Thats quite an impressive breakdown stevejohnson678! I've managed to get about a quarter of the way through the brochure so far - so i'll definitely be taking your suggestions on board. And thanks also for your kind words on Pond Wife! Let me know when you come to see Polaris, i'd love to say hi! (or do i already know you away from the board?)

Im sure this has been covered already - but whats the best way to get cheapies for this? I cant find any of the £10 or even £19.50 tickets when i look through the website - and their lottery just confuses the hell out of me.

I'm going to jump right on in with some blatent self promotion here... please delete if not allowed! I'm taking a show up to the fringe this year called Polaris, which me and my friend wrote directed and 'star' in so if any theatreboard people are up i'd love to say hi and grab a drink or 6! Polaris is officially described as 'Join Holly and Ted on a fantastical adventure through time and space. Tracy and Val are dinosaurs from different cultures. Aoife is a female astronaut leading a crew of distrusting males. Sarah-Jane and Lou-Ann are two teenage girls just trying to survive Year 10. Polaris explores the normalisation of hatred, toxic masculinity, and the violence of language through imagined worlds and beguiling soundscapes that the performers create live on stage.' We were up in 2016 too and got a plethora of 4 and 5 star reviews, so hopefully this year will be as kind! If you fancy buyting thickets theyre here www.pleasance.co.uk/event/polaris#overview and our trailer is here

Ruth WIlson is 36, and Mrs Coulter is 35 in the first book, so it seems perfectly appropriate to me, though personally I'd been hoping for Romola Garai.

Am I the only one who thinks Charlie Stemp would make a great Rodney?

This is probably a question for the eponymous @theatremonkey, but when booking for this in Wimbledon would people recommend the back row of the stalls, or the front row (at the side) of the upper circle? I'm on a strict £15 budget...

We're all the gays at the matinee today? I was there too and echo most of the sentiments above. I didn't quite have the emotional connection i expect from a Kander & Ebb show, but it was charmingly staged, with a very attractive male cast. Damn. If only it really had been a sauna in there....

I too was at the christmas filming! We even saw Hayley from Corrie on the Tram, was v. northern!
I magically got a chat with the main woman herself and an offer to swap outfits after filming finished.... though unfortunately she didn't follow through on this.

I would love this to be true, but Does CW have much of a track record with these 'scoops'? There's no evidence or anyone backing him up yet.... fingers crossed though.

You can legally challenge a photo being taken and published without your consent where you have a reasonable expectation of privacy - ie your bedroom, a public toilet, a private garden etc. Nowhere in public spaces counts and I doubt a theatre would either. Whether it's ethically ok is another matter of course. A theatre isn't a public place, you have to buy a ticket.

Got my rush tickets for the matinee today, and Dad is coming along for the ride since Come From Away was completely sold out. Where were your rush seats, out of interest? Prim trying to work out the cheapest way to see this, from as close as possible....

I just found out that Ilana Glazer from Broad City and Phoebe Robinson fro. 2 Dope Queens are doing a standup show together in Brooklyn on the Monday, and it's only $30 so I think that's changed all my plans now!

Hey all - Thanks for all your tips & thoughts. I think i'm set on Once On This Island - tho @baemax has reminded me of Sleep No More... and i think with the Spongebob Vs My Fair Lady conundrum i'm going to let price me my guide. I'll enter the MFL Lottery, and if unsuccessful i know i can pick up a last minute Spongebob ticket!

Dreadful Like a 2 mins TV charity sketch Dragged out over 80 mins Ugly set Stifling heat in the JTU Pointless dated dialogue Of the most pathetic kind of cliches Like watching a 1970s TV show It makes me wonder actually Why I bother going to the theatre To see utter sh*te And WTF they have been developing over the last 5-6 weeks given scripts are being used for the last 10 mins oh wow! Tonight i was in the same room as Parsley - and for once - we agree! This was absolutely horrific. A boring meandering and pointless exploration of how #MeToo has effected cis white men. I was tempted to walk out many times, and in all honest wish i had. I was both bored and offended. This felt like a slap in the face from the Royal Court after all their brilliant #MeToo work so far.

It is highly theatrical, so hopefully your worries are misplaced - but then its also not a play in the traditional form, so it definitely wont be to everyones teaste.
Also - from what i recall, there's no blood at all, and i was sat at the front so i think i'd remember?

I'd say not to skip on SpongeBob, of those three, and for those reasons. Welcome and have fun! I posted this on the BBW Board as well, and i think i basically posted this hear so someone would validate my Spongebob craving.
