If you can't find a suitable performer the first time you look the answer is to cast your net wider. The Miss Saigon producers flew all over the world to find suitable Asian actresses for Kim, and this was in the 80s. In today's internet age would it have been so hard to ask for submissions from Ireland, mainland Europe, America etc?

Given the intensity of rehearsals I can’t see Lucie jumping from performing one show then another with no gap in between, she’d have to finish Les Mis a few weeks early

It’s time for Sally Ann Triplett to return to the West End... Am I right in thinking she played the role in Singapore?

Bochum is a pretty unremarkable German city but Starlight there has done roaring success, I’m sure Birmingham will find an audience

If a gay actor who had been hounded and abused by Christians his whole life and hates them with every fibre of his being was offered a role playing a gay hating Christian, should he be allowed to play the role if he chose to? Imagine if we changed every single aspect of the situation, would that require a different approach? Riddle me that liberals!

Harlequin said in week 1 they played a male lead in a musical. As people seem convinced it is Gabrielle, can you please explain how this clue can be justified/what it hints to in relation to Gabrielle as I can’t work it out. Presumably it was either Bugsy in 'Bugsy Malone' or the Beast: www.garston-entertainment.co.uk/artist/2088/Gabrielle/
I don't think that's the same Gabrielle, according to wikipedia she's a 51 year old black woman!

For those who don't want to waste 1+ hours on this here's what went on behind the scenes and some extra tidbits:
After the scandal broke Seyi's agent reached out to her and she confirmed she stood by what she'd said in the Facebook post, it was only then she was dropped from the production and by her agent
The FB post in question was directed at "lukewarm" Christians whose beliefs aren't as strong as hers, presumably because they're more tolerant of the LGBTQ+ community
Seyi initially auditioned for Nettie and was asked to come back and sing for Celie. Imagine how close we were to this whole mess being avoided (though we wouldn't have had the utterly delightful Danielle Fiamanya)
Joanna Francis (Shug) via her agent, as well as the director and MD all said they wouldn't participate in the production if Seyi remained, people had started cancelling their tickets and at least one critic said they wouldn't review the show
The theatre expert hired comes down on Seyi's side, using some utterly bizarre logic such as "you wouldn't expect an actor playing Othello to advocate murdering an unfaithful wife". The Christianity expert comes down on the theatre's side.
When Leicester Curve terminated her contract they were willing to pay Seyi the full amount she would have earned from the production, but despite being reminded twice she never invoiced them. This is the amount Seyi is suing for.
It seems odd to me that Christian Concern, an organisation that supports Seyi and from what I've heard is affiliated with her father's church, are happily sharing court documents that make her look like such a fool. And they didn't block out her address.

When Mater had her jab last week, she couldn't understand why she was given, to take home with her, one of those foil blankets you see being worn by marathon runners. After three days of feeling freezing cold, despite the heating being on full, she now knows why. Golly, I hope that's not a common side effect of the vaccine or my mother & I will have even more disagreements about how much the heating should be on whenever she gets vaccinated! I did the Oxford trial and the day after my first jab I had a few hours of feeling tired and feverish, no side effects after my second jab though of course I could have been in the control group (so given the meningitis vaccine instead)

I never agreed with calling NHS workers heroes. Not that it isn’t a noble profession, it absolutely is, but they went into their jobs under the proviso that they wouldn’t catch deadly viruses from their patients and would be adequately protected to ensure it.

It was filmed at the Prince Edward with the London ensemble but with leads from various productions across the world. Off the top of my head they used the US tour Jasmine, Aussie Aladdin and London Genie.
