I wouldn't particularly describe myself as a Sheridan fan, but I've loved her in everything I've seen her in: Flare Path, Hedda Gabler, Inside No. 9, and now Funny Girl. I haven't sought out things to watch purely based on her presence (I've no interest in seeing the TV show about the lady with cancer, for instance) but she strikes me as a versatile and talented performer.

Even if confused at the start, surely anyone would have an "aaaaaah now I SEE" moment when the body goes back down Into the pool at the end? Surely? I didn't, I have to admit. I still don't know what the point of the body was. It seemed totally unnecessary to me.

No, Worcester Sauce is the best Walkers flavour! Yes. They are nice. Did you ever try Worcester Sauce Twiglets? They were lovely. I didn't, but I'm not really a fan of Twiglets! They taste a bit too much like... twigs.

I will keep an eye out. Of course, the Holy Grail of Walkers crisps are Ketchup flavour and Pickled Onion flavour. No, Worcester Sauce is the best Walkers flavour!

Finally saw this at the KC theatre after originally watching at the Southwark Playhouse. Loved it - fantastic performances. Only exception was Lily Frazer as Nina. Thought she was awful - couldn't hold a tune. Is she recovering from laryngitis or something? If so I could be more sympathetic. I know I sound really mean and I don't say this lightly but honestly I found her quite painful to listen to. It really stood out as well because everyone else was so good.

I've never seen it, which is a shame as I Know Him So Well was one of the first musical theatre songs on my radar (Steps covered it when I was a teen :-D)

I was going to try and nab a ticket for this, but if the text has been rewritten so much I'm not sure I'll bother.

I was there this evening, I loved it, so funny and such a talented cast especially the two blokes who seemed to be playing different characters in every scene.
David Bryan was in tonight too, which was exciting!

I saw the first ten or so (bar one which wasn't working) then gave up and went home because I was tired and cold! I'm sure they will end up on the Globe Player - like someone else mentioned they probably didn't want to mention anything before the weekend but their responses on Facebook to people who asked about it were along the lines of, "Keep an eye on our social media updates" - I'm sure if there were no plans to put the films online they would have just said so.
Of the films I saw, the highlight was Romeo and Juliet - Jessie Buckley was wonderful. R&J isn't my favourite play but I'd certainly book to see it if she was in it.

I see a lot of am-dram shows all over London, mainly because they're a great chance to see rarely-performed shows by playwrights and composers I like: I've seen By Jeeves, The Likes of Us, and several of the more obscure Noel Cowards this way. I'm generally very impressed by the standard - in five years of theatregoing I've only seen one show that was out-and-out dreadful; a few of them were variable but most were very good. The lead actors at least are usually excellent.

I've had the same issue - it's been near sold out for the last month, and I've also had no luck with the lottery. I'm surprised it's been so popular to be honest - Winter's Tale I expected to be in high demand, but not this. Sadly it doesn't seem to be available as an NT Live cinema screening either.

Loved this last night. Like badoerfan I didn't know what to expect but I thought Sheridan was fantastic. The atmosphere was electric.

I wish they'd come up with a name that could have lasted for the duration. The "Temporary Theatre" doesn't have quite the same ring to it...

Wasn't much into the Spice Girls BUT sat very near Mel C at a "Superstar" recording. Now, if she did panto, I'm there and drooling in the front row ('m assuming that is the "drool" emoji!). Mel C is pretty awesome! She's definitely the best singer of the lot - never got to see the Spice Girls live unfortunately, but I did get to see Mel C do a solo show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire a couple of years ago, and she was great.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd love to see Mel B in a panto! Was a huge Spice Girls fan as a child.

Saw this last night and loved it. Glenn Close was amazing, her voice wasn't 100% but as others have mentioned it really suited the character. She really owned the stage whenever she was on. Michael Xavier and Siobhan Dillon were fantastic too. It was my first time seeing the show, and I didn't know any of the songs, but I loved it, and it sounded amazing with the full orchestra. I didn't care about the lack of a full set - the minimal look worked, and I LOVED the "cars". Only bit I didn't like was the dummy of Joe hanging over the stage - genuinely couldn't see the point at all. I didn't mind the young Norma so much, I thought her appearances made sense.
I was in seat A6 in the balcony which was an absolute bargain, £12 for a great view - only the bottom right corner blocked, which barely made any difference, and the safety rail which I found easy to look past.
Hung around at the stage door afterwards, after about half an hour Glenn came out, she signed several programmes and posters before getting into her car. Michael Xavier also came out and is even more attractive in person than on stage (I know I'm very late to this particular party!).

I've seen them all. I enjoyed both Thriller and Stomp for what they are although I agree that it would be better to get some new stuff in...

By the way has anyone seen it in the past couple of days? I think Emma Williams' understudy has been on. Not sure when Emma is back.
I saw it on Friday for the first time. Rhiannon Chesterman was on as Maureen. I thought she was good but when I got home I watched the Olivier performance on YouTube and I thought Emma was much better.

Off to see this tonight. Not a major fan of GC, like ALW but have never seen or heard Sunset Boulevard before, so no idea whether I'll enjoy it or not, but I'm quite excited!

I've seen a few things at this theatre, all of a really high standard - has to be, to take me all the way from Ealing to Hornchurch!

Very excited by The Nose! It was the first opera I ever saw, ten years ago in St Petersburg, and it remains one of the strangest things I've ever seen on stage.
Shame it's in English translation though :-(

Adding my voice to the Book of Mormon - do not understand the obsession with this show at all. Interested that with all the discussion of sexism, Grease hadn't come up. Am I the only person that thinks Grease is one of the most sexist shows to exist? Not even sure if sexist is the right word - it just gives such a bad message to women, it shocks me that schools still put it on! I hate Grease for this very reason - the ending where the main female character just changes her entire personality to get a man - urgh. It's a shame, as I actually quite like some of the music, and if it wasn't for the ending I might really like the show. Having said that, I've only seen bits of the film - I might feel differently if I watched it properly or saw a stage production.

I normally have a self-imposed rule about not listening to cast recordings before the show. I broke this rule for Hamilton because of all the hype surrounding it. For me, it lives up to the hype - I'm not a fan of hip-hop but I love the music and can't stop listening to it. I had no prior knowledge of or interest in American history before listening to the recording - but I had no trouble following the story. Still, I've added the Ron Chernow bio to my wishlist because I want to learn more.
Hamilton reminds me of Les Mis - both are big epic shows with a vast cast of characters (although Hamilton uses real historical characters rather than fictional ones like LM). I find the soundtrack very emotional and moving in parts - I can only imagine how much of an impact it makes on the stage. I can't wait until it comes to London.

My guess is their website is crashing. When you call the number you get various degrees of "sorry but we're having lots of problems, call back in a couple of hours" type messages. I'm not bothering chasing it. I was only going for a cheap ticket so no real loss. Thanks! At least it's not just me... my concern re the cheap tickets though is that they will all sell out!

Trying to book but payment not going through. Grrr. Anyone know what this means?
"there was a problem while taking your payment as the card authorisation service provider did not respond in the expected manner."

Tailor Made Man had some pretty glaring flaws but some really nice songs, and the subject matter was incredibly important and interesting. It's such a shame that there doesn't seem to be any interest in revisiting it or reviving it because there was a great show in there somewhere! I forgot all about that show until you mentioned it! Yes, it was pretty promising.

Surprised not to see Blood Brothers mentioned. Saw it a couple of years before it closed at the Phoenix. I thought it was boring and silly, I didn't like any of the songs, and the character of the Narrator irritated me beyond belief.
I was underwhelmed by Miss Saigon the first time I saw it, but loved it the second time. The comments about The Lion King are interesting - I remember loving it when I saw it (the opening sequence made me cry because it was so amazing) but this was fifteen years ago so I don't know how I'd feel about it if I saw it again.
