Would far rather be too hot than too cold; have got a list of theatres I don't go to past October, with the Union at the top... Me too abby-once I'm cold there's no shifting it. Although my hot flushes are doing quite a good job at present!

It's a miracle my bones didn't melt and my skin drop off at the Bristol Hippodrome on Saturday night. Zowie Cavey!

Oh, that's something I struggle with too in a MAJOR way, the rest of the office come over all maternal and start making strange coochy-coo noises ! Me I just here bemused.... Give me a dog on the other hand....
But yes I'm clearly missing the gene that tells you what to say/do when presented with tiny human folk and their mothers.
Howzabout a lil summit summit like this...?! postimg.org/image/o2lszi3m3/

Ute is on a Europe and UK tour this year - hope this link works: utelemper.com
Not only does it look good but she was chatting with Graham Norton on his Radio 2 show on Saturday and it sounds good too. She's very passionate about what she does and I'm very much looking forward to seeing La Chanteuse. What a night I'm sure it'll be!

I saw the 'naked' production at the Savoy in 2013...there's barely any nakedness at all, just a snatch of it right at the end...ha, boom boom 🤣 I'm just too funny!

They totally do. My mum had a detached retina last year, and fixing that left her with a cataract that has also just been fixed. She was at Moorfields getting emergency treatment for the detached retina - being seen by the top consultant - when he was reminded that he had a private patient waiting for an appointment. He literally said 'well this NHS patient has an emergency, so they'll just have to wait!' Love the NHS. I second that, Kathryn! My partner had to have corrective eye surgery there a few years back to successfully clear up the mess that Op****x left them in after laser surgery. Moorfields were ace. If only Moorfields had popped up in all the research we'd done before she opted to have the original surgery but hindsight blah blah. I trust your mum's eyes are now tip top or ish, at least?!

You won't regret it, just you see! How'd you mean? If you do need to book flights in order to see this then I think/hope you'll find its worth it! (Or did I get the wrong end of the stick?! 😕)

I'm slightly worried that Evita isn't going to extend and will close in Germany in July, I hope this isn't the case as I would love for the show to carry on for many more months... If it does close in Germany in July, I'll have to book flights! You won't regret it, just you see!

^^ she did it continually when I saw the show. Yes I may have been looking for it, but you can't see what isn't there. Really really poor. Her acting was poor altogether. "Sad" = put tips of fingers together, hunch shoulders and look down at the floor. Very Jason Manford. To quote that famous review "she ran the gamut of emotions from A to B". At least when she was tucking it looked natural. Meow You're no bear, you're a pussy cat!

Whilst I can't speak for the others that've also noticed it (as I'd hate to assume they're like me!) I know that I'm easily distracted by irritants and annoyances of any kind. Squeaks in cars, whistling noses, loud breathing, hair tucking, etc etc etc! I do wonder, and I thought this in the thratre too, do you think it bothered you more because one or two made such a big deal of it here so you were almost expecting/looking out for it? Nah I know me, I would've noticed it anyway! Just like she was constantly pulling her shirt down and I don't recall anyone here mentioned that?!

I've been dealing with a nasty headache for 36 hours straight at this point. Being of the female persuasion sucks so much sometimes. I am now breakfasting on Nurofen Plus and coffee in the hope that my head will sort itself out as I'm going to Brussels today to ogle some dashing Frenchmen on stage. Then off to Norway tomorrow evening to spend a week trapped on a boat with 2000 Germans. Lord give me patience. I hear you. And for what it's worth, you're not on your own x

I love the Eurovision! I'll be fixed to my TV screen all night. Got the fizz, got the nibbles and I've even got my squeeze there too-I've worn her down over the years so it'll be even sweeter this year!

Having seen it, I am genuinely confused with this hair tucking! I was actually expecting it because some on here made such a big deal out of it, but I noticed it once, when she came out of the Looking Glass in her new outfit. But that was it! Whilst I can't speak for the others that've also noticed it (as I'd hate to assume they're like me!) I know that I'm easily distracted by irritants and annoyances of any kind. Squeaks in cars, whistling noses, loud breathing, hair tucking, etc etc etc!

Saw this last night and I really enjoyed it! Not the show of the year, obviously but it was funny, easy and very enjoyable. Kerry Ellis was very irritating with the hair tucking and pulling her shirt down ALL THE TIME (if I didn't know better I'd say it was nerves) and her voice was quite nasal but crystal clear and very very strong, Natalie McQueen was ace - really really well acted and her voice, wow! Wendi Peters blasted it, such a shame she didn't have a bigger role.
Very well behaved audience too!

This is coming back to The Lowry for another week in July so Ive booked. My first ever ballet! Oh Burly, I saw it a few weeks ago and it was mesmerising! The scene where the Shoemaker taunts, tempts and teases Vicky with the Red Shoes in the the 1st act gave me goose bumps! It was simply stunning but the 2nd act ended far too soon. I've already booked to see Cinderella next March, again in Bristol. Hope you like it too x

Nancy Anderson, who unlike La Jones, is not a stand-by but an actual understudy (and so appears in the show's ensemble anyway) She's not been on to my knowledge. She would have been a young Norma. I believe she's only about 44. Glenn hasn't missed any performances as of yet Well, that just adds insult to bloody misery. Grrr! Moving on...

Curiosity often gets the better of me and as I've been following the 'How was your day?' thread, it's struck again. Please tell me what you all do job/career/study/time-wise! And yes I NEED to know, otherwise I might just burst. I'll start-I work for the Police, risk analysis and research (snooze). Over to you... A bizzie!! I didn't do it and I have an alibi Mmm...but why would you even NEED an alibi if you didn't do it, eh eh 🤥 ??!!!

I work for the boys in blue (no not the smurfs) I see that sexism still rules at the Met in the era of Cressida DIck. Mm, not sure what was behind that comment? I certainly didn't take offence at that. Granted, we are surrounded by sexism and it is very much is alive and well but on this occasion I didn't feel that.

Wow thanks guys, I love this! What a diverse group we are, so interesting to read about what takes up most/all of your days. I'm definitely jealous of those of you that are retired but I've only got another 22 years to go...unless the government changes it yet again...so that'll fly by 😱 !
Keep it coming though - my curiosity has not been satiated!
