She is, but "accidentally" (at least the way the Clorox thing is played, she picks up the wrong cup seemingly in error). I have this thought in my head that in the workshop productions, Andy Fickman read the stage directions and JD actually swapped the cups around while Veronica was distracted - am I imagining this (as in, does anyone else remember this from the workshop)? In any case it would be a smart move imo. I saw the workshop a couple of times and in my head can hear Andy emphasising that Veronica picks up the wrong mug, no input from JD (though that’s not to say they didn’t try something different at some point throughout the workshop week)

It could also be possible that third party sellers just haven’t received direction yet, and will be told to allow ticket purchasers to swap to another performance.

Olivia on as Veronica again. Wondering if no announcement was made because of the number of negative comments on Twitter last weekend

Even though you didn’t book through them, I would contact Theatre Royal Haymarket. Tell them what Encore have told you and ask if there is anything they are able to do that won’t incur a charge. I’ve seen on Twitter that they’ve been very helpful with people who weren’t able to make their booked performance despite booking with a third party so I think it’s probably worth talking to them.

That would show off the steps that the dancers were doing and add elegance and glamour to the routine. And tell the cameramen to get shots that show legs and feet, rather than close ups of facial expressions! The camera work on Strictly is so poor these days, if you care about looking at the dancing and technique

I just saw Olivia Moore as Veronica in Heathers, she was brilliant and would be a great Zoe for DEH. Completely agree

Carrie off for both shows today! Catch me running to the station in a mad panic, so happy after missing her first performance by 1 show

I don’t necessarily think Carrie is trying to ‘promote herself’, she doesn’t get creative choice over what goes in the programme I don’t think. One thing that does irk me about it though is that ‘Westerburg’ is spelt differently to how it is on the set The brochure has the correct spelling now, they probably corrected it after the first batch

Love an announcement about an announcement. Was hoping we would at least have a release date though. Yeah, that was rather anticlimatic

Loved it first time I saw it. Second time was a little disappointing for some reason. Btw is that Luke Baker aka the bully in "...About Jamie" in the pic stagebyte posted a few months ago? Yes in that picture Luke Baker is 2nd from the left, from when American Idiot was at the Arts

What time does this kick out on a matinee these days, given the added songs etc? Pretty sure on Saturday afternoon I got out about 5.30

I’m gutted. Have been wanting to see Olivia’s Veronica since the start of the TOP run and was at the matinee today. Having seen the show too many times, I could tell that Carrie wasn’t giving it 100% but I didn’t think she seemed unwell enough to not be able to do the evening show. Obviously I was wrong and I am kicking myself for not sticking around in town.

To change the subject just for a second. Today in America, the first ever Presidental emergency address will be sent to everyone's phone at 2:18pm, 18 minutes after the Wednesday matinees start. So most of the shows audiences phone will go off at every show. And that is why you turn off your phone when the show starts. A friend of mine turned their phone off deliberately, and the alert turned it back on. So that could be quite disruptive!

Any idea who replaces him? He plays a lot of roles in the show Brandon Lee Sears, who was a swing in Motown until last week. I believe Nathan Amzi will start doing his full track (adding Ram’s Dad to the roles he’s already playing) next week too.

I wasn't crazy about Rachelle Ann Go either but she's grown on me. I've seen her now five times and really think she's improved an awful lot. I quite like her Eliza now, although Phillipa Soo is still my favourite. I too felt that she had been improving over the course of the run, until last week when I saw the worst performance I’ve seen from her. It really felt like she was just going through the motions and her diction was very poor (and I’ve not had an issue with her diction previously)

Not sure how to link tweets here, but Baz tweeted the ensemble/swings that are staying and most of them are staying on. Miriam-Teak Lee isn't on the list so appears she's leaving - is she the only Angelica cover or has anyone else been on for Angelica? Can't find it. Is Jack Butterworth staying? Yes

Baz confirmed Cleve September is staying but haven’t said anything about Obioma. (Not. Yet. ?) According to Baz’s actual article on the DM website, he’s leaving. Dom Hartley-Harris will play Washington.

Some fangirl is going off on Twitter for the audience not screaming when Carrie ripped her shirt open and getting the shut the f*** up look from the woman next to her. 😂😂 Oh dear!! Nobody screamed on Tuesday night but then that’s a Tuesday night audience after previews for you! They were still very appreciative but definitely a bigger mix than the mostly young adults of my last three times. And no screaming when she ran out after the makeover either on Tuesday, which I’m always grateful for, being one of a rare breed of Heathers fans who actually want to hear the singing. There seems to be an expectation from some of these Heathers fans that every audience MUST be the most enthusiastic and respond exactly the same way but that’s not how theatre audiences work. There’s so many factors at play: age, whether you know the show, personality, to name a few of the most obvious.

I'm in row D, so hopefully I'm safe? God, if there's one thing I hate (apart from bad audience behaviour), then it's audience participation. Just don't do it. Don't. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, first preview was central row D (and from a photo I saw on twitter earlier, tonight or this afternoon was possibly aisle row D) But as Baemax says, you don’t actually have to do anything, just sit there

The position of Steve has changed. He is no longer in the first or second row There isn’t a set position for Steve - it wasn’t always first or second row at The Other Palace and yesterday Rebecca Lock tweeted someone saying she had free reign, so in effect it could still be anywhere

Can anyone tell me what cover John Lumsden is? Is he a 1st or 2nd cover JD. 1st and only cover. Apart from some as yet unexplained role sharing and so the 2 adult male roles having 2 covers listed, all other roles only have 1 cover

I read, on here I think, a mention of loud noises and pyros in this? It wasn't really elaborated on then. Is anyone willing to spoil it for me? {Spoiler - click to view} There are, I think, 4 gunshot noises (3 at the end of Act 1, 1 about midway through Act 2) and also explosion noises at the end of Act 2.
No pyros, just flashing lights during the 2nd to last song of Act 1

It seems a little weird that the tickets for that will include access to ALL M&Gs, as these are usually extras. I am afraid that if someone more famous is announced they will put extra tix for pics/autographs with them. Well, the tickets include the opportunity to book access to all M&Gs. Nearer to the event you have to register for the sessions you want to attend, so you could spend all that money and end up not getting to attend any of the panels/workshops/M&Gs that you wanted.
