Lastminute.com are currently offering preview performances row AA for £15 with no other fees. There are some row AA available on ATG, though regular customers will have to pay the transaction fee on top of that, so lastminute.com looks like a winner.
Also noticed talk earlier in the thread about this being an open ended run, but on the show website it definitely says it's a limited season.

The proscenium mean that the seats more at the sides of the rows have a side on/restricted view? I'm looking one a seat now but it's only the 5th seat in the row and i don't want to miss anything. I was sat 3rd seat from the end of row C and didn't miss a thing. When I saw the proscenium arch they've put in I was worried, but everything happens in front of it and not behind.

Plus the ending of Act One was a complete restaging of the ending end of Act Two of The Girls just substituting daffodils for sunflowers. I thought that too, however if you search on youtube you can find footage of the Broadway production (which was pre-The Girls) and this scene was pretty similar to how they've done it at The Other Palace, so it was definitely Big Fish's idea 'first' 😀

It doesn't look like there's any discounts around at the moment - in fact tickets have been removed from sale completely from a lot of places that were advertising them previously (TodayTix for example)
One thing that is annoying me about this production is that they've posted competitions to win tickets on their Facebook and Twitter pages on numerous occasions, and every time they don't post any terms and conditions, no closing date, and they never announce a winner (this is dating back as far as August). I messaged them on Facebook, DMd and tweeted them - I can see they're reading the messages (and responding to other people) but just ignoring me when I'm calling them out on it - at one point they tweeted saying they would announce a winner the following day, but they never did then deleted the tweet saying they were going to do an announcement.

If anyone is still trying to get tickets, using Firefox (I tried it on a Mac, not sure about Windows) enables the seat map, which seems to be switched off for everyone else. Just had a look through a lot of dates and there's only really £200 premiums left or a handful of £100 boxes and a couple of restricted view rear stalls.

I saw it last night and loved it. It was great fun and for me one of the big surprises of this year. The cast is top notch and they had me smiling all the way through. Beautifully staged with a lovely score. Will try to catch it again before it closes. Thank you to everyone one who recommended this. I would have missed it otherwise. And thank you for mentioning the code also. Got great seats in the Pit for £20. You guys are the best! I was going to post pretty much exactly the same! I was there last night too, and wouldn't have been there had it not been for this board. I absolutely adored it - loved all the little touches before the show started and during the interval (thanks to the tip from the earlier poster about being in the lower gallery foyer during the interval). It was my first time in the playhouse (it's stunning!), and even though my seat had a 'back' in row C of the lower gallery I was still very sore at the end - definitely take a jacket to roll up behind you. I still left with a huge grin on my face though! Will definitely be going back again before it finishes.

I paid $180 for row E of the mezz for a Bette performance. See my post a few above this one on how I got the ticket a few weeks before the show 😀

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the advice on this thread - booked row C of the lower gallery using the discount code for Wednesday this week. The reviews have come out this morning and they're all pretty great.
Broadway World ***** The Upcoming ***** The Stage **** TimeOut **** The Times **** Telegraph **** Evening Standard ***
This isn't something that would have been on my radar if it wasn't for this board, and now I'm really looking forward to it.

The projectile vomit was there - just done to the side, not out front. The only thing I could see was a slightly damp wall after it had actually happened - one of the priests was standing in the way (considering I was right in the middle of the stalls I would have thought I would have been able to see the iconic scenes) I guess I was expecting a bit more from it rather than just a quick squirt onto a wall - I wanted to see the priests get drenched!

I was there last night too and wasn't quite so impressed. I was in the middle of row A so I might have been exposed to the flaws a bit more than the rest of the audience, but some of the things that bugged me: The backstage guys were making so much noise during the scene changes - there could be a tense conversation happening on one side of the stage, but I was completely distracted by the banging and clanking coming from the other side of the stage. They had also tried really hard to be able to do all the scene changes in the dark or behind a screen, but then at one point towards the end 2 guys just walk on with a bench and plonk it on the stage - not sure if this was intentional? Ian McKellen overall I thought was great, but some of it was SO camp I was really giggling when at parts that were supposed to be scary One of the iconic scenes in the bed was fairly well done, but I had to laugh when her wig was suddenly 3 times as big as it was previously just for a couple of scenes, then went back to normal size again Im not sure I would have said the theatre was packed to the rafters - in my row there were at least 5 empty seats, and row AA had some empty too. I know it's still technically in previews so still time to smooth things out, but some of the effects/magic were just a little too obvious for my liking: {Spoiler - click to view} Before biting off the guys ear she obviously put something in her mouth then spoke the next few lines with a mouthful. Having to fumble around under the duvet to put her feet in the mechanism which would then raise her up etc. I could barely see the vomit at all - Im not sure if there is a way this could have been done better, but it didn't really get any reaction at all and it's one of the most iconic moments from the movie. None of the 'illusions' were really as jaw dropping as I would have hoped. There was also one character at the curtain call that I think I only saw for a few seconds standing at the top of the stairs? Who was she supposed to be? I'm glad I only paid £15 and thought it was OK for that price - I would have been very disappointed if I'd paid more.

I booked row A for £15 when they first went on sale and presumed that was the front row, as AA was not available. It now looks like AA are being sold as day seats? Is that right?

Bumped into Nathan Lane outside the Shubert Theatre on Friday night. Tried to tell him how much I enjoyed his performance in Angels in London but just ended up dribbling. Smooth.

If anyone is looking at going to this but only finding premium seats available I’d recommend checking Telecharge regularly for returns. I checked probably 3 times per day for about 3 weeks and eventually saw a more reasonable (in comparison) side mezzanine seat appear and snapped it up immediately
Saw the show on Friday night - this really is the epitome of Broadway, and Bette was even more incredible than I was expecting. I thought I was going to lose a contact lens during the dinner scene!

Went to the first preview of this at the Arts last night and thought it was absolutely fantastic. I missed it at Southwark, but the guy sat next to me said it was completely different to how he remembered it at Southwark, in a good way. Sat the other side of me was the full creative team, so it was fascinating to hear them talk about the show also, they were commenting how the 'grungey' feel of the Arts suited the show. There was one 5 minute stop only a few minutes in where someone knocked the power to the sound board out, but the cast handled it brilliantly and other than that it felt really smooth for a first preview. I did hear the creative team saying that the 'LED Mapping' that is in the floor and the walls of the stage hasn't been switched on yet, but should be ready by next Monday and will be pretty impressive in the big numbers. It really reminded me of Urinetown (which I thought was genius) and loved how they even hold up a Urinetown t-shirt at one point.
It says in the programme that it was the professional debut of the guy playing 'White Dude' and he was the stand out star for me - I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him.
Will definitely be going back before the run ends!
(Definitely avoid the front row if you're not a fan of audience participation!)

If anyone has been waiting to see if any offers appear at the end of the run like I have, just had an email from Official London Theatre - £10 off band A, B & C tickets for all performances except Fri & Sat if you put in the code 'OLT' when booking through the Open Air Theatre website. Forecast looks dry from Tuesday onwards this week!

Saw this last week and really enjoyed it - a nice family show. Reminded me very much of The 39 Steps crossed with a bit of The Play That Goes Wrong with some panto thrown in. The place was pretty empty - was surprised to not see more deals around for this but managed to get the Facebook page to give me a discount code by asking nicely 😀

If you go on the Criterion Box Office site, choose a Sunday with good availability (I think there are limited numbers of the £25 seats available) then select band A seats (when I just looked band A seats are coloured blue) then click continue, then continue again then the next page there is a box to put in a promo code, so just put it in there and it will reduce the price of the tickets if the offer is still available for that date 😀

Hmmm Metro, Evening Standard etc all say on sale 4pm Friday
I agree - you can't really go wrong for £15. I am wondering why the front row is quite so cheap as the view from there at the Phoenix isn't that bad - is it going to be in a splash zone for the green vomit scene?

Some of the press releases said tickets would go on sale 4pm Friday 11th August, and the Phoenix tweeted saying general booking is open Monday 14th at 10am, however I just booked £15 front row seats through ATG, so presuming either there is a glitch or booking has opened early (I'm not an ATG card holder)

Bill Murray has been to the Broadway show: NMEThis visit couldn't have come at a better time to drum up a bit of publicity after the grosses fell 9% this week. It's so sad to see the grosses for the Broadway production slipping further and further down every week - I'd be very surprised if it had much longer left. I'm feeling less hopeful by the day that it will make its way back to London.

I saw it last week and only booked because of Evanna Lynch and managing to get a very cheap ticket. For about the first 15 minutes I honestly could not understand a word they were saying - it took until this time to realise that they were doing Irish accents. Once it got going I started to enjoy it, and there were a few genuinely really moving moments. The performances were good - the two of them had heaps of energy, but the play itself wasn't really to my taste. I'm glad I saw it, but won't be rushing back.

I was convinced that at one point a different girl came on as one role but it couldn't have been. I was there again last night (won their Facebook competition!) and it was definitely the same girl throughout. The theatre was even hotter last night than it was last week - I did spot what looked like shiny white (new?) air conditioning units above the balconies and along the ceiling at the sides of the stalls (I saw someone a few pages back saying they thought aircon was being installed), though if they are new they definitely weren't on yet as the flaps on the front were closed. For those that were disappointed and left at the interval, the second act is significantly better than the first in my opinion - in particular the interrogation followed by the front line scenes were very well done.

Well this was absolutely brilliant - enjoyed every minute of it! Was sad to see that probably the back 6 or 7 rows were completely empty, and a lot of other empty seats dotted around. After complaining on here last week about the lack of offers they seem to be all over the place now, so hopefully it will start filling up - it really deserves it! Purposely booked seat L1 right near the door as thought that would be the coolest place but still really struggled with the heat. Isn't there some kind of law about acceptable temperatures in public spaces? There must be something they can do?

Well these are getting snapped up very fast! Every seat I clicked on came up 'seat not available' even though it was clearly available on the plan, so was like playing cat and mouse trying to click on a seat before someone else, but at least it was a smooth experience. Ended up with row C for the last preview

Their Facebook page has just put up a link for best seats £17.50 How do you get this price? The link takes me to the normal page The benches at the side of the stage are £21 (minus £3 booking fee and 50p restoration fee = £17.50). It's a bit of a poorly worded statement and the key word is *FROM* £17.50 (but this price definitely isn't for the 'best' seats). The top price seats are still £43 at full price incl fees

That offer is also on Amazon Tickets, which is powered by fromtheboxoffice. Ah - I originally checked there and nothing came up when searching for 'Yank' - looks like their search engine is broken! I can see it now in the list of available shows, but sill doesn't come up when searching

Was really surprised that I couldn't find any offers for this anywhere, seeing as it looks like only a handful of tickets have been sold for a lot of performances this week. Also surprised that tickets aren't even available at all on a lot of the usual places (TodayTix etc). Messaged the Yank Facebook page and they told me the best offer they have at the moment is on fromtheboxoffice.com, just picked up a great stalls seat (right by the entrance door which will hopefully be a bit cooler!) for £19.50 😀

Got through the queue by about 10:30, I got a lucky dip ticket for both parts of The Inheritance on a weeknight - there weren't any lucky dip tickets left for the Saturday 2 play day that I looked at. First time booking with the Young Vic, an all round pleasant experience!
And thanks Baemax for your reassurance - I decided to get the Fun Home tickets through TodayTix to be sure to get them, but waited for general sale for The Inheritance to avoid paying £6 booking fee on £20 worth of tickets!
