Cardiff was cancelled. I really hope they find new dates for this. Loved it at the haymarket.

Ah Katykate we were at the same show! Also thought Lauren Drew was a standout, I wasn’t a huge fan of Alicia who played Howard, she sounded like she was out of breath throughout her song but still enjoyed it. Lauren Byrne is Seymour and thought she was brilliant. I’ve seen it in the West End and I think I prefer the arts, I was back of stalls at WMC and couldn’t see the girls’ facial expressions as well and couldn’t see little details like Boleyn starting her song taking selfies on her phone. Was a complete sell out including standing tickets! What a phenomenal show and cast! Agree with you about K Howard seeming out of breath. I think the song lacked the sinister impact it should have had! We were sat about 7 rows back centre stalls so had a fantastic view so dan imaging some of the little details would be lost further back. Very tempted to book for Bristol.....

Saw the tour last Thursday at the wmc. What a fun show! Was hoping to see Jodie Steele as has previously seen her in heathers but we had an understudy kate Howard. Have loved the cast recording for ages and the show was better than expected! Really funny and wow those girls can sing! Stand outs were Lauren drew (disappointingly in a temporary costume) and Jane Seymour (sorry not sure of the actresses name!). Heart of stone is not my favourite on the album but was phenomenal on stage! Took two friends who had never heard of it and now they are converted and listening to the album every day since! The fangirls were out in force in a packed WMC and audience reactions v enthusiastic from the minute the queens appeared! So lovely to see so many young people at the theatre. My friends and I now consider ourselves 30 something year old members of the queendom! Also shout out to the AMAZING sign language interpreter side of stage who deserves her own show!

Saw the matinee of this yesterday and it really surpassed expectations for me. I’m very familiar with the cast recording and have always enjoyed the music but I think within the context of the show as a whole the emotion of the songs really come alive. We saw Marcus the alternate Evan who was superb. He played Evan’s anxious awkwardness brilliantly but not too over the top. Lovely voice which was reminiscent of Ben platt at times I thought. All of the small cast were really suited to their roles and stand outs for me were zoe and Heidi. I was in absolute bits at “so big so small”. The simple set was really effective and the whole thing had “curious incident” vibes. The lighting was also really well thought out and impactful. Loved the band being visible onstage. Dreamy dreamy strings! I think there is something in this show for everyone to relate to and really left an impact on both me and my other half. It’s essentially about everyone’s need for connection in a superficial world and I loved it. Hoping it will tour in the future and come to Cardiff as my next london trip will have to be done from away!!

Loved this last night. Perfect sound and picture in our cinema. Thought michael ball tried his best to be evil but is just too nice! Carrie and Shan stood out for me. Loved he encores! Looking forward to seeing the show this sat in WMC and will certainly be booking to see the new cast in the Sondheim next year.

What a vague website for the cinema version! Signed up for alerts as on the day it announced my local vue wasn’t showing it on their website. Not heard anything via email, checked vue today and it’s already sold out. So annoying. Luckily am seeing the tour on the 5th in WMC anyway but would have liked to have seen this concert. Ah well

I assumed the 7 week break was for Cinderella on Broadway...? Is that a possibility?

What in your expert options are the best value seats for 75 or less? I’m so tempted and considering taking my parents to give me an excuse!

I’m dying to see it but not sure can justify a London trip. Would be a easy show to tour surely with such a small company. Fingers crossed!

Oh I’d love to see Lucie in this. Saw her in Rent and LB and she’s just fabulous. Not sure I can justify another London trip to see this show again but I know she’ll be perfect for the role. Good luck to her from a fellow welsh girl!

Good for Waitress! If the aim of musical theatre is to provide an enjoyable night out with talented performers then this delivers. I think it is well deserving of the good reviews and I think it will be around for a while. Why does it even need to be compared to anything else when it is just a good show in its own right?
I dragged my other half to see it and he (to my surprise) loved it. I even caught him listening to you matter to me the other day so he is a definite convert! For this reason I think it will appeal to the masses and be well received.
Hope I didn’t make any spelling mistakes in this post or I will be picked up by the grammar police again...
