There wasn’t much choice of seats in the pre sale either!

Haven’t heard anything. Shame Gavin is not doing Cardiff - I was looking forward to seeing him! What’s he up to instead? I know it’s a shame he is missing the entire run at Cardiff. This is from his instagram - https://www.instagram.com/p/CWz5N_GKBRf Thanks h86 - maybe I’ll catch Gavin another time. Am hoping Alyn is still the Beast for the Cardiff run - especially as he’s a Welsh man!

A wonderful evening. Emma Williams was breathtakingly good - I’d forgotten just how good she is. And Michael Xavier perfect too. Supporting cast all excellent. Loved it - having not seen it first time around. And I had a lovely chat to TallPaul sitting next to me too!

I’m going later on in the week and am looking forward to seeing White Christmas for the first time. A feel good show is just what I need right now!

Gavin Lee was interviewed this evening on Instagram and confirmed that he is missing the entire Cardiff run of Beauty. Bit of a shame for those who expected him to be there. Nothing official from Beauty musical on this as far as I can see. Oh no! I was particularly looking forward to seeing Gavin!

Mayflower Theatre tweeted this “Further exciting casting information will be revealed at a later date where the extra special performer confirmed to play the Narrator will be announced… 👀✨🌈” Is it too early to get excited that it sounds like Linzi?? I’m praying it’s Linzi and that I can introduce the young uns of the family to such a quality performance (and have the excuse to go more than once myself!).

Thanks Paul26 - sounds like a great production and well worth seeing. Rosemary Ashe is always great and I can well imagine she shines in this. Will have to try to get to a Sunday performance if I can, and come up for the day. Have to work out tube logistics from Paddington, but am sure it can be done! Thanks for all the info.

Anyone seen Call Me Madam yet? Also, is it unreserved seating at this venue?

How easy is it to get to this venue & what’s the capacity? Tempted by this but not sure if it’s too far out...

I am never going to get bored of Linzi singing that score so brilliantly. So glad I was able to catch another of her shows in this run. Just booked another show this time to see Alexandra! So that’s 3 more Joseph shows booked now! Aug 28th eve (Linzi) Aug 30th matinee (Alexandra) and 4th Sept matinee (Linzi). Some would say that’s crazy, to those people I would say after the past 18 months I’ve found sheer unadulterated delight in a 2 hour show and I think I want some of that! If it gives you pleasure, go for it - that’s what I say! I’m tempted to see another Linzi show myself!

Now there's a name from the past! What's Matt up to nowadays? Seems to have disappeared from West End, like Vivienne Carlyle and loads of others who are everywhere then vanish. I know! Saw Matt in lots of shows (Martin Guerre, Evita, Pippin, Aspects on tour) but haven’t seen him in a long time now.

Ok. Wow. WOW! I was expecting her to be good but this was on another level! For those who don’t know, I never got to see the 1991 production and having grown up listening to the soundtrack and then watching Linzi in other things, it’s always been the one thing I wished I’d seen, like if the Doctor had picked me up in his Tardis and asked me where I want to go, I’d have said palladium june 1991. From the moment the curtain lifted and everyone went mad for her, the atmosphere was electric. She absolutly stole the show. She was in almost every scene, and even when she wasn’t singing she was doing something. Her vocals were amazing. Yes, some keys were lowered, but it’s 30 years later and she still sounded like the recording for the most part. She also did the original key in ‘chained and bound’ and absolutely smashed it! She’s naturally funny, her facial expressions were brilliant! Her dancing was ace aswell, loved her lil tap number! She had such a prescence, it was like she was controlling the whole thing. It was such a special day! I’ll never forget it! I’m absolutely shattered now but so so so happy! She really is a special talent, and a lovely and gracious woman. Amen to that Roxie! Yesterday afternoon was so special for me too and I’ll never forget it! I really hope Linzi does the tour - I want to take my nephews but don’t really want to see anyone else as the Narrator ever again now!!

What an amazing afternoon, I’ll never forget it. First show back - and what a performance from Linzi. Wish I could do it all over again tonight! The joy and love for her from the audience was palpable. Wonderful!

It’s finally here folks. After all the ups and downs and stresses of getting tickets, it’s Linzi Hateley as the narrator day. Hopefully we have got good weather and so to those of us who are attending either one or both of her shows today, have a great day and hopefully we might bump into each other at some point. I’m awake and about to get up & go for my early train. First show back for me so doubly excited and can’t wait to see Linzi. It’s gonna be emotional folks! Hope I get to say hi to some of you.

Any Sheffield Theatre members with priority booking who can tell us pricing? £15, £22, £32 and £40. Thanks from me too. Reasonable pricing which is good considering the distance I’ll have to travel!

Anyone know if the standard DVD (not the blu-ray version) is multi region or Region 1 only? Very strange it doesn’t seem to be available from UK sellers. Desperate to see it and own a copy!!

wow that's early! 2:15 for me Where are people getting the entry times from? My e mail doesn't give any times and just says e ticket will be sent nearer the time. Mind you I quite like getting there early as I'm always worried about delays en route and quite like to sit there reading the programme and people watching. It came up as I was booking and is on the confirmation email - but as I rebooked it could be different for those who were reseated...

It’s a Theatre Board takeover of the Palladium on the 17th. Brilliant. Maybe get a meet up arranged now things are clearer? Sounds great although apparently I’m expected to be seated by 1.45 prior to a 2.30 start. Hope there’s some good reading in the programme!
