Just read on the MTAS facebook a post by someone saying there is a rumour that Conor Maynard is next to play Marius.
Please god I hope not.
Next, why on earth are Les Mis trying to stunt cast. The show sells out.
If you watched I'm a celeb his brother was the one kicked out on the second day. They are Youtubers although he does sing.

I love the show watched the very first episode when it first aired instantly hooked. Having an unknown element of every episode you just don't know where it will go. If you will be laughing at the end, crying at the end, or have no idea what happened at the end, because you spent last 5 minutes with your hands over your eyes. I never grew up watching anthology style shows it's as I have got older I found I really like them.

Killian is off an awful lot, I wonder if he has health problems or if it's in his contract? I was wondering as well. I know a lot has been holiday but I think a fair bit has been illness as well. We all know the Mondays he's off. Makes me wonder if he will be JVJ for a 2nd year though.

The only place I ever had a booking free paying in cash was at TKTS it's was £1. All the tickets I buy are in cash and usually from the venue but haven't been charged booking at venues (or at least the ones I have been to)

Does anyone know if 9 June is the confirmed date for cast change? Or might they go a week later to 16th and get back to being more in the middle of the month? I want to book before all the good but reasonably priced seats are gone, I can't believe what they're charging now for the premium seats! A few of the cast spotlight pages state they are there until the 9th June (when their contract ends) so I assume that will be the change. I am booking matinee from the following week just in case.

I have a general question just to satisfy my curiosity has anyone yet got tickets (or E Ticket) from the box office in person and paid in cash. I know it's early days but wondering do you still need ID if you don't pay with a card. I ask because they say you can buy in cash. (I have looked on the site it directs me to ATG and they will only answer a question if made a purchase already) I have neither a card or passport/driving licence anyway. I don't know for sure, but based on the process to get into the building, I'd say you'd need photo ID to get through the first security check. It would be interesting to see what the box office give you. Perhaps a physical ticket with a name printed on (to be compared against the photo ID). Probably worth giving the box office a ring. Please report back if you do. I had to look around the Delfont website but I think I found my answer. On a FAQ where it says about theatre tokens it says you can't use them to book "Bookings must be linked to a payment card which is swiped on entry to the theatre." Which means if you pay in cash you still need a card and ID. Sigh I don't have enough money to pay for someone else to go with me. I hope they don't start this with other shows. Rob me of my one enjoyment I have.

I must have some sort of "Front Row Les Mis" curse. Everytime I have sat front row I have had an onslaught of chatting, sweets etc. Today was both my birthday and 100th time seeing Les Mis. I had an older woman sat next to me and take her shoes and socks off, hitting my leg with her sock. When I sighed (you know the one 'Why me?' Sigh) she muttered "what?, I have a back problem." I have a back problem and questionable circulation but don't take my shoes and socks off. If I had to I would do to the bathroom and do it, not wait until I sat down. She had a pair of ballet style shoes with her she put on at the interval. So she could have done that or brought slippers. She didnt come back for the second half. Also two people sat behind me chatting after some songs. But it was the weird giggle they did when Marius and Cosette did a kiss.

A spoiler alert for those reading the book.
But the little quotes on each of the chapters. There was one that I laughed hysterically at. The one that says about actors using sunblock because they don't want boys on the barricade looking like they should be in Mamma Mia. (Page 46)
It's funny last year one of the Les Mis swings - Danny, went on holiday to Bali for 2 weeks and got a proper tan. He turns up on the show clashing with Combeferre costume 😂

I went to the signing and Q and A this afternoon at the Theatre Cafe. Was brilliant and amazing to meet him. Lovely, charming and hilarious man. The temptation to rip off the mask was intense! Surprised though that my friend and I were the only two people there for the Q and A and to get the book signed! Expected it to be mobbed but sadly not. I forgot the signing was yesterday and even though I went and bought the book yesterday if I realised I would have gone along rather than be on my bus going home and realising 😔.

Does Fantine have another track after her departure or does she just sit in her dressing room until the finale? I bet she plays a lot of Candy Crush! She is on the barricade as a boy or an urchin. JVJ & Javert are the only two leads that don't have an ensemble track in the show.

All the time going to Miss Saigon I remembered the gunshots but forgot about the pyro in one bit!! I saw the current tour of Miss Saigon in August and was expecting guns and pyros, but I don't remember there being any pyros? I didn't find the gunshots so bad as I was kind of expecting them, and it sounded like a sound effect to me opposed to them firing a blank (and I was sitting right at that back so that probably helped). I can't remember what the scene is called. But when they have the dragon. Just as it starts they set off loud bangs. I thought was just sound having sat front row I think it was pyro.

I've seen Les Mis twice in the past 3 months and it is an intresting casting! In August, We had the full cast with Katie Kerr as Madame T who is insane!!!! Extremely lucky to have seen her perform again last night. The role was made for her and she stole the show! We had Emma Banks at Eponine who was pleasant in August. Last night, I saw Karis Jack at Eponine and we were all confused by her performance. The attitude was a little over the top and didn't provide any emotion from the audience during 'little full of rain' or 'on my own'. She over performed her dying soon by grabbing onto Marius so tightly, Paul Wilkins (an outstanding Marius) look terrified! She was also very mumbly which was disappointing. Not convinced with Adam Bayjou as Valjean initially but he became comfortable as the show went on. Kieran Donnelly is by far a stronger Valjean and more assertive, professional and consistent. Carley Stenson, Hughie O Grady and Charlotte Kennedy were all great in their respective roles. Overall for a Saturday night performance it was strong but the cast the first time round (Aug 8th) was a lot stronger and believable. Who is Emma Banks? Emma Barr isn't an Eponine cover maybe it was Alice she is the 1st cover or Lauren who is 2nd cover?? Rebecca has yet to make her Eponine debut.

I am really jumpy even the sudden sound of drums have me leaping all over the place. I know when Les Mis gunshots are and have to stick my fingers in my ears. If I am at something and anyone is waving around a gun I will sit there prepared to cover my ears. All the time going to Miss Saigon I remembered the gunshots but forgot about the pyro in one bit!!

Knew I should have gone Tuesday as well I had a thought Paul was off had an interest in seeing what Ciaran was like as Marius (because I knew the 1st cover John wasn't there.) But that does mean if Paul isn't there today and John is back they will have had 4 days with 4 different Marius'

Off's and illness yesterday show had a 30 min delay because Jonny was thrown on as Marius and Danny as Enjolras. They found out about half an hour before the show was due to start. Jonny only did the Marius track not the ensemble part. That was done by Oli Brenin.

I notice the Les Mis ones I go to.
On the 1st day of the new cast this year well one of the cast forgot a whole chuck of a solo bit in a song. The sound effects for gunshots all went off too early and the cast has to improv as if they where tryig to duck and hide. It was pretty funny.
One time they got a costume wrong for the 2nd Cover Factory Foreman (Oli Brenin) so he had to enter that scene in his general factory wirker attire. In all fairness I went SD that day and the first thing I got ask was "Did you see the costume mistake?". But apparently it rarely happens.
A few weeks ago they had a show stop just after JVJ saves Marius and went down the trap door but it got stuck and they had to stop the show to fix it.
In Master of the House one of the actors playing customers (Danny) near the end of the song throws his hat in the air. That day it fell down and hit Jacqui (Mme Thenardier) in the face.
Last week again during MotH at the table of the right hand side of the stage you have four sitting. Danny who is meant to (or at least has been) catching a cork that Steve (Thenardier) throws in his hat. Didn't and it hit John (the one that sits next to him) in the face.
In the same scene last year cast but when Danny was a swing and he was covering and Oli (swing was covering). They do a bit of arm wrestle so Thenardier can steal the money out the back pocket. Oli & Danny for got to do this and Oli put his hand up to his face as David (Last Yrs Thenardier) was taking the money. Like the thing you do when you hope no one saw you 😂😂😂😂

Yes. They still have to convey a character to the audience on stage.
I have seen some performers who were very questionable. One who I wont say who but he took over a role in a show that's gone from WE. I knew who he was but he wasn't known to me to be an actor. He certianly couldn't sing or act. He ruined that show for me. There are some that overact you just look on at them think "What on earth are you doing?"

The show pretty much sells out each night and most of the people going to the show either haven't been for quite a while, never seen the show or a lot of tourists do go an see it. I doubt that will slow.
I have been *cough cough* quite a few times in the last two years. In all honesty there are a fair number of actors in it this cast year I am not impressed by. In some cases it's the acting and in some it's the singing and some both.
Really and truthfully I am currently only going to see that show when Adam is Valjean and if Danny end up on as Bamatabois or Enjolras. And to see Oli Brenin in it when he is on (but he is a swing it's a game of swing Russian Roulette). I still want to see a couple of covers in the show. But honestly if them 3 leave at the cast change and a fair number of this cast stay. I don't think I can warrent going back to see it. I will see the new cast for sure but any more than that is... ummmm.

As the owner of a couple of fan accounts I haven't to my knowledge come across one I follow on twitter that's done by the actor/actress. But in all fairness I don't follow that many. I find a lot of abandoned pages. When I set up one for Danny Whitehead I found an abandoned one for him and his boyfriend when they were on the Wicked UK tour a couple of years ago.

The Male ensemble cast were generally far too young to be believable as burly prisoners/ gang members. It's difficult because 8 of the 9 convicts (excluding JVJ) are all students later in the show and 6 of them also cover for leads/featured (1 JVJ, 2 Marius', 2 Enjolras', 1 Grantaire, 1 Factory Foreman, 1 Bishop & 1 Bamatabois) so most of the casts characters ages in the show vary through out. Then they are all on stage dancing at the wedding at the end. It's a short scene it wouldn't be practical to have 9 cast members that are only used for one scene. I have heard someone before say about the students looking too old. There are only 11 male ensemble parts with tracks.

Loved this. One blip where they had to redo (did Rosalie miss an entrance)?, and I thought the singers could have been a little closer to the mikes, but then I'm struggling with ear infections, so maybe just me. Am a teeny bit in love with John Owen Jones, who did a lovely French via Wales accent. Simon Bailey not Peter Polycarpou as we'd thought, but love Simon Bailey anyway, and he was a gorgeous Billis. Having seen Les Mis the night before quite a surprise to see so many back on stage! Gosh, Ms Thenardier is pretty - great Bloody Mary, Rosalie was charming as Nellie - great part for her, she was super. My surprise of the evening was Bradley Jaden - don't think I've seen him before, but really enjoyed his performance. You have to go see Bradley in Wicked.

I don't know maybe I attracted these people. I tell you what young people get a pretty bad reputation for talking. I was at South Pacific. I sat right in front of Mark Shenton the woman who sat next to him talked during the overature of the orchestra. This progessively drunk woman sat next to me, who I will say possible 20-30 years older than me (me at 33). Not only talked on and off during the show. In the second half hummed to songs and began to sing odd lines. She talked to me during the interval. I said I was only there to see Danny Whitehead then said the blonde one to her. So of course as he comes on to stage in the second half she tries to talk to me. I knew what she was going to do and sssshhhhed her. I am sorry I am trying to enjoy it.

I like tattoes (nowhere brave enough to get one). I remember going to see Rent and it had Ross Hunter as Roger. At a point I was staring at his arms that had a few tattoes on them. I kept thinking about someone having to apply tattooes (as I know someone who as had to do this on a show). Well as I found out from his intsagram later on - they were all his own tattooes.

And following on from my mini rant about people with pint glasses of beer, at The Park, one guy comes in with his pint and as he is sitting on front row he puts it on the stage. Where did he think he was? The last day of Clockwork Orange this bloke put his pint on the prop table at the side of stage. Although none of the ushers told him to move it and he did by the time the show started but still.

She is in the show today (someone posted the cast board to me). According to her Spotlight page she is u/s Factory Girl and Assistant dance captain now. Which means Jo Loxton must have left already and I assume Oli Brenin is now the Dance Captain. Jo hasn't left they appear to have 3 female swings and 2 Asst Dance Captains at the present time. I guess until Jo does leave.
