Hmmm, I saw Shakespeare in Love 8 times including twice in one week (I'd seen a particularly depressing matinee of another show and needed cheering up so bought a spur of the moment ticket). Otherwise I'm not a repeat paying customer unless there is an interesting cast change.
I've seen stuff multiple times when working FOH though.

It wasn't Ramin.

I'm wondering if my penchant for Jay McGuiness is enough to overcome my loathing of Denise Van Outen.

Or go to one of the box office staff who will also exchange your tickets!

Yay, my 'Evening Leaning with Darius' has got backing!
He was ridiculously attractive and his acting was adequate for this role. I agree that he and Sheridan had great chemistry.

Saw Funny Girl last night, Sheridan was great. She gave it her all and, not knowing the story, I was in tears at the end. I've seen her before in Legally Blonde and A Midsummer Night's Dream and she is just so charismatic and watchable on stage.
I also think there is another show to be got out of just having Darius lean against walls wearing a tux. I'd go.

I was told that someone proposed to their partner during Phantom last week. Right in the middle of 'All I Ask of You'. There was a mid song ripple of applause in that section of the audience when the person said yes. When we did that at least we waited until the interval (at the Connie Fisher Sound of Music)! Obviously this couple felt their relationship was more important than the show that several hundred people had paid to see! Wonder if the other person said yes just to shut them up...

I saw Anneka Rice and her family marking off their Complete Walk map last weekend.

I've entered the ballot too. I'm doing my barding with The Globe in London that weekend.

Is it only me that takes a second to remember Joey isn't a live animal (I can't bring myself to say 'isn't real')?
I saw that tweet and was bothered that they had made him go on the London Eye.
In any case, I sobbed when I saw War Horse and even my 11 year old son sat bolt upright in his seat in a panic at the end when Joey was going to be shot.
A wonderful production.

I saw David O'Reilly and Oliver Ormson as Elder Cunningham and Elder Price and thought they were pretty perfect, but can't compare them to anyone as I can't afford a repeat visit to Mormon!
Abram Rooney was also a great alternate Christopher in Curious but I wish I'd got to see Graham Butler in the part as I really like him.

My first time was panto when I was about 4, Tony Blackburn and Ann Aston in Cinderella at a theatre in East Ham that is no doubt something else now.
Then a primary school trip to see The Plotters of Cabbage Patch Corner at Sadlers Wells.
My first Shakespeare was Twelfth Night, probably at Theatre Royal Stratford. I don't remember who was in the cast, only that Sebastian was hot and his scenes with Antonio had quite an effect on 15 year old me.
Also saw a pre ALW version of Phantom of the Opera around the same time.

I agree about the letter scene in Billy Elliot. I also got a bit emotional at the start of 'Stand Up' in Made in Dagenham.
Overtures get to me, I get a bit fluttery with the anticipation.

Personally, I would only allow people that have their coat/bag game sorted into theatres so you don't have to wait while they gather up their belongings when you need to get past.

Who are these people that can make their ice cream last into the second act?

I loved it! Thought Gemma did a wonderful job taking over from Gugu, and I liked Michele Dotrice as Nancy even though I'd thought no one could be as funny as Amanda Lawrence.
It does lose a little bit without the Globe audience but still cracking good fun.
Gemma made eye contact with me several times in my second row stalls seat. I'm now considering asking her to run away with me.

I've just had a call to say my ticket has been upgraded as they want to put a spotlight in my seat.
I might not be squashed in a corner after all!

I sat in the same row as Imelda Staunton at Shakespeare in Love when it was on.

I'm sulking a bit because I couldn't go to the last part of the King and Country cycle at the Barbican on Thursday. Stupid Parent's Evening.
Nothing for me now until Guys and Dolls next week.

I'm going on the 29th February, probably squashed into a corner somewhere with my £10 ticket.

I'm Peach. You don't know me but I've lurked on the other boards on and off for about 8 years.
I like handsome actors. I like Shakespeare. I like to think of myself as shallow but discerning.
