I saw Kevin cover the second time I went to see it in London. I loved him. Yes I went really for Ryan. I was lucky after 6 shows I saw 5 main roles covered and all 3 Angels. Kevin was also absolutely lovely to meet. I saw him do both his covers. Someone who I need to see in his future shows he does.

Aside everything that happened in central London which I didn't even know about until the interval. Aside all that which was terrible and shocking.
This is long...
Yesterday I started my morning with worry that the company I work for has the area manager come around to do a store assessment. He is there all the time but it's an official thing with the company. Usually when he turns up it's meeting with the manager then starts quizzing us about targets & products. The problem is we have just come out of 4 month retail stressful period everyone is over the place. I came back off my holiday Monday to find he was going his visit on Wednesday morning. It was like - Oh God!!
I wasn't entirely with it yesterday as well because (I go to Les Mis a lot) I like to see certain cast who are mostly swings play all the characters they cover. Well if you go Les Mis probably know Adam Bayjou is the first cover Jean Valjean. I absolutley love him in the role but I am also a fan of Oliver Brenin who this cast year became the second cover. Now I'm not sure what the rules actually are now about them saying about covering & holidays. But I think its got muddled now. Well I was waiting for Adam to be on holiday again and if I didn't have a ticket, take a risk and buy Weds matinee (his contracted cover show). It would be very short notice. On Sunday he posted on his Instagram about arriving in New York. So I got a ticket for yesterday on my lunch break at work Monday.
Then I thought Oli might not actually get to be Valjean if Adam could be back before the end of the week and just arrange with Simon Gleeson to do his show on Friday or Saturday. Only think that because something akin to that happened back in January but with Simon. So that whole morning I spend not trying to be excited about Oli being on just in case he wasn't actually going to be on.
Well the area manager didn't turn up while I was working. It got later and later then found out 30mins before I was leaving he only just turned up in one of your shops near by.
Then I left work got to about 200 metres of the box office and was told Oli was going to be going the show as Valjean. I just got really happy & excited I couldn't even eat anything before seeing the show. I have now seen both his Jean Valjean shows. I really hope he is staying for another year.
That was my day yesterday.

He must still be doing the same thing he was doing in New York then. Also him and Simon talk a lot of their lines that are usually sung. It makes it to me seem like they are in a completely different version of the show to the rest of the cast.

I know what you mean about Hayden. Honestly I can't wait for Jeremy to return. I'm not much of a fan of Simon as Valjean either to be honest. But god I love watching Bayjou as Valjean. Great minds think alike Carrie! On a serious note I'm glad it wasn't just me. I did worry that I was just being over-picky based on seeing the show a few too many times...I'm sure you can empathise!! Completely, to be honest I was starting to think I was the only one. But there are a few of us who think the same thing. I saw Lee do Javert a couple of times he's great. I am really hoping that cast change he stays and becomes a 1st cover esp if Pearce appears to be leaving. He hasn't got the most powerful voice but it's something given the chance would develope I beleive.

Does The Park do dayseats? Hoping to catch the show tomorrow afternoon, just wondering if there's any discount available? Cheers It says they do if it's sold out but online... if you're going to the matinee its the show thats least sold. Not sure about discounts. Don't miss it though it's brill. Been 4 times and have the last 2 shows to go to.

I wrote a long reply and my phone refreshed the page instead and lost it 😕. I had a question what is fake corpsing? Corpsing is unintentionally laughing while in character, hence breaking character. I remember seeing Brian Conley corpsing in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the conversation with the turkey farmer after Me Ol' Bamboo. I'm assuming it was fake after seeing his many other TV and panto appearances. Likewise with Joe Pasquale and Russ Abbot in The Producers after the 'If I could bottle you, I'd shove you under my armpits every day' line. I didn't mind it that much in One Man Two Guvnors, even when I saw it the second time. But I also remember seeing Spamalot where the Knights Who Say 'Ni' improvise a bit for the actor playing King Arthur to repeat, again I thought it works and it probably was a genuine corpse from King Arthur (Matthew Kelly at the time). Ohhhh I knew what corpsing was I just didn't get what was meant by fake corpsing. When I'm at Les Mis (a lot) I know ever track what happens & what goes wrong. There some esp ensemble where they do something different each time and very entertaining to watch. I remember one time one of the swings playing Babet walked into the scene he plays it very cocky. Then as he goes to pose the cane slips on the stage and falls to the ground. I looked at him (I was in their slip seats) see what he did. He styled it out then there is a point the character turns away but if you were in row of slip seats you basically saw him laugh. It wouldnt have been seen from stalls though. Then on Wednesday, another swing covering apart with the other. Master of the House is very ensemble joyful bit in the show. Anyway he was meant to arm wrestle the other swing so Thenardier can nick his money out his back pocket. He kind of forgot to do that. So you have Thenardier nicking stuff that maybe he is fully aware of. But becuase of the scene itself the pair laughed. I saw Toxic Avenger twice it never happened in the first one but I actually cant remember his nam. Anyway the show is funny at one point the audience laughed the actor just started to laugh. So we are now laughig at him laughing. He was trying to compose himself but kept giggling. It eventually stopped. I wouldnt have thought it was something repeated in future shows because he took so long to compose himself.

Speaking of intervals did anyone ever see Oresteia at Trafalgar Studios? I know it was the aesthetic of the show but all intervals should be like that. Timed with the clock ticking down. When it hits zero the next act starts. It was impressive how smoothly it worked as well, I don't remember any post-interval latecomers when I saw it. No latecomers but a few who just hung around to the last second to sit or didn't take notice of the usher telling them when it was going to start again. Ending in a some what blind panic as the theatre went suddenly dark. It was brilliant to watch to be honest.

If theatres don't want us to eat anything smelly or noisy, then they should stop letting people take wine or drinks with ice-cubes into the auditorium. And let's not get started on theatres that sell crisps and sweets in crinkly bags... I posted up before about it. I sat next to a rather annoying man at a musical who kept reponding to everything from the start with a cheer or yelp. He had a glass with ice in. Proceeded to chew on this ice. I think one must have gone down the wrong way as at one point he started to choke. Which to be honest, I chuckled at. He still carried on chewing the ice though. Queen's theatre has very noisy bottles which unless I'm in a rush to get there from work always buy bottle of water before hand. I have had to buy it before but I make sure I open the bottle before the show starts. Then if I need water I open it during the claps.

DEFINITELY. This is the only spelling of the word. Not 'definately', 'defanately', 'defiantly' or anything else for that matter. I am 33 years old I still have no idea how to spell that word. Even when I google it I look at it and think that's not how sounds in my head. I've had to remember its synonyms to look up the correct spelling. Someone mentioned you're & your. It takes me a good 30 seconds to figure out which one I need to use. I don't know about anyone else. But actually when you say about I said out loud a few time I pronounce it "definately" not "definitely". I get sometimes the words definite & defiant muddled up I think because the way I'm pronouncing it.

The "should have should of" really doesn't bother me. I'm from south east London everyone says should of. They might not write it like that but they say it. On the subject of grammer itself, I find it difficult, I find it difficult to read and how to structure sentances. For me those little things just don't bother me. The same goes with "gotten" I have written that many times. We say it like that in SE London. But once you're told about it, it really isn't that difficult to grasp, is it? But there are some people who can't, who find language difficult to understand and then change - like myself. Which is why those little things really don't bother me. A friend of mine who writes injoy rather than enjoy because she says injoy. I say and write gotten. Big deal. I'm 33 years old I have got more important things to worry about in my future than battling correct usage of words and grammer. Actually this is the problem with English language it's far too complex. I struggle a great deal with pronouncing words as well. There are words to look at I know what they mean but can't say them. It's very frustrating. I have a slightly unusal accent because of how I have learnt how to say certain words. I have known people from all over the country & world who I have asked to repeat words over and over again so I remember them then picked up their accent. Even now I see a word sometimes, then ask someone how to pronounce it - it in no way sounded anything like what I tried to pronounce in my head. Then I have the other side where I know how to pronounce it but not how to spell it. It's trouble when trying to learn words in other languages. I go to see Les Miz (a lot) I have to ask the actors at stage door how to pronounce their characters. It took me ages to correctly pronounce Montparnasse they say it in the show. But I still can't say Claquesous I can spell it but I can't say it though. I often get told I write how I speak. It has taken me 50 or so minutes to actually write this. That is how difficult it to even write some times.

I've been various venues for shows and from what I can remember all but one I had to show my ticket. It was at Playhouse when I saw Rocky HPS. Walked right in to my seat without them checking. Saying that I don't know how much some ushers actually check tickets as I've said before Young Vic let someone in for evening show when it was a matinee ticket they had (sat in my seat).

I loved it. I have a few films I know that are plays or musicals (or maybe one day adapted) that I want to see on stage. This was the third I've seen. I was a little unsure of it being an all male production after while I got used to the guys playing women albeit it a touch camp. The dance works very well in this production it blends from the start using dance for violence then later dance/movement is apart of the dream parts.
Jonno Davies was fantastic as Alex. The cast were all great I esp liked Sebastian Charles as well. Clockwork Orange is one of those book/film/play that you either love it or you dont. Its always difficult to become aware you feel sorry for Alex later on after all the brain washing. It's one of those things tugs on my ethical & moral compass. Jonno def did that. He was terrifying at the start and psychoic then later on you just want to go up and hug him esp when he goes back home to find his parents have aquired a lodger (Sebastian Charles) who is equally psychoic.
This is a physical production its nots going to appeal to everyone. For me I loved it.
I waited after the show to see if I could meet the cast. I managed to catch Jonno & Sebastian. They were lovely.

Does anyone know when cast change is this year? I'm guessing 10th or 17th June but I'm worried I'll book the wrong day or leave it too late for a good seat. One of the cast told someone I know from the Les Mis fandom that its the 10th. However I booked for both the 10th & 17th. But Im betting on it being 10th only because it makes its a full year contact for most of the cast.

Because the musical will be a new show I wonder if they will pick from the boys that are there now, who will be covers for the final 5. Because obviously they will have covers for the show.

They will have been put together with a winning band already in mind long before the live shows. The chosen ones will be subtly favoured with song choices, routines etc and only an accident like the one that got Jodie Prenger her win will change the desired outcome. Agree about being put together in groups was very much pre planned. Although Graham Norton did say that it was a random draw selection. Yeah right!!!! Group 1 for me and end choice group 5 You know as much as I love Alexis in it seen him on stage. I guess the choice now is as a group rather than an individual? So I thought the same thing group 1 and group 5. Bet we can lay money on (if its groups) it will be between 1 & 5.

I thought his body type and demeanour was more masculine than I would expect from Angel. He doesn't have the kind of feminine grace I've seen in other interpretations, for example original broadway cast. He is a swing and has to cover 3 male ensemble tracks as well as being 2nd cover Mark. He has to fit the other characters as well. He is the 2nd cover Angel. Jordan who is 1st cover is recovering from injury but able to be in the show.

I had two chatty girls right behind me in second row of RENT last night. All through the thing chatting away. The interval was just too short apparently for them to chat about the show.
