Well I liked this despite the unsavoury subject matter and Jason Watkins was a knock out

Gillian Anderson is still a draw and given how great she was in Streetcar, I think she’s a worthy replacement Agree 100% and I will certainly be going along and her role in The Fall should generate strong sales I would have thought.

With the news that The New London Theatre is to renamed the Gillian Lynne Theatre later this year and the Ambassadors becoming the Sondheim Theatre in the next couple of years, who else do you think deserves to have a theatre renamed or even named, this can be anyone who has made an impact on British theatre. My choices would be Terence Rattigan or Tom Stoppard and I would choose either the Playhouse Theatre or Nimax's new theatre that's opening in a few years. A Terence Rattigan Theatre would be my selection, no contest !

Still plenty of seats available. Just got a couple for 31st March. Not any more. Entire run now sold out. Good for them. ,,and judging by the reviews I would think a WE transfer almost certainly on the cards.

Ooh fingers crossed for you x They did officially take me on today! I'm 'Bank' staff which means zero hour contract life, but they're almost always in need of someone somewhere, so I should get enough work to see me through book and play writing process up until the summer, when I can hopefully resume 'proper' job hunting. Yay ! good news ! x

I heard today there's a possibility to be kept on as casual staff in my current temp job. Which might just mean I can manage to deliver on all the other 'career' stuff I'm supposed to (Book? what book?) without starving in the meantime. Also BBC Cymru saw fit to translate and publish some of my waffling today. Ooh fingers crossed for you x

Very very sad news, when I was younger it was a compulsory purchase so much better/cooler than Melody Maker or Sounds

Saw this on Monday and found it excruciatingly bad. I have always loved the play but the tone here is all wrong, and the production is overnlown. There is a lack of intimacy and urgency in the storytelling, and the focus has been shifted from Ralph to the mother (her name Is escaping me now). Ralph is played as a one-note villain making the title irrelevant and the character of Agneta unnecessary. How anyone can have sympathy for the “frozen” mind by the end of the play is beyond me. Lots of technical problems too: noise backstage, set pieces crashed into each other, lighting cues late (or early) and sound levels wrong. This director is a bit of a mess, if you ask me. Would be hard to refocus the production at this point, so I doubt we will see improvement in previews. The performances are, at best, middling. Suranne Jones comes off as schmacty and inauthentic. So other than that you enjoyed it ?

And hey, if you do have the running times for the new shows, anyone, I wouldn't mind a heads-up on next week's lottery numbers while you're at it. Equally if anyone would like to comment on the length of Mike Bartlett’s cock.... I’ll get my coat. I've now pebbledashed my desk with coffee !!!

As mentioned in 'The Ferryman' thread, this is due to transfer to the Gielgud before 'Company'. I do hope that's true !

O, excellent the Rona, one of the wonderful Scottish curing team, has appeared in the commentary. No Brit team she says because we finished 8th and Korea went in as auto so we were edged out of qualification. Whaaaat????bonkers. Think that's just the mixed doubles lynette, we have qualified in both the " proper " mens and ladies events

Meant to say I will be rooting so much for Elise Christie in the short track speed skating after the terrible luck she suffered in Sochi 4 years ago. But given that her main opponents are Korean and it's being held in Korea, do you really think that 'luck' will change?! Hmm hadn't thought of that !

Went to see the Charles I art exhibition at the Royal Academy- stunning !
Makes you wonder if he hadn't lost his head how much more he would have accumulated.
If you're in the vicinity do go.

Given it's historical importance/significance I wouldn't have thought there was the slightest doubt that the lease will continue to be renewed far into the future.

Pretty sh*te seeing as you ask...my temp job got rid of me in a slightly shady manner. All will be fine (it always is right?) but doesn't mean it doesn't feel like kicking this old dog while she's down and all that. I did however find some leftover Christmas chocolate balls (steady) so there's hope I guess. Mm, Chocolate balls one of my favourites....

3hr 20mins ? How can it be ? Is Trevor Nunn directing it ? I’ve seen it run close to 2hrs with interval. Yes was wondering that myself, personally I don't think I'll be bothering finding out how they've padded it out....
