Still struggling with the concept of rolling up to the theatre at 6pm for a 7.30 show as ATG ask me to do for School of Rock this week. What the actual you-know-what do they expect me to do for 90 minutes? Even if the auditorium was open, which it won’t be until 7.15, I’m still not prepared to do this because I see no rhyme or reason for it. In fact I think it’s dangerous. If this is about forcing people into the bars it is a dreadfully cynical move by ATG or any theatre doing this. The Palace has some reasonably sized public areas, certainly bigger than some theatres but equally nowhere near big enough to accommodate this policy safely. I’ll turn up about 7.15, join a queue in the fresh air outside and be in my seat for 7.25 as has been the case for years. I agree. As far as I'm aware, ATG haven't enforced the arrival times at any theatres I've been to (Bristol Hippodrome and Savoy). I was given 6pm for Pretty Woman at the Savoy and turned up just after 7 with no issues.

Just had an email regarding a reduction in performances from next week. I'd only just booked a ticket for a performance at the end of January under the offer they were running, now they have decided to cancel Monday evening and Thursday matinees from next week until beginning of Feb so there goes my ticket! Same here - booked a Thursday matinee only a few days ago

Bit of a panic just now as had an e mail from Ticketmaster and the title was Bonnie & Clyde in Concert. Panic over as the e mail was just asking me if I was still going and if not I could sell my ticket on their website. Phew! I had the email and the same moment of panic!

Part of me really wants to go. Another part of me really wants to get as far away as possible. That's pretty much what I said!

I’ve also read the book by Don Black - The Sanest Guy in the Room. I had completely forgotten that he had written the lyrics for Billy The Musical which is one of my favourite shows. One of the best and most interesting books I have read this year. Highly recommended. If anyone gets the chance to see him live, I would highly recommend it. Warm, interesting and very funny, an absolute delight to listen to him.

I enjoyed it on the whole, but the emotion was way OTT for me. I wanted glittery escapism and upbeat numbers, both of which were missing tonight with the exception of the group dance.

Can someone tell me how it works as I've just discovered that as a Virgin customer I can get o2 benefits. I've downloaded the app but that's as far as I've gone You log into the app using your Virgin login and it should take you through the setup process. I've just done it and it was quite straightforward.

Line the dates up for what's happening on the following two days...I'd argue there's two people yet to be announced (or who might just be surprise guests) I was wondering if it was worth going for that reason. I might go anyway as I really like JOJ

I knew very little about this, other than hearing "You Will Be Found" a couple of times. I really enjoyed it. I had a lot of sympathy with Evan, and as I have a difficult relationship with my brother, some of the things Zoe said resonated with me. My front row seat was great, other than the very bright light which was occasionally dazzling. Was fab to see everyone up close, I felt the emotion from all the characters, Evan in particular, thought Sam Tutty was brilliant. My only disappointment was that Rupert Young wasn't performing as I have a huge crush on him!

Got myself to London for a short break. Now enjoying a Kir Royale and dinner before Dear Evan Hansen. It's nice being by myself and people-watching!

My regular theatre buddy is a retired TV sound engineer and worked with loads of people. Lionel Blair is very high on her "lovely to work with" list.

Call me shallow, but I'm completely in lust with Adam Peaty and am most disappointed he's wearing more clothes this week.

I saw it back in Aug as a last minute replacement for Anything Goes when that was cancelled and it was superb, Charlie Stemp looked like he was having the time of his life.

Loved this afternoon, great fun and the dancing was superb. Why oh why do people still chat during the overture though, the music is great!

I'm staying close by and would have liked to go, but there's no way my 74 year old theatre buddy could stand for more than a few minutes, let alone a few hours. We would happily have paid for somewhere to sit.

Got there about 6.30 in the end, still early but we were having tea at the Savoy first so wandered over to the theatre when we'd finished.
The show was meh. Very talented cast and some funny moments, but overall wasn't impressed. Enjoyed Beauty and the Beast much more last night.

I went last night and was impressed, thought it was a fun show and the effects were great. Be Our Guest was particularly good.
