. An unused house seat as far as I can tell!

Just picked up my ticket for tonight. It's 2.30pm local time and the cancellation line is already 14 people long. The guys in the tents are professional line sitters and camp overnight at most of the days - people are paying them for a chance for a returned ticket. That's crazy. When I did the cancellation line in October I started a line at 2:30pm and we were allowed to queue inside!

Went to this again last night, first time seeing any understudies (Michael Cortez on for Sam McKay and I think Jocasta on for Jade Ewen) and impressed by both. It's just really nice to have this wonderful, uplifting show in London for a good chunk of time. Audience were really enjoying it and there were only a few empty seats. Lots of whooping at the balcony scene at the top of act 2 which I haven't experienced before- must be the Friday night crowd!

Saw the matinee today. Huge fan of both Uzo Aduba and Zawe Ashton already and thought they were both excellent in this, particularly Uzo, I was in the back row and still got so much from her performance. Wasn't sure for the first 30 mins but enjoyed it from Laura Carmichael's appearance onwards. Loved all the little trapdoors in the stage too.

Im really excited for this. Really impressed BY Jade Ewen in In The Heights and I love a bit of Disney. Treated myself to a great stalls seat for the first week of previews.

She was annoyingly just a few too many seats away for me to say anything. Annoying that no one else did! Eventually as a scene change happened an usher shined a torch at her and told her to stop, it still took her friend nudging her for her to notice the torchlight!

So just back from what must be the 2nd or 3rd preview?
The show is in impressive shape, the audience were in hysterics regularly and the cast are great. Particular shout out to Harry Melling who is seriously impressive, flawlessly two characters- the human and sock puppet. I worry for his voice though doing right shows a week! And can you get RSI from a sock puppet?
The pace is a little up and down, when it's tight it's properly brilliant, but you really notice the lower energy moments and I often craved a laugh when they energy dropped. hopefully as it's still so early on previews the rest will tighten up over the next few weeks and it'll do really well.
Came out at 9:20pm so it's running at under 2 hours. House was pretty much full and everyone seemed to be loving it apart from one woman who got her iPad out mid act one and checked emails for 5 minutes!!!
