I had the presale email but think I’m going to wait til general sale in April as I’m aiming to go more like Jan/feb as presale is only for the first 8 weeks. I’m hoping tickets will be fairly easy to come by after the initial presale madness.

‘KMP’s” please. Let’s not forget how many here get possessive. Oh god how embarrasing....

Husband had the bannoffi which was also quite nice. They are tiny for 6 quid but the jar is a nice momento.
At the end of the day the show is a bit of fun not to be taken too seriously. Everyone has different tastes which makes the world an interesting place. I just love a couple of hours out of reality. Oh I also thought KMPs acting was fine and felt she had chemistry with all the characters. Dr P was adorable too.

As above, this forum had me feeling a little worried that I wasn’t going to enjoy this with a few negative things that have been said but I just bloody loved it this afternoon. Great casting, KMP (😜) was just fantastic and her SUTBM was phenomenal with prolonged applause after.
I didn’t find the Ogie/dawn story creepy or uncomfortable and as someone else said it was over by the end of that one song. Ogie was hilarious and I can (almost) forgive the terrible singing because he did the comedy so well.
If Lucie ends up taking over I may have to sell a kidney to make a return trip. Was worried my other half wouldn’t enjoy it but he really loved it too and found it really funny.

Saw the matinee this afternoon in Cardiff and I have to say after seeing the London production 2 years ago it left me feeling a little cold. The sound felt very off in the first act, and the cast seemed to lack the energy I remember seeing last time. The ensemble numbers with the kids seemed a little thin on volume. Unfortunately our Matilda made a few mistakes which made it quite stressful to watch at times. The second act was much improved and it ended on a high, but had this been my first time seeing it, I wouldn’t feel compelled to see it again. My kids (4 and 7) enjoyed it A nice family day out but slightly disappointing.

Well I just loved that! Saw it three times on stage, once at the savoy and twice on the tour and this showing really bright back the joy I felt every time. It really is a fantastic piece. Sheridan as always steals the show. She really puts her heart and soul into every performance and deserves all the praise she gets.
Fingers crossed for a DVD release!

She liked a couple of my tweets too 😀 saw the show this aft and I thought she was fab! Could tell she was saving her voice in the ensemble bits but her solo singing was note perfect. If she can do that poorly fair play to the girl! Loved it! 👏👏👏

Thanks all for the input! May avoid the merch stand and just get a programme then. Dont want to end up in a fight with a teenage girl over a t shirt...
Just seen on Instagram carrie is under the weather. Hoping she’s better for this Saturday matinee. Any idea who the understudy Veronica is?

Saw this last night after loving the first film. I don’t think the smile left my face the whole time! Pure escapism! Loved the cast - young Bill is to die for! Highlights were Lily James’ voice and portrayal of young Donna and loved how endearing Amanda plays Sophie as in the first film. Will definitely be watching again next time I need a bit of unapologetic cheese!

Just booked for this in October. Never seen the film but curious to see this after the good response it’s had. Interested to see CHF in a musical as I like her voice and never caught her in any shows before.
If nothing else it’ll be a nice day out and a hopefully fun show. Looking forward to it!

Saw this for £16 at my local vue last night. No technical glitches or loss of signal. The screen was full and it had a great reception.
Having not known a lot about this show before seeing it I had no real expectations. I just loved it. I thought the songs were fantastic and loved the different genres of music used throughout. Love love loved Josie walker as the Mum and her lovely Carpenters-esque style. I thought Pritti was wonderfully endearing too. The ensemble had so much energy and the choreography was great, especially the sequence in “if I met myself again”. “He’s my boy” had me welling up, you could just feel the emotion coming through the screen.
Living in South Wales it’s not simple to hop to London every weekend so I think it’s great they do these live screenings. I would definately consider making the trip to London to see it in the flesh now.

Really enjoyed this at the WMC last night. I thought it was really well done and loved the score. The momentum and emotion of act 2 was interrupted about 15mins to the end due to an audience incident. Just after Mr Andrews sings the song about what will happen when the ship sinks, there was quite a commotion near the front of the stalls with a large group of people leaving the auditorium. The house lights came up with the actors looking slightly perplexed on stage, then the curtain came down to a smattering of confused applause from an audience who assumed this was a strange end to the show. A few minutes later, just as people started to leave, an announcement that the show would recommence shortly came on the tannoy. We think somebody had perhaps been sick as a cleaner appear in the are of the vacated seats and the smell of disinfectant drifted across the stalls!
After a break of about 15 mins the show restarted to a little less dramatic effect.
An enjoyable evening but I hope whoever was taken ill is ok!

Saw this with my little boy at the wmc yesterday afternoon after only ever seeing the recorded version on dvd. On the whole we had fun, but it seemed to lack energy at times and felt much cheaper than the version I had previously seen.
Amelia Lily was a pretty good Fiona. Although you could tell she was new to the role. I think she’ll settle in well and had good chemistry with shrek.
The puppet bit was a bit weird and fell a bit flat.
High points: the ensemble were great, the dragon was fantastic and lord farquard brought the comedy (with a few little welsh references which the audience loved).
On the whole, nowhere near the best thing I’ve seen but my 6 year old loved it and we had a fun afternoon.

Echo your thoughts on the album. Gave it a quick listen but hated the arrangements and orchestrations. Just felt a bit cheap and grated on me. Shame because her voice is lovely.

Saw this yesterday afternoon at last! Was so worried I had built it up too much in my head and would be underwhelmed, but it was even better than my expectations. Full cast except ash hunter was playing the Laurens/ Philip role. Couldn’t fault any of the cast. Jamael was excellent as hamilton. His rapping definitely has a Lin-esque vibe. The real standout for me was Washington. I could listen to him sing all day. Can’t say much more than what’s already been said. Entered the theatre quickly and only queued for 5 mins max for merch. View from row B of the Royal circle was perfect, felt very close to the action. Leg room situation was not a problem at all for 5 toot 7 me and 5 foot 11 husband. Already planning another visit if funds allow! Also saw Davina McCall at the bar - she enjoyed it too! I love her! Is she nice? Yes she was lovely! Exchanged pleasantries at the bar and when another lady asked for a selfie she was very obliging and friendly. She was there with her kids and sat in the row in front of us.

Anyone know if there’s a schedule for the alternates? Going on a sat matinee at the end of Jan and wondering which hamilton we will be seeing. In row b of Royal circle so hoping the view will be good.

Saw this in Cardiff last night and just loved it! Lucie was note perfect as Elle and I thought played the comedy really well! As others have said, Rita was a very pleasant surprise as Paulette. Great comic timing and who knew she could sing like that! A real grit to her voice she was fab!
I thought the direction was great and everyone left with a huge smile on their face. Ridiculous megamix but lots of fun!
Standing ovation but no surprise there for a welsh girl in Cardiff! Thouroghly well deserved though. See it if you can.

This is just lovely. Beautiful style and wonderful performances. Hugh Grant particularly funny. You would have to have a heart of stone not to enjoy it.
