I thought this was a great little show, and I was totally immersed in the story. I do agree, though, that the songs were not that memorable, even though at the time they seemed ok.

I've been to just about all the Coliseum's summer musicals and have only paid full price once. I've either gone up on the day to Leicester Square, or waited for a late deal on line. WWRY is no different.

The original Godspell in 1970-something, obviously with David Essex, but also Jeremy Irons, Marti Webb, Julie Covington.

Silly money. I really wanted to see this, in a half decent seat, but not at these prices.

Well, thanks for the spoilers. I've never seen it, and have a ticket for next week. I knew the vague outline of the show and wanted to keep it like that.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but in this age of tickets being sent to your mobile, how does it work if one of your group is delayed in getting to the theatre? Is it acceptable to forward them the email with the ticket attachment? I've done that before and usually tell the other person which seat I'm taking so that they know to get the other one scanned. Otherwise could cause an issue if one ticket has already been scanned. If that makes sense.... Yes, that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the tip.

I really dislike Peter Pan, but no doubt I will eventually go to this.

I know it's nobody's business but her own, but wouldn't it stop some of this ridiculous speculation if they put out a statement on the lines of, "Alexia will not be appearing due to a bereavement," if that is the case?

I saw her once at a show, making sure everyone noticed her as she made her way up the aisle and into her seat, where she remained standing and looking around for some while.

Two people turned up with small, solid suitcases at the Bake Off Musical this afternoon. As we passed them at the bag check, the cases had been spread on the ground, unzipped, and the staff were trying to inspect the contents without rummaging and messing up the contents too much. I mean, who takes a case to the theatre? Surely they could have left them at their hotel and collected them afterwards? Goodness knows where they stowed them once through security!

Kicking myself I didn't book for this, especially after seeing Bev & the cast on the Oliviers the other night.

Well, I loved this today. I just wanted to be entertained, and I was. It was funny, I was engaged by the characters and enjoyed the music. I do agree, though, that the ending was ... well ... frustrating, although I get what their message was. That and because I can't remember a single song is why I've only given it 4 stars, but I would happily see it again.

I've seen (usually) girls at Stage Door grabbing a selfie with one of the cast, and then having to look in the programme to see who it was. I also heard one person telling an actor they had enjoyed his performance in a certain TV show. "I'm sorry, I wasn't in it," he said. "Yes, you were, I saw you."

I originally had tickets for this as a gift for a 'significant' birthday. Refund was obtained and used elsewhere, but somehow not the same. Oh well.

The audience is driving me up the wall. I know it's a celebration of musical theatre (and they're no doubt encouraged to look enthusiastic because they're on telly), but all I can see is dancing, singing, phones out, arm waving etc. I'm willing to bet half that lot will end up in the Bad Behaviour thread at some time in the not too distant future! it was actively encouraged. They spent a good 45 minutes hyping it all up before filming started. Good heavens! That is hyping it up with a vengeance!

I absolutely loved the previous production and went several times. Hunted down the CD too. Funny, because I nearly didn't go. I'd had a couple of frustrating days, and problems were lining up on the day of my first visit, so much so that I had to give myself a strict talking to and make myself go. Several hours later and I had completely fallen in love with the show!

Have to say I thought it was awful. But we can't all like the same things. So did I - but then, I really don't like Guys & Dolls!

Who knew Les Mis was a comedy? It was musical chairs in the Dress circle this afternoon.
Let's call the seats 1,2,3,4,5,6 (even though they weren't). In seats 1 & 2 at the end of the row, two Little Old Ladies. They didn't seem happy. Along come a Tall Man and wife, who take seats 3 & 4. At this point, seats 5 & 6 are empty. Meanwhile, in my row, directly behind this lot, three people arrive, who take the seats next to me. They have a Spare man with them. It transpires that my neighbours had fallen foul of the No Single Seat rule, so their Spare man friend couldn't buy one of the two empty seats in front. However, he had purchased a perfectly good seat further along, in the middle of the row (but wanted to be near his friends). He asked the usher if he could sit in one of the empty seats. At this point, the Little Old Ladies staked a claim, maintaining they had been there first and couldn't see very well from their seats, so could they move? The usher called for back up and FOH appeared with an Ipad. He then confirmed that unfortunately for all concerned the two empty seats had been sold. Spare man reluctantly made his way to his (much better) seat. Suddenly, just as the opening music started, the Little Old Ladies and Tall man and wife all stood up and started seat swapping. Tall man had taken pity on them and let them move into 3 & 4 to get a slightly better view.
Tall man and wife are now in 1 & 2, but unfortunately for me he blocked out a third of the stage for me. Oh well, can't be helped. Then, about 20 minutes in, there was another kerfuffle, when Little Old Ladies decided to move into the still vacant seats 5 & 6, whereupon Tall man and wife moved back into 3 & 4, only in reverse of their original positions. Lucky me, now I had an uninterrupted view.
Come the interval, Spare man (remember him?) came back to talk to his friend next to me, and decided he would now relocate to seat 1, just to be closer (vacating a great seat in the middle).
The rest of the afternoon went swimmingly, if you don't count the inevitable sweet bag rustling during I Dreamed a Dream and Bring Him Home, the non-stop checking of one of those light up watches, and a flash photograph being taken just as Eponine was expiring in Marius's arms.

Many, many moons ago, James Stewart in Harvey. The audience gave him a standing ovation the minute he walked out on stage.

Well, I originally had confirmation of priority sign up, but no email link. I have double checked everything, deleted items, spam etc. Oh well, probably couldn't afford tickets anyway.

Happily enjoying a day out yesterday. Sun shining on the water, birds singing, squirrels running up the trees .... and a rat only inches from my feet!!!

I HATED this at the Barbican... I was like The Voice BattleRound the Musical. Everyone trying to outsing each other without a single thought for actually portraying characters or telling a story. Mess... I found it one of the most moving experiences I've ever had in a theatre. I had to sit outside the Barbican for twenty minutes afterwards to compose myself. But that's the beauty of theatre, it would be boring if we all enjoyed the same things Have to admit I didn't care for the Barbican version either. At one point I was really angry and for all the wrong reasons. I do agree about emotional involvement though. The first time I saw West Side Story on stage, I couldn't even applaud, while the rest of the audience were leaping to their feet and cheering. I was still in the moment, and awash with tears.
