We poke fun and tease but at the end of the day, we are a bunch of theater nerds who come together to share our passion.
Even parsley...we love to not love him but its what makes the world turn with different opinions.
Now if we could only get Jane McDonald in something for Daniel

Marianne Elliott is a prolific director and she wants to put her stamp on the show. It may not all work but I applaud them for trying something different. I for one am very excited about this. Before we rush to judgement (of which I do all the time), I am going in with an open mind and will at least give it a chance.

Has anyone see Mazz as Mama Morton yet? How is she? Alexandra will be great and she should bring in the punters from the midlands. Its just sad that such an amazing show has been so dumbed down through the years that it doesn't even resemble what it originally was with Ute and Ruthie back at the Adelphi.

Mary is coming - I was at a party with Cameron last month and he confirmed but was shy about the venue. *clang* Think you’ve dropped something there again, Marge. better pick up that name you dropped...

Yes - you are probably right. With Strictly perhaps closing in October, could it take the Piccadilly?

Couldn't it go to a pop up location (how In The Heights did?)
Or perhaps The Arts Theatre? Or is that too low rent?

When is John Mccrea leaving the show? I really want to catch him before he departs....
Also - does he have any holiday dates scheduled?

Joanna Riding would be amazing but she’s in Follies. Richard Fleeshman as Dr. Pomater? Or John Barrowman? Um..Riding is like 50 years old? This is a story of a much younger woman who is expecting a baby for the first time. Barrowman is also mature for this role. Fleeshman is in Company and, just not a good fit. Pomater is goofy and awkward. Fleeshman is humorless and should just continue playing a bland hunk - that's what he's good at. Joanna Riding could play much younger but yes - she may be a little too advanced in years for this role. Barrowman is a bit older too but you could pair them together. The role of the Doctor is a boring role anyway. Its really all about Jenna. I saw the show with Jessie and again with Sara as I thought it may be better and it wasn't. It's just a very mediocre show with medicore music and mediocre dancing. Fleeshman is actually perfect for this role and Company will be over unless it extends,

Stage Ent confirmed to me today they are bringing Donna Summer over. That’s their next show. Exciting. Stage Entertainment doesn’t producer Donna Summer on Broadway...it’s the Dodgers. Are they acquiring the rights for the West End?

Tyrone would be amazing! Question - would they cast a black actress as Heidi hansen (meaning race is considered) or not (meaning colour blind casting)?

oh God please don't put La Lipman anywhere near it --some of us are still recovering from her Aunt Eller, also directed by Nunn Some of us also saw it and thought she was excellent. In the case of 'Fiddler', she's obvious casting for that particular role - maybe too obvious - but she'd be very funny. I’d love to see Josie Walker as Golde...and maybe Jenny Galloway as Yente

Just seen that Samira has apparently said she doesn't plan on returning to the West End because she doesn't want to be "in the background" anymore. Bless her heart. Some people are do dilusional. Does she think Love Island is going to lead to massive employment opportunities?

It just looks like the usual menier type of artwork to be honest. I'd be surprised if they don't cast a Jewish actor in the lead What does the artwork look like? It's not on their site and Broadwayworld is using the last Broadway revival artwork in their story.

The Other Palace will have a challenge beating Big Fish. I still cry at the thought of that production. Definitely one of my favourites of last year. So we are still waiting for an announcement for Charing X, Menier and Other Palace. There could potentially be three musicals being announced very soon!

Sorry to hear about what happened danieljohnson14 ! The box office and staff at the Palladium are really helpful and if you had said I'm such they'd have given you a ticket for another night. Just one of those things though and if you were bored during the first act you may not want to return! I'm sure they are lovely, but my the end of my shambles of Act II, I was over it and just wanted to leave, not helped at all by the assholes in front of me who wouldn't shut up. Like I say, the woman passing out couldn't be helped, but there was no attempt at even being quiet about it, a family member full on sprinting down the aisle. There were many arojnd me who by the end were saying what happened, so clearly there was more concern over what happened than the actual show. The woman a few seats down nodded off and a man benind me audiably yawned loudly, so clearly the whole thing was lost on some near me. I'd go again, but only if Kelli and Ruthie were on. Kelli alone would be worth it. I am sorry that happened to you Daniel but know that I felt similarly and that this production is somewhat lackluster. Yes - Kelli is great and the costumes are gorgeous but Ken is miscast and hard to understand and the stage is very empty. Much prefer the 1996 production with Donna Murphy that transferred with Elaine Paige.

and having now seen ria as Norma I'd have been fuming if Glenn hasn't been on after paying £150 a ticket [br Glenn’s performance was epic and worth the ticket price. Kelli is lovely but her performance is nowhere near the legendary performance Glenn gave.

Kelli did all of the shows on Broadway and her understudy is now playing Rosalie in School of Rock on Broadway. Wasnt Annalene the originally Glinda standby in Wicked? I'm sure she'll be great.

The show is beyond boring. I saw it with Robert Goulet years ago, and it isn't exciting. Better to do a concert of Spamalot if they want a story about the Knights of the Round Table LOL

In America it's Patti...She's a much bigger draw than Bernadette. Also, Chita Rivera?

I definitely think this will close 22 December. When Baz announces the news, someone tweeted him if it would be extended, and I believe he said it would. They could always replace actors if necessary.
