I was D4 and my daughter D5! Ah, right next to me. I was the guy to your daughter's left wit the glasses and moustache I recognise you now. Would have said Hello. Because of my user name I suppose everyone expects me to be a woman. Wonder whether I ought to change it?

Phantom. Held off seeing it for years but finally weakened to appease a friend. I was bored and there was no chemistry between the leads.
Kismet at the ENO. Dreadful, messy and dull.

Saw this tonight for the first time with Cassidy J. I adored Katie Braben (who I saw 4 times) but have to say I prefer CJ. Very few empty seats. Lorna Want still (almost) steals every scene she is in.

Did anyone else catch this in the 90s in town? I loved it. It was the first West End show both my kids saw. Can't wait for the revival at St James. Wonder who will be in the cast??

Was there tonight too and Steve's post nails it. Have to say that I've adored SS every time I've seen her in FG but removing her does equal out the performances. Thought Natasha held her own with Marilyn, Darius, Joel and the rest of the ensemble who really shone tonight. Also understood what Shenton said about the flashes of a young MsStaunton and heard that incredible warmth and timbre that Garland had. Disappointed there was no acknowledgement off the entire cast and specifically SS's contribution throughout the run. Hope all the troubles are ironed out before Savoy.

In over 40 years of theatregoing I have rarely found myself unable to find the good in everything I see. Until I saw this.

Have no intention of changing my booking for closing night. Can't wait to see Natasha to compare and contrast their performances. Shenton's praise was glowing so I have very high hopes. The atmosphere will be electric. I loved Sheridan's performance too.

Front row of Cleansed last night. The chap next to me crunched his way through a family sized sack of peanut M&Ms. Loudly!

Completely understandable that she needs to be with her Dad. I have tickets for Saturday's closing night performance but wouldn't think of causing a stink. So, we get to see an understudy. Hardly the end of the world.

Spotlight should win best picture. And I preferred Bryan Cranston to Di Caprio.

Quite simple but the projections of George in Sunday In the Park at the Menier was effective.

School trip to see Othello. Timothy West, Alison Steadman and Daniel Massey. Hated it as I was far too young to "get" it. Would kill to see it now!! Oh the folly of youth!

I'm in row G too this afternoon!!!! LOL Ah only just read this, which seat were you in? This is why we need badges! What did you think? Badges? Mine would say "Theatre OCD on board. Loves an interval." What would yours say?

So glad I ignored the poor reviews. Saw it yesterday with 9 friends and everyone loved it.
It was much less shocking than I'd expected. And not so many laugh out loud moments.
It flew by and the pace didn't flag for a moment.
We were on 2nd row stalls (AZ) and I'd recommend siting as close to the stage as possible.

Listening to it now. Better at the Menier!!! No seriously this is truly wonderful, Cynthia's voice is giving me goosebumps. I was so lucky to see it many times when it was at the Chocolate Factory and watching peoples reaction it it. It is wonderful. Saw it twice at MCF and have heard CE sing it a few times in concerts. She always sounded so much better when singing it in context. This really comes across on the cd. Pleasantly surprised by Danielle Brooks enemy though Sophia Nomvete could never be bettered!

If you pre-ordered from Amazon, they'll always charge you the lowest price it's been before release date. I also suspect this topic will be glued to the cast recording topic in a bit! By the looks of things it just means they've now sold out of the copies they had coming in? Have you not had any dispatch confirmation emails? Just shown as 19 Feb guaranteed delivery. Until this morning when it changed to no stock! Listened to download and it is sublime!

Supposed to be available from today. Ordered from Amazon over a month ago but suddenly this morning showing no delivery date. Price hiked to almost £17! Feeling ripped off. Downloaded from iTunes instead. Anyone else had better luck?

Strange that .com has full product description and track listing but .co.uk has no details. It was the same for The Color Purple cd.

There was a thread about this. We might have left it behind. I think you might be in the minority on this one. It won't be the first time Lynette! I often find that when I see something with low or no expectations, I am pleasantly surprised. Hadn't even read the reviews (which seem positive). It reminded me of Shaw, Priestley and Wilde in equal measure. **And of course it should have read Olivia not Okivia!

Couldn't see a thread about this. Amazed as it is a stunning production of a lost masterpiece (imho) with flawless performances, especially from Charles Edwards, Sylvestra Le Touzel and Okivia Williams. Can't believe I almost missed this completely. Thank heavens for Friday Rush. Pity to see the house only 80% full.
