Are they sticking to the timed entry for this? I've had an email saying I should arrive at 6 for the 7.30pm show which seems a bit early. I do like to be early for the theatre but 90 mins is a bit much!

I stay until the end and as far as I'm concerned, the show starts when the house lights go down so after that there is no talking.

Saw this last night as a last minute replacement for Anything Goes.
Really enjoyed it. First time seeing Charlie Stemp as Bert (went pre-Covid but he was off),and he was absolutely brilliant, such a delight to watch. Sat next to a lovely young couple who'd only been dating for a short time, the woman wasn't sure about musicals beforehand, but had a fantastic night.
We got there just after 7pm and the queue outside the theatre was massive. I overheard one of the security staff telling people just to get their tickets ready, and they would be spot checking the Covid certificates. When we got to the door they just scanned the tickets. The queue did move very quickly. There were a lot of people wearing masks in the foyer and bar area but pretty much everyone removed them when seated in the theatre.

We are coming back to London in Sep for Pretty Woman and Hairspray. Actually have a free night then as booked 3 nights in hotel so hoping we can see Anything Goes.

Managed to get tickets for Mary Poppins, so at least the night isn't wasted. Just keeping everything crossed for Singin in the Rain tomorrow!

On the coach to London, my friend checked her email and saw the news about tonight. Gutted.

I booked to see 42nd Street and was quite looking forward to it but really only booked because it was a classic that I thought I should see.
I was completely blown away and went back 8 more times over the 2 years, if it hadn't closed I'm pretty sure I'd still be going. It just made me so happy at a time when other things in my life were not.

Thanks all for your interesting suggestions, I think we would enjoy all of those. I've booked a champagne afternoon tea at St Pancras but we should be able to do something else beforehand.

I'll be staying near the Barbican on Sat 14 Aug - anyone know of anything to do around there (or a reasonable taxi ride away) during the day?
My companion can't walk far and we've already done the Museum of London.

I nearly got into a tangle with Ticketmaster as I realised I was on my work laptop (tut tut I know) and had no idea what my password was. Luckily the reset email arrived within seconds and worked.
So do we have some kind of secret signal/sign to identify fellow Theatreboarders? 😁

Thanks but I don't have presale with them only LW Apparently if you find the event, put ?did=uktmbc on the end of the TM url that will work? Why don’t they just do a run somewhere?! There’s obviously demand for it. THANK YOU!! That worked, got stalls row J for the Monday. Sooo happy!!

I'm finding it a little frustrating. I've been double-vaccinated. My parents live in France and if I wanted to visit them I'd need to self-isolate for 10 days. Yet they, or anyone else double-vaccinated, could come here from France without self-isolating.

It was so awkward on my phone - the seating plan was too small to navigate easily (the zoom didn't work properly) and the best available didn't give any choice of area. Not impressed!

Gutted. I was trying to get tickets in the stalls but kept giving me royal circle and the seat plan wasn't showing properly on my phone. Now showing as sold out.

Anyone get their presale email? Not yet. Where do I sign up to help keep Jeremy Jordan in the UK when he arrives?

I also liked him the 9 times I saw 42nd Street.
As a huge MB fan, I'd be disappointed if he was off when I'm due to go to Hairspray in Sept, but I'd still enjoy the show and I expect Chris Howell would be good.

It's currently 25 degrees in my living room and thanks to my boyfriend's obsession with tech, the ceiling fan is operated by a Wi-Fi enabled switch which has stopped working and he doesn't know why. I am not impressed!

After you have had two jabs, you can call NHS on their phone number 119, they will post to you a letter, confirming your vaccination status, Snap! 😁
