I don’t know if it reached the West End but can anyone remember a musical version of Robin Hood? Bill Kenwright was involved and the cast were some of his version of Joseph.

Remember a musical called 70 Girls 70 about a group of OAP fur-thieves who are trying to raise funds to buy out their retirement home(yes, really),which I saw at the Oldham Coliseum originally.I believe it transferred to the Vaudeville with Dora Bryan but only ran for a few months.I particularly remember a lovely song from it called ‘Well-Laid Plans’.The director was the wonderful Paul Kerryson. I saw this production when it was on tour at Billingham Forum and loved every minute. Dora Bryan was outstanding. Somewhere I have the cassette cast recording.

Guardian article - 50 Years Of Joseph:- linkSome interesting costume variations (and Josephs) over the years! Yes big names have played the title role but there have been some other not so well known Josephs. I know people don't like the touring Kenwright version but it has produced some cracking Josephs - Graeme Smith, Richard Swerrun, David Anthony - and the best ever Narrator Niki Ankara.

The BBCFour Top of the Pops repeats have got round to 1987, and Tom Jones is having a massive hit with the original recording of "The Boy from Nowhere" from Matador. Surprised the West End run (with Barrowman rather than Tom I believe?) was so much later. Anyway this is a great tune and check out Tom's strong manspreading game in the video! I saw Matador countless times and loved it. When I went to see Children Of Eden I passed a couple leaving the theatre after the matinee. “You’ll need a flask, sandwiches and a sleeping bag.” She said.

Bored. Week one of a 4 week sick period with a fractured ankle. I have this moon boot on for another 3 weeks. Listening to all my vinyl cast recordings and some “other” cast recordings.

Been in amateur dramatics for over 25 year. To me the rare amateur musical would be Bless The Bride, Summer Song, Waltzes From Vienna, The Card, Viva mexico.

I went to see Joseph at the Theatre Royal Newcastle, pre Kenwright says. Pop star Limahl was Benjamin and Joseph was Peter Barry. I was hooked.

Very disappointed. I was expecting big things from Sheridan and was disappointed. She mumbled a good part of her lib and there was to much face pulling. Darius was like a plank and as for his dancing .......
Let’s hope An American In Paris is better.

A long while ago. We had been following Barnum with Andrew O’Connor (best Barnum ever) and were seeing the show at Aberdeen. We were held up by traffic and were about 15 minutes late. We tried to sneak in during a blackout but Andrew saw us and paused the show to tell us what we’d missed.

After doing some more research online based on the Richard Swerrun 1998 album I am being led to believe this was the cast album I had. Can anyone confirm that this is the CD featuring Julie Maguire and Richard Swerrun?
Um, that's disturbing:
I would love this CD but I couldn’t find it on Ebay. Is it still available

Just started a new job but started halfway through a pay period so at the end of November I will get 2 weeks pay minus the advance I had to take to get through November. No means of borrowing, no credit facilities. Christmas is cancelled.

I still think this is the best Masterchef out of the lot. I already know who wins but I still watch it. Some contestants I don’t like, there always is, but I still like the format. The British version is so easy compared to this.
Plus it has Shannon Bennett 😉
