It seems like Myles is never on these days…did he hurt himself?

I've seen this several times since cast change, as there are plenty of ticket deals about, but I was surprised how quiet the theatre was on Friday night. I was in Gallery 1 for the first time, which I'd say has a better viewing angle than the Stalls (although I do still prefer to be slightly closer, you're still really only at "premium seat" distance in many theatres). The Stalls had lots of gaps. The show itself remains in great shape and the new cast have settled in well. There were lots of people missing last night, so it was odd having a show with only one interval singer (instead of three), and girls dancing in the gay nightclub scene. But it all held together. Will have to venture back into the standing area again at some point. Who was our last night out of the principals?

Cara was at the Met Gala in New York last night. And thus is missing performances of Cabaret. Not sure if this was scheduled in advance but if it wasn’t, that’s not very professional of her.

Has this been cast? Or casting? CHF has said she’s been to a photo shoot for something she’s involved in in 2025 and ‘we’ll collectively pee ourselves with excitement’ when we find out what it is. This is hot theatre news at the moment. Any guesses? Manford and Fletcher again? They are aiming higher than CHF and Jason Manford FFS 🤣 Kimberely Walsh and Duncan James? 😂

For a show that is closing in a few months, there are a lot of understudies who go on each night.

I heard Marcus Brigstocke will be reprising the role of Barnum. He might even get across the titerope this time. Funny enough - he did it in 2 tries when i saw it...

Will this be immersive and the venue be similar to an arena? And will this be in Zone1 or further out?

Assume loads of tickets held back for general sale, so don't think anyone needs to worry The first two rows were all there for the performance I booked this morning and I checked back later in the day (I had booked front row) and that was all gone, so maybe tickets are held back but likely at the most expensive prices in the stalls.

I booked my tickets with no hassle. There seems to still be availability but it is mostly the expensive tickets that are left.

When the run of Peter Pan got going they set up a section on the website selling all single seats heavily discounted. I got a £150 seat for £40. That may be an option again this year. Thank you, I remember that - would definitely be a good option! It’s a great option if you live in London and can go at the drop of a hat. if you’re going on a booked holiday and your dates are fixed, it’s best to book in advance to avoid disappointment of course. It is a great option, though if somebody has the flexibility.

What time does priority booking begin on Friday for the Gielgud run? Is it 10am or noon?

Mr B said this was coming in for the festive season to The Drury Lane. Thoughts? S I think he was joking. (At least, I 'think' he was!) It came quick off the back of me saying that the Watermill actor-musician version of "The Lord of the Rings" would go into Drury Lane after Elf. ohhhhh LOL...i don't think Elf is what we need right now but it is a cash cow over the holidays for sure. Like, no one wakes up in the morning saying "OMG.. I can't wait for Elf to come back to the West End"

It seems like the recommended seats are Gallery 1, first row, left of orchestra. Is that left with the orchestra behind you (I.e. orchestra on your right when seated)? Thanks in advance! Gallery 1 ideally on the bend with the band to your right hand side, all the way through to midway down the row is best for this show. Trust me, I've sat/stood on all levels for this show. If you can stand, go for immersive. If you prefer seats then the above are best if not on a budget. If on a budget aim for A42-44 Gallery 2 (above the band) or row B Gallery 1 or even Stalls row A restricted view behind wheelchair platform. Enjoy! Is the bend better than the straight part in Gallery I with the orchestra to your right when you are sitting?? If you had to pick the 2 best seats, what would they be?

The Shubert’s offered them the Barrymore, but Jamie Lloyd wanted the St. James.

It was based on his attendance in NYC that I made the presumption. I totally get it… And I was not coming for you at all. Your point was based on the knowledge that you have based on the fact that he missed a lot of shows in New York. My only point was that most stars don’t take off the day after Press night. That’s all.

No surprise at all that Frost is off today; just wish they’d advertise when press night is before you book, to avoid disappointment. Difficult not to feel cheated when people have raved about his performance. Most stars don’t take off the day after press night. Do you think Imelda Staunton will take off after Hello Dolly’s press night? Of course she won’t…I think she missed 1 performance total in Gypsy. Am I wrong?
