I do hope this gets a second life. It is in my top 10 all time favourite performances I have ever seen. It’s just where it would go in London as after seeing it at the crucible it has to be done in a theatre with a rake so the footprint of the central flat in the story can be seen by all the audience.
The Bridge (or in my wildest dreams) the Oliver would be perfect.

I got extremely lucky with the tickets as I got the matchmaker package for opening night for £89.50. Thank you theatre gods for system errors!

I’m quite surprised they are doing the 2 intervals. I’ve played Bobby in a production and we just joined act 1 and 2 together. Looking at the photos so far there doesn’t seem to me much set that couldn’t have just been changed during the hustle and bustle of the start or Sur Le Plage

I had already booked the matchmaker package including drinks and programme. It’s just a bit gutting that I would have loved to go to an opening night of a show. If I have had been in your shoes, I would have fought hard. I don't see why they couldn't accommodate one person. The entire house on opening night won't be completely comp so I am sure they would be delighted to have some paying guests. Well luckily they have had a word with the producers and they have agreed to honour my ticket for opening night.. I'm so excited already!!!

They made a mistake, and it's very early on in the process. So, accept the move and drink / programme voucher and move on. Had it been nearer the time, it's another matter, but it is literally hours. I had already booked the matchmaker package including drinks and programme. It’s just a bit gutting that I would have loved to go to an opening night of a show.

Well I managed to get tickets for Thursday 27th August which seems to be opening night. Now LW theatres have been in touch to say the tickets shouldn’t have been on sale and want me to change dates. Where do I stand with this?

Does anyone know that if they are now changing the start times, would you be able to get a refund for the London shows? There will be no way I could get home after the show!

Have they lowered the stage, I've seen a photo taken from the dress circle and it looks a lot lower than what it was for Half a Sixpence?

I’m seeing it on Sunday 29th . I don’t normally go for previews so I really hope there aren’t any issues and it goes ahead as planned Does Hope Mill sometimes cancel previews at short notice then ? I'm travelling all the way from Kent by train and coach to see this as a day trip next Sunday so a wasted journey would be awful. I’m just talking about previews in general. I’ve not heard about hope mills previews. Fingers crossed we will be ok for next weekend

I’m there on Friday and I can’t wait. Was looking forward to it anyway but the glowing reviews on here only make me more excited. Is it press night Thursday?

Its such a shame as I adored the production. Yes I know the singing wasn't to the standard of the OBC in some roles, but the whole performance really connected with me. I would have loved to get down to see it again before it closes.

I'm surprised they still haven't released the full cast list as I would have thought they would start rehearsals in a couple of weeks!!!

Oh I agree on both suggestions. But Michael actually replied to a post I made saying he was told he was too young. But he could just be throwing us off the scent. Lol.

do we have any idea yet as to who will be playing Robert? apparently they were looking for some one in Jenna's age range. I cant bring any actor to mind in his late 40's early 50's who can sing this score?... any thoughts?

I can't wait to see and hear Joanna Riding play Sally. If she can bring half of what she put into Julie Jordan in Carousel, she'll be fantastic. I'm far more excited for her than I was for Imelda Staunton. I'm seeing it next Monday. I'm completely with you on this, as much as I loved seeing Follies last time round, it was Joanna Riding's casting that made me book to see it again

quick question, I've just retrieved my programme and inside it states that Not getting married today is sung by Jamie, Paul and Susan. However when I went to see the show it definitely wasn't Daisy Maywood who plays Susan singing all the "bless this day" sections. Is this a misprint or does she normally pop out of the fridge etc?
Granted, it's three months since I saw it, but it was definitely Daisy Maywood at the performance I saw, and in the script that part is played by the actor who plays Susan.
Daisy was in the show when I saw it but it was a black actress playing the priest. wonder what was happening then that day, granted I did go when it was still in previews.

No, I'm pretty sure it's Daisy Maywood as the priest, jesus creepers in tow. Ah well Daisy was in it the day I saw it (8th October) and was playing Susan but the wedding priest was played by a black actress... so for some reason was it Jennifer??

I was lucky enough to win in the ballot but who knows if I'll actually be able to get tickets for the days I went when my booking window opens!
