Question for those who watched it live by VPN? Was it live live? Did you get the flubs and outtakes and all? There were two restarts at the actual show. Yes, live live with the flubs and restarts (as much as a stream can be - the Official London Theatre account was posting the winners on X a few seconds before they were announced on my stream)

Got to the front, bought a £25 ticket, and paid the booking fee as there was no option to login at the checkout stage. I booked a matinee in July and there looked to be a lot of availability among the lowest two prices still. You have to log in at the calendar page, but if you contact them you should be able to get the fee refunded

There are still tickets available for the May and June performances (and I was only looking at Friday & Saturday so you’d expect that other days of the week may have more still available)

My best queue place is 6840 so might be waiting for the key worker tickets depending on how quickly the queue goes as can only be at my desk until 9

Jamie was originally Georg if I remember correctly? So I guess they'll need someone else in for that role as well. He was a swing (Georg was one of his 1st covers)

Jamie Muscato as Melchior with other original cast reprising roles. Announced at WOS awards I was wishing for this (Jamie as Melchior) so I am absolutely thrilled

I did, I was in the Dress Circle so street level and exited through the main foyer. Ah that’s great, quite obvious to spot then? Yes, there was a member of staff with a large tray of badges

Did any of you who went last night successfully pick up a free west end premiere badge? Which level were you on? I did, I was in the Dress Circle so street level and exited through the main foyer.

Sounds like they have a great pair of ‘Roger’s - I saw the La Vie company this evening and Tom Major was the stand-out for me, so I’m looking forward to seeing Ben Fenwick’s take on Saturday after the previous comments.
Rent is the musical that got me in to musical theatre, roughly 17 years ago. I really liked this production - there were a couple of choices I wasn’t wholly on board with but I mostly thought it was a brilliant staging with some great performances.

Another one who was at the matinee yesterday (seems it was something of an unofficial TheatreBoard takeover!). 5 stars from me. I thought it was uniformly excellent - the play itself, the design, the performances - and I found it deeply moving. I don’t have much more to add that hasn’t already been said.
Also to note, I was on an aisle of the Dress Circle so could make a very quick getaway, but I’d made it to Trafalgar Square by 17:00 and Charing Cross by 17:04 (from a 14:00 start time), so it came in at a little under 3 hours.

Can anyone tell me if Bare - The Album which is 2 parts is this musical? Don't want to bother with it if it's something completely different but I can't find anything saying Bare the pop opera. Yes, that’s the pop opera version (On Spotify it’s listed as Bare the Album - Act 1 and Bare the Album Act 2)

1. Next to Normal (so worth the long wait) 2. Groundhog Day (a very welcome return) 3. Once in Concert (getting to see Jamie Muscato excel in a dream role) 4. A Little Life (incredible performances) 5. Dear England (just an all-round great play)
Bonus mention for the Moulin Rouge 2022-2023 cast change performances - a hilarious muck-up matinee and a very emotional evening show.

Does anyone know who the cast was on the royal variety segment? Pretty sure it wasn't the German cast. Is a UK production planned? Seemed odd to have them sing two songs in the Disney segment for a show no one can see in the UK, and has never been performed here. It was the Paper Mill Playhouse cast

Stranger Things seems over represented considering it hasn't actually officially opened yet... I think all but one of their nominations were chosen by their panel rather than the public nomination process. I wouldn’t be surprised if it had received those nominations in the hopes of boosting traffic, by getting non-theatre fans to vote for their favourite TV show.

Well I’m annoyed at myself because somehow I completely missed that there was a sign up for priority booking - hoping there are tickets in my price range left for the performances I’m hoping to book on Friday

Anyone know of any guest performances this week or group numbers? Will put it in a spoiler just in case anyone doesn’t like to know ahead of time: Joss Stone singing something from The Time Traveller’s Wife on the results show, and My Fair Lady and A Chorus Line group dances

Are the under 30's tickets completely gone now for this show? I was hoping to punt one for a Rachel show, but the link on the official website just doesn't do anything to the price now. I know this has been selling incredibly, so it wouldn't shock me if they were gone aeons ago. They ended the offer after about 10 days. Seats that were released as part of the offer were still available, but made full price. I still don’t know if their wording was off with “5000 seats will be released” and they actually made more than 5000 seats available with the offer ending when 5000 were sold, or if they put a deadline on it that wasn’t made explicitly clear. (She says as someone who missed out because she had to wait to confirm dates with someone - one day the offer and seats were available, and the next it wasn’t even though the seats were still available).

Looks like they did lots of numbers: full Way Down Hadestown video has been posted by Theatre Fan, and there are clips of Wedding Song, When the Chips are Down and Our Lady of the Underground on the What’s On Stage Instagram

Might be a silly question, but have you looked on Seatplan? They do have Broadway theatres on there, though there might not be as many reviews as there are for the London theatre.

Sorry to be that guy but can anyone who has been say whether it's a high stage or not. Wondering about the new tickets in the first 2 rows which are steep in price. From my seat in row F, it looked like the stage was at about top of the head height for those in the front row. I think there was a bit of a gap between the stage and the front row, so I don’t think it would be too much neck strain. Regarding my earlier post about the running time, it got out at about 22:30 tonight. Scene changes really added to the length.

Likely due to the train strike, but on Saturday by 10:30, they had reduced all the remaining singles in the Royal Circle to £29 or £39, including one in the centre of the front row for £39. They’re always more likely to reduce the singles down a fair amount than 2+ seats. I’m waiting to see what happens with tonight’s performance - if they release standing and haven’t reduced any seats to a price I’m willing to pay, I’ll just go with standing.

How well is this selling? They seem to be advertising it in every ITV ad break this week! It’s selling very well, however they seem to do a lot of sales close to the performance (like the week of) rather than more in advance, so that could be the aim of the TV advert push - to generate more advance sales.

Have the U30s tickets sold out? Yes, the Ticket Info page on the website now has They made more than 5000 tickets available then (which wasn’t how it was worded on the specific page of the website) as tickets that were part of the offer are still available, just now at full price.

On the B&C website, they’ve put the months that the different Clydes and Blanches are performing, but haven’t put venues e.g. Alex James Hatton is February-April and Danny Hatchard is April-October so don’t know when in April the changeover will happen
Edit to add: Looks like they’ve put it at the bottom of the What’s On Stage article. Alex will play Clyde up to and including Glasgow. Catherine starts the tour as Blanche, then Daisy takes over from Nottingham until Brighton, with Catherine returning for Birmingham onwards.
