Hope not, don't want to be charged £260 for a flop Broadway musical.

He can sing and dance and has a lot of charm. If he can act then he is great casting and actually makes me want to see the show

He came across very well on Strictly, so he could be good in this. Just depends on whether he can do comedy.

Posters that say prior to West End are at best misleading, the recent tour of Annie Get Your Gu with Jason Donavon and Emma Williams stated prior to the West End, of course didn't make it and the tour closed on the road due to poor sales. Advertisers shouldn't use this slogan, as they cannot substantiate it.

Wow, would've liked to have seen it, two great performers

I agree with Jonwo and that they be lucky to get a theatre, if they did I image it would be something like the Playhouse, what no other producer wants.
I cannot think any other show that is using 'prior to 'West End slogan', do enlighten me?

I I would quite like the Playhouse if I was a producer, reasonable size theatre that should sell if it's a good show and stage seems good size.

Private Lives didn't use the slogan 'prior to the West End'.
Don't say "Everything is prior to the West End", if you cannot substantiate it, people will only draw the conclusion you don't know what you are talking about.

The Playhouse is only suitable for well, plays.

The Playhouse is only suitable for well, plays. Except for The Rocky Horror Show, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Spamalot, Dreamboats and Petticoats, La Cage Aux Folles, Footloose and Dancing in the Streets... ;-)

I've actually seen a production of BIG and quite enjoyed it - it's a better and funnier show than the OCR would lead you to believe. But what's the market for it? The movie is long forgotten. Or is it?

Well if you look at the offical London theatre article on Private Lives it did. And also, Love me Tender said on the poster it was prior to wear end. I do know what I'm talking about

I've always thought they should put a disclaimer under the prior to West End tagline with 'subject to theatre availability'

Yes I thought that was slightly unfairly harsh towards george22, PoL! A bit of hyperbole to exaggerate a point never hurt anyone....Stephen Sondheim claims it as his favourite language after all!!

Jason was embarrassingly bad in it. Ohh really? Thought he might've got some audiences in though. I can imagine Emma being good?? She was lovely. In fact I really enjoyed the whole thing apart from him. I'm afraid his voice is completely shot. When they sang Anything You Can Do and the bit about holding a note longer, the irony was obvious. Because he couldn't.

They didn't use it on their adverts, they just merely sent it out on their press release, fine to say your intention is to bring a certain show to the West End, but not use it on a advert that you can substantiate.
