I haven't seen it yet but I am genuinely crying with laughter just at the video of their little bit at the Oliviers, so I can't imagine I won't love it. You know how sometimes there's a person who you just think literally everything they do is hilarious? That's me with Mischief Theatre. Chris Bean could breath and I'd wet myself. I was watching the Oliviers sketch again earlier & found myself wishing that they'd do a full play about the Cornley characters as themselves, as opposed to the play-within-a-play structure of the Goes Wrong shows. I'd happily watch a couple of hours of Chris Bean, Robert Grove, Dennis Tyde, etc. just trying (and probably failing!) to go about their daily lives at Cornley Polytechnic. I agree personally I'd pay to watch them reading a phone directory....

Given the positive reviews and the combination of Irons/Manville I would have thought a dead cert for a WE transfer.

Saw yesterday's matinee ad thought it was excellent very very funy indeed and KB displays a deft comedic touch. Certaily one to make you come out smiling.

A few years ago for me : " Dinner " with Harriet Walter at Wyndhams left me both baffled and bored I'm afraid.

The biggest recent rip off I have come across was the Elephant Man at TRH souvenir brochure at £10 for very very little content

Yes loved the show and as so many have said here you soon forget Joey isn't real. Very sad but at least we had the chance to savour it.

A couple of really good reviews of this. both The Times and The Guardian giving it 4 stars the latter in particular praising Jane Asher as Miss Havisham , I saw the Vaudeviile Theatre version a few years with Paula Wilcox and I hope that this version will eventually transfer.

Between Carting Lane and Savoy Way. Fascinating... Just Googled and found a picture and photograph on Arthur Lloyd's website. (That's a great website for theatre building buffs!) Yes I use that website a lot fascinating stuff on there well worth a visit.

Is Taming of the Shrew any good then? I saw a clip online, that looked very modernist which doesn't tickle my fancy. It's on at the New Stage during the days we're in Moscow. I have been dithering about it, because I DO want to see the legendary Bolshoi Ballet, but I don't want to see any "modern" nonsense, I adore the truly classical ballet en pointe and everything. Couldn't agree more ! I saw at the cinema their Nutcracker ( superb ) and they showed a clip of The Taming of the Shrew yep sadly modernist written all over it, still I'm intrigued by The Flames Of Paris never seen that...

I think I may have mentioned this on the old board.
The Bolshoi will be at the ROH from 25th July to 13th August performing 5 different ballets.
Amongst the stars coming over is the incredibly handsome Denis Rodkin ( *swoons * )
Friends of the ROH can book from the 1st March.
