Oooo, this is a favourite film of mine, so I will be interested to see what they do with it!

I'd love it if this rumour is only half-right and Secret Garden is a concert with that cast but at Cadogan Hall on a Sunday. Exactly the sort of show Lambert Jackson stage brilliantly and successfully at that prestigious venue. I'd not be disappointing if this turns out to the the case!

I would love a full production, but a concert would still be good, as the music is beautiful in this show!

I'm 5'5" (do I win something?), and was really uncomfortable in a stalls seat watching this. It wasn't so much the legroom, but something about the angle of the seat and the fact it was so low down, it was really hurting my back by the interval, and I left it until the last possible second to sit down for the second half. I'm 5'10", I'm in the stalls RIGHT NOW - it's the interval - and... ow. I was upstairs in the Royal Circle, and it was one of the worst experiences I've had legroom wise! The curve of the seat in front was in such an awkward place that I pretty much had to sit almost similar to side saddle just so that my legs weren't making contact with the seat in front.

I've been following them online for ages, so glad there finally bringing the concept to London! Gives me another chance to see Laura Osnes in concert (and the others of course), singing princess songs

I don't see why Edward shouldn't be played by anyone younger just because Richard Gere was already in silver fox territory when they filmed the movie. Does it make the premise any more or less objectionable if a younger businessman buys a girl? And what's mediocre about giving a talented female newcomer a chance rather than a "name"? Pretty Woman is one of these rare shows that will sell on its own title alone, so it's a great opportunity to cast a newcomer. Fully agree with you on this! Why shouldn't they be considered/get it over some second rate stunt casting?! I know very little about the show, so would much prefer people that I know can deliver rather then names that are only sub par!

Has anyone had a listen yet? Whenever I've tuned in (not often) it's only been a playlist with automated voiceover. No actual presenters, but maybe I've just been unlucky with the times I've chosen. They have specific times that they do bits, according to what I've heard, but even then i think its all been pre-recorded. As I caught it around 7pm when they have someone on playing 'Their favourite songs from their favourite musicals', and the guy at the time his first one was from Hello Dolly, and he said this hasn't been revived in London for some time, and is well overdue. That was Tuesday night, so Hello Dolly with Imelda was announced last week. Its got a way to go, and hopefully it'll pick up, so they can start to man in with real people rather then pre-recorded

I managed to get it through my car, so its now always on, mostly for my drive to and from work, which takes about 20mins each way. Generally I've been happy with the songs that I've heard, but since I've had it on, which was from Friday, there are a couple of songs that I have caught multiple times, so quite clearly they have a batch of songs, and it does a random selection, unless its one of there designated time slots for something different! But overall, really pleased that I now have a way to listen to the music I like, and lets hope that it picks up, so they can start to man it more, and bring more diversity to it

Finally managed to catch this tonight at Milton Keynes, after trying on multiple occasions to get rush/last minuet tickets for London, to no avail. Managed to get the elusive Row C at Milton Keynes, so about 6 rows back from the stage, for the lowest band price due to 'Restricted leg room'.
We had all of the cast bar Jodie Steele, so we had Jennifer Caldwell on from what I can see as only her second performance as K.Howard. Special shout out for her, as she was fantastic, I really wasn't sure about how she was playing it at first, but she hit all the right moments, and her voice was incredible, matching Aimie Atkinson on the recording, if not even better!
I absolutely adored the show already before I had seen it, due to what I had been able to see online, and from the cast recording, so it had some big shoes to fill. And I'm really glad that I still love it as much after seeing it! There was a big group of us, most seeing it for the first time, 2 having seen it in London earlier on in the year. All of the tour queens make the characters their own, and in the opinion of the ones who were on their 2nd viewing, the tour Queens were more 'together and in sync' then when they saw the London production, which i think is a credit to them! They have made the decision for Lauren Drew (Aragon) to play with a Welsh twang to her voice, which is mainly played for laughs at various vocal moments but mainly during lib sections, which didn't bother me at all, but it did really urked my other half, as he didn't really understand why that choice had been made. Specifically as other then Cleaves, it is stated so many times that she came over from Spain, with little to no English, yet from your voice, it sounds like you've just come down from the valleys haha! If anything I am now more interested to see other Queens take on the roles, to see how they change from Queen to Queen. Personal favourite overall performance for me was Lauren Bryne (Seymour), I found myself watching her during most numbers, and she really did bring the house down with 'Heart of Stone', adding so many more levels and meaning to the song.
You do have to be prepared for everything being thrown at you from the get go, which if your there for it, then its great, but I could see some people around us that took time to warm up to it. We couldn't tell if they had follow spots or if they had 2 movers positioned on either side, but at times lighting was a little sloppy, nothing too noticeable. Band were on point, and sound was great from where we were sat. It does work in bigger spaces, I do just think that they need to tweak the level that they come in at from the beginning, ease the audience in a bit more, let them get the feel for the show, before going full throttle. Milton Keynes was packed, with the majority of the audience being born after 2000 if not later. There were a lot, and I mean a lot of school groups in, which I think is great, I would have loved to have seen something like this to be used as a tool to educate. As deep down you do get the history of all of the queens, and if Six have been clever, they will have created educational packs to reinforce what there trying to do.
Overall a fantastic night, I will definitely be visiting again, whether thats the tour elsewhere or finally making it to the Arts. 5 * from me!

So excited to be finally ticking this off the list tonight! We managed to get £25 tickets when they were on offer a while back, and decided to go Royal Circle rather then towards the back of the stall, to avoid any overhang!
Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about!

Anybody wanting a last minute trip or cheap way of seeing the show , there's a public dress rehearsal at 2.15 today for the grand total of £1 a ticket. I've been to them before, you get the full show as normal and they are quite interesting to be at because all the tech desks and creatives are around. On sale via the Curve website at 11am. I've been to a couple of them, when I lived in Leicester! They are great value for money, as AndyH said you get to see the full show, as it would, but they do make you aware that they might need to stop for any reason, so to bare with them! If anyone can make it, I would thoroughly recommend it!

I have always admired the unique stamp that Curve always put on their 'Made at Curve' shows! They don't always work, but I think its bold of them to try.
So it will be really interesting to see how this works. They released some photos from around the building for Love Theatre Day, which included photos of the stage with them building the set, so that was a nice sneak peak!
Plan to see it some point in December, so will report back!

If I can pick this up in my car this will be great for my drive to/from work in the morning! Longer journeys I'll still use my iPod, but when you just want something on in the background for a 20 min drive, sounds perfect!

Am I going crazy, or did they pull the cast recording release date forward to Friday 15th? Everywhere I can see it is still saying the 22nd? Or was it somewhere specific you could get it from the 15th, or am I just going crazy haha? That explains things! Good to know, I was just looking forward to listening to it on my 2 and half hour drive on Saturday!! Next weekend then!

Saw Josh Piterman a few weeks back now. At the interval, I have to admit I wasn't a HUGE fan of him, but his Final Lair blew me away (and was perhaps the best performance I've ever seen from a Phantom). Genuinely amazing. I’m there next week - I’ve not been for a couple of years but love the music and somehow managed to pick up a really cheap front row seat - who is the Raoul these days? Danny Whitehead, according to the website!

Every time we get in the car my partner puts on The Cher Show, which we are gutted we missed, and Six is always a constant for me on shorter journeys.
When I have a long trip I try to listen to a full show in its entirety, as so many shows I only listen to a select few songs. With City of Angels coming back I should really give that a listen, would people recommend the OBC or the OLC recording?

Did the show commence immediately at the start of the broadcast or are there interviews/trailers for the first few minutes? At ours there was 1 trailer for The Royal Opera House, regarding live screenings then it went straight into the recording. They played it a minuet or so before 2pm, so it still started at 2pm.
