For anyone daunted by the running time, there is a short pause in the middle of the second half. That may offer a tiny crumb of comfort - it is still a very long night though The issue is the first “half” is 2 hours I don’t know how long the main interval was last night But the rush to get out of the auditorium was palpable and horrible The main interval was 20 minutes - barely enough to get to the loo and back, in a venue with apparently 1,600 or so seats. I wonder will major changes be made before the production moves to Manchester and the Noel Coward theatre.

The School for Scandal is coming to the RSC main stage this summer - not really fitting the definition of a restoration comedy but it was mentioned earlier in this topic

Anyone know the runtime for this? The review in The Stage says 2.35 - presumably including interval

Watching the Burton/Taylor Cleopatra a few months ago, I was amazed when a 19 year old Richard O'Sullivan turned up as the pharoah Ptolemy. I'm very glad that he now looks happier than the photos a few years ago suggested

Anyone else seen this? We have tickets for Saturday and are considering whether the journey to Chichester is worth it for a not very well reviewed play - thanks I saw it on Saturday..enjoyed it. Well acted atmospheric horror story. Great staging..No ..its not perfect..Narrative gets a bit bogged down.. But plenty to enjoy here. Dont let me sway you but it isn't a lost cause.. Many thanks Jampot

When the Taxidermist's Daughter was rescheduled, the CFT contacted ticket holders 10 days before the new dates were announced - so presumably they'll do the same with the Unfriend

And if I then click to see what's on offer at the Playhouse, I get "Oops, page not found." Yes, I get the same for Bath Theatre Royal.

Did Napier design the SRB Macbeth at the Almeida in 2005? If not, I'm stumped
Regarding 2- they have both played Macbeth for the RSC, directed by Trevor Nunn

You are hovering vaguely around an answer with your comment on (1) but of course it asks about Simon Russell-Beale's connection to Siegfried and Roy, not McKellen's. Ah - indeed it does. I will think (and Google) a bit more....

6 - both James Bolam and David Tennant have played the porter in Macbeth - Bolam in the BBC Nicol Williamson version and Tennant in an audio version
(I see that the First Messenger in the BBC version was played by Gorden Kaye - aka René in 'Allo 'Allo)
1 - John Napier designed both the McKellen Macbeth for the RSC and also the Siegfried and Roy show at the Mirage in Las Vegas

3 - Chegwin played Fleance in the 1971 Polanski version of Macbeth which Hefner executive-produced
I imagine the link could well be the Scottish play
I can see the link in 6 but will let others chip in...

Just a temperature check - that was all this evening. It is worth checking back for reduced tickets - we bought two in the front row of the on-stage seating for £20 each this morning - They weren’t available yesterday.

With Hamlet, I was in the same position - as soon as the seating plan was available, I emailed to find out what seats I had been allocated - and was able to swap to ones that were more to my liking. You could try that

One thing he also spoke about in his first interviews was what great plans they had for the Other Place when it reopened. It never did. Yes it did - from 2016 up to March last year, when COVID hit... www.rsc.org.uk/your-visit/the-other-place

Moses is a fascinating character - largely responsible for the way New York City looks today, for good and ill. He was a major component of Ric Burns' (brother of Ken Burns) documentary series "New York" 20 years or so ago. This could be a great part for Fiennes.
