Could it be the international tour coming home?

My favourite Elle is Susan McFadden. Sheridan might have been slightly funnier, but she is a much better and stronger singer. Too bad that she's become a full-time member of Celtic Woman and doesn't do any theatre anymore.
2nd place would be Lucie Jones, and on the 3rd it's Barbara Obermeier (whom I've seen in the German language production in Vienna).

Good to know, so I'll just wait patiently until they get back to me. Not that waiting patiently is one of my strong suits though. Sounds as if they are processing every seat manually... Just hope that my new seat won't be too crappy.
When booking tickets, I always choose box office collection (or Will Call, as it's called in the US). Don't like having an eTicket printed on a sheet of paper. Really prefer having a proper ticket.

Booked a ticket to see this in December. As I wasn't willing to pay the enormous prices they were quoting, I opted for a cheap-ish $59 ticket (still $72 including fees) up in the Balcony.
Ten days ago, I got an eMail from Telecharge that they are moving theatres from the Belasco to the Music Box Theatre, that my ticket will be transferred automatically and that they'll get back to me shortly. However, as I haven't heard back from them yet, I was wondering if anyone of you is affected by this as well and if their ticket has already been transferred successfully. As the Music Box Theatre has only two levels, I guess I'll end up at the back of the Mezzanine.

You can sign up to a mailing list on their website. I am already signed up - I recently got a mail from them that Jest End will return this winter. But I'm pretty sure that I never got a mail announcing that [title of show] will be playing there.

I've seen [title of show] at the Landor a few years ago and absolutely loved it - what a little gem of a show. They also had an incredible cast: Simon Bailey, Scott Garnham, Sarah Galbraith and Sophia Ragavelas.
Agree with Mallardo. They seem to be promoting their shows really badly. Had I known this, I'd have gone.

Finally, please look at The Phantom of the Opera. Ever wondered why there hasn't been another cast recording? It's in Michael Crawford, Hal Prince, Sarah Brightman and a host of other people's contracts that an English language album of the show cannot be produced without their consent. Well, why don't they just give consent? They're so mean! That'll be because they earn very healthy royalties on every single cast recording ever sold. Enough for Crawford to essentially retire on. Any deal they signed would still involve paying them - even if they aren't on the cast recording. Then how did they manage to release the English language 25th anniversary live recording?

Michael, just caught up with your saga. This is, you realise, the basis for a play. Get writing. Well, by the end, I was in cold sweat as I had a flight to catch. I was sat in the first row directly behind the driver and, whenever he did the opposite of what his satnav told him, I was going like arghhh and mumbled to myself "for crying out loud, it said take the second exit from the roundabout, not the third". Heck, he was even ignoring the traffic signs that said Leighton Buzzard et. al. I made my flight in the end, but it'd have been less nerve-wracking and most likely even faster had I taken a train from Milton Keynes to Birmingham and then another train from there to London (assuming they weren't affected from the track closure).

Of course there's probably still work to be done, but I think the score has potential. Admittedly, one can argue about the score. If you like a ballad-heavy score, you might actually enjoy it, but I didnt't and found it awful. Most of the songs are slow-tempo ballads that all sound same-y and are repeated and reprised way too often. There are a few okay-ish tunes, but most of them aren't theatre material. The only good-ish number is the women's act 2 opening number (but the entire number was completely out of place). The book, however, is a mess and needs a complete rewrite. As someone on BWW has suggested, have the story focus on Meg instead of Gideon as she's a much better and more interesting character. Better carve out the motivations of everyone to build the ship. Make Gideon more likeable. And lastly, and most importantly, close all the huge plot holes. And by huge I mean Donald Trump's wall huge. Again, taken from BWW:

Well, neither you nor I are paid for acting and/or singing, but they are, so I think it's perfectly fine to criticise them if you didn't like their performance.
(Just for the record: I can't sing, act or dance - let alone remember even the tiniest bit of a choreography)

Apparently they sent a note out saying all recordings made by fans at the 10th will be destroyed. Could this mean they're doing a live recording? I mean surely if a fan just recorded audio, how would they know? Mostly, it's fairly obvious and even I notice when my seat neighbours record the show, as they just keep their smartphone on their lap, on top of their handbag or backpack or put it in their shirt pocket.

Not exactly train company, but somehow related:
Back in August 2014, I stayed a weekend in Milton Keynes to see the Rock of Ages UK tour. My hotel was in the MK Dons stadium, roughly half-way between Bletchley and Milton Keynes, so I took a London Midlands train from London Euston to Bletchley on Friday. However, the service was shut down on Saturday and Sunday because of track works and rail replacement buses were operating. Luckily, I had booked an afternoon flight from Heathrow - had I known this before, I'd have booked my flights to and from Birmingham instead.
On Sunday morning, I got relatively early to Bletchley station, but no rail replacement buses were to be seen. The first bus arrived with a 20min delay (Bletchley is only the second stop on the bus' route), and a girl and I boarded the empty bus. The driver, however, was completely clueless and had no knowledge of the place. He had his satnav set to the next stop - Leighton Buzzard - but constantly ignored its instructions (he took wrong exits from several roundabouts, turned wrong, ended in roads too small for such a big bus and eventually had to reverse and turn back). Finally, we made it to Leighton Buzzard station (after asking several pedestrians the way) with a one hour delay. Still no additional passengers to board the bus, and the girl and I could finally convince the bus driver to skip all the other stations and drive directly to Stanmore tube station - we were really afraid we'd never make it. Well, almost, as we "settled" for Hemel Hempstead, where we got with a 20min delay. From there, we followed another bus and finally got to Stanmore, where I boarded the tube to Heathrow and still got my flight.

May I start a spin-off thread entitled "Bad Behaviour by Train Companies Before a Show"? For when one doesn't even get as far as a theatre to experience bad audience behaviour because your train journey has been so royally screwed up. I am about to miss the first act of the only performance being given of an extremely obscure opera thanks to Great Northern. Incandescent with rage. Go on, but shouldn't Southern be explictly mentioned in the title?

Cynthia Erivo - she said it herself. She makes Geri Halliwell sound good. You sure you don't have misunderstood my post?

So basically, you're a renowned actor with quite a few shows under your belt if you have that many followers. Why on earth should they go to such an audition?

This is just one person's opinion. I've read lots of opinions from people who absolutely loved it. Sure. It was just me. Just a few quotes from the show's review thread on BWW.

This is just one person's opinion. Who, opposed to you, has actually seen the show. I've read lots of opinions from people who absolutely loved it. And that's why it had such a long and successful run on Broadway. If Sting's name hadn't been attached to this show, it'd have never seen the light of day.

Saw both shows last Saturday, but I was terribly busy in the last days, so I didn't manage to write my thoughts down until now.
As I've bought the cast recording several days ago and listened to it quite a few times before seeing the show, I was already familiar with it and knew I'd enjoy the songs. All very catchy, and my favourites are The Same Old Music and I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing. However, seeing the show live really helped putting the songs into context, as the cast recording left me somewhat clueless.
What a great and talented cast it is, these three ladies are all hugely talented. As much as I like Ashleigh Gray (it was so great seeing her on stage again after her last Wicked show in Bradford - and I didn't even know how hot she looked with short hair), my favourite of the three was actually Lizzy Connolly. She's hilarious and has such a great comic talent and timing. Anyone knows what she's up to next? I really think she'd be an amazing Glinda.
However, I thought the show lacked in pace - the set and especially costume changes took ages - and was slightly too long. And I was also disappointed by the band - I'd have expected a bit more oomph.
I was also disappointed to see that there was a noticeable number of empty seats both times, so I doubt there'll be a transfer.
All in all, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.

At least they got a proper Jasmine (coincidentally, Broadway's Aladdin's sister), and Michael James Scott isn't a bad Genie either (seen him on Broadway when he was the standby).
