Why does no one link to tweets and instead just refers to them? Because funnily enough not everyone is on Twitter... Not sure why there should be any obligation to post links people are perfectly capable of finding for themselves anyway. I don't get your logic. You don't have to be on twitter to read tweets. Plus, if you link to a tweet, (a) it saves someone else the work of going to find it (especially if the person in question is a prolific tweeter — it's why you link to a specific blog post and not the general URL of a blog if you're talking about something in a specific entry), and (b) bonus: it saves the text of a tweet if it ever gets deleted.

Nobody seems to have picked up on Katherine Mcfee tweeting something exciting later. What could it be? For reference:

The American National Tour is currently in previews in Utica, New York. The cast has been cut down a little and it looks like they have a passerelle, I don't know if it is real or not. I've seen a naughty photo of Betty at the top of the stair case and honestly It took me a second to recognize her with the red wig but she looks great. Hello, Betty! There might be one. It's hard to tell: http://instagram.com/p/BoN_NJ2BcMF Utica only had two performances because that's where they were teching the set. The "real" tour stops begin Sept 30 in Cleveland, Ohio.

No, it's a Canadian sitcom about a wealthy family who loses all their money and it's extremely good and just gets better and better the longer it goes on. Available on Netflix, anyone who's looking for a recommendation! Aw. You answered this so earnestly. I would've answered with a Let Me Google That For You link.

I have finally started watching Schitt's Creek, and am LOVING it. My roommate and I are only three episodes in, though.

How many sets are there currently in the world for BOM? Trying the figure out which set they’ll use for the UK Tour - can’t use the Australian set since it continues until late July 2019 so therefore the productions will clash ! That's a good point. There's Broadway, London, US tour, and Sydney. Sydney is using the set from the first national US tour, which closed a couple of years ago. The other productions in Scandinavia are non-replica.

I'd never seen the film, so I wasn't even sure where that whole Ogie storyline was going. And then it went... nowhere. It's not cute.

Yes although several romance plotlines do feature quite heavily, I'd say the main story is really about three women striving for happiness, freedom and acceptance. That's certainly why this musical resonates so strongly with me personally. I get this, although Ogie getting an entire comical song about basically stalking Dawn, pursuing her even though she says no, and then eventually being rewarded for it was a huge turnoff for me.

No, I mean, why would you buy a drink of any kind in a theatre anyway?

Did people really think it might be split into two acts? Actually yes, the person who has been cast told me in workshops they did the show with an interval and without. They will just do one act in the West End although it was discussed what UK audiences would prefer. Thinking Follies here - I much preferred an interval! That's really weird. I'm trying to think of where they'd put one. It's bad enough when productions add an intermission to Spelling Bee.

One of the interesting things to me is that the excessive prices for Hamilton New York have also carried over to the various US tours. But that's what hype does for you. This has been happening for years in many cities, even before Hamilton. I've still never seen Kinky Boots because even though I live in NYC, I decided to wait until the tour came to San Francisco the first time because my parents were interested (they live there and I'm from there). The prices were so much more there than in NYC, we decided to do something else, and I just kind of forgot about it. With Hamilton, cities know it's the biggest show to hit their city in years, so they will charge more and might even start charging premiums and/or packages. Although I will say that often tours cost a bit LESS not just because the city is smaller and has a lower cost of living (think: not San Francisco or NYC, but Kansas City, Minneapolis, Sacramento, etc.) but because the theatre is bigger than on Broadway and can offer a wider range of prices.

I'm one of the few theatre fans who hates quoting lyrics or lines in real life!

And yet emotionally I still haven't progressed beyond 14. Is this the point we remind Gen X and above that a lot of Millennials are not far off 40 now? and that teens aren't Millennials? I AM Gen X and I'm tired of people forgetting that millennials are not kids. It's enough that I have to remind my parents that the MTV Generation isn't kids either!

Do touring actors get extra money to pay for hotels/digs or does it come out of their normal pay ? In the U.S., touring actors get a housing stipend on top of their normal pay. The company manager provides ahead of time a list of approved hotels (I believe in this case, the show pays for it), or an actor can choose to stay with friends/family in the area or book an AirBnB themselves with the stipend.
