NxNW did get pretty good reviews in Australia last year - it does sound intriguing

To go off topic a little, would you mind posting a few thoughts about "Plastic"? I'm wondering whether to book

HG - have you received the new season brochure? If so, does it mention the booking dates for friends? Thanks...

The box office is saying it is now running at 3.45 - with the first part 1.45, the others 35 and 55 minutes.

We were in F20 and F21 yesterday - you can't see the fire escape area at all but the other end of row F looked worse. No one offered to move us but I expect they would if we'd asked.
Oh and sorry for boring you HG, you could always leave one of your hilarious comments to brighten up the thread

I'd just like to say that I don't know 'whodunnit' in the Mousetrap. Is this a record? The BBC programme Points of View (allowing people to comment on other BBC shows) once had a viewer complaining that the identity of the killer had been given away in a comedy show. And what did Points of View do? They replayed the clip identifying the killer. So although I haven't seen the play, or the comic who gave away the ending, I still know what happens

Indeed, half empty at the Saturday matinee. Such a shame, as it was an outstanding production with stunning performances from the leads.

I've been in the queue twice today - both times the "countdown" has frozen, I've had to reload the web page and start again. Currently number 453

I don't want to see novels on stage; I want to see plays! Normally yes, but Mike Poulton and the RSC did a pretty decent job with Wolf Hall

Find it so annoying that you can't even do basic stuff like check dates on the website without being stuck in a queue. Agree. Their info on Galileo is very limited, no actor or director credited even though they know what the set will look like. I hope they're not hiding the fact Richard Jones will direct (just a joke .... I hope) From the link above Life of Galileo by Bertolt Brecht, translated by John Willett, runs 6 May – 24 June 2017 in the Young Vic’s Main House. It is directed by Joe Wright with design by Lizzie Clachan, video by Lysander Ashton for 59 Productions, light by Jon Clark, sound by Tom Gibbons, puppet direction by Sarah Wright and dramaturgy by Sarah Tipple. With Brendan Cowell and more to be announced.

Just finished Julius Caesar - utterly superb and totally justifying its standing ovation. And to think that that is just part 1 of 3. I am normally a traditionalist when it comes to Shakespeare but this is so vivid and alive.

The £10 RSC tickets are in row C - rows A and B not on sale this morning - and in general the tickets they are selling are to the right (facing the stage)

So, much as I do think the dramatic pay-off of a trilogy day will be greater, I think there’s an emotional pay-off after three/four years of investment in this saga. I’m sure there will be at least one book written about this, a document of the research and passion that made this trilogy so special, so stunning and rightly so – I can’t wait for Lloyd to let the cat out of the bag and show us all the research and secrets that made this amazing.
Harriet Walter's new book "Brutus and other Heroines" has a couple of chapters on the project

I'm going on the 15th of this month. I normally only go to musicals, rarely plays, and this will be my first professional Shakespeare production and I've never seen or read King Lear before. Feeling quite nervous after all the negativity bandied around on here, so I'm hoping I come down on the side of the critics... I would recommend you at least read about the play - the Spark Notes website has pretty good synopses of classic plays. Shakespeare can be hard work the first time, if you're not familiar with the play
