Honestly I don't give a rat's ass if Hillary is flawed AF, she's got decades of experience and you could trust her to have a conversation with a foreign leader without bringing on the apocalypse. I love the sweet idea that we should always be able to vote for the best candidate in politics, but the reality is that we're only ever voting for the least worst, and Hillary is at least not a flaming manure truck of sexual assault and flagrant racism. <-- What Baemax said x 100 Dear God - I really don't get involved in UK politics, but this US President business really has got to me. I've got a lot of female US friends on facebook who gloat about not watching the debates because Dancing With The Stars is on. Another lot of female friends are very vocally against Trump and some of their fb friends give their reasons for voting Trump - one of which, and I kid you not - " I don't know about his politics but I've read Hillary is crooked and I liked (Trump) on The Apprentice".

K25, heard the phone too, madly irritating. I was in the same row as Darius's family (ex wife, Mum, Dad), guy next to me was greeted enthusiastically by them .. His girlfriend chatted loudly though curtain up and at the third phone going off the guy next to me took his phone out, checked thoroughly and then turned off.

Was hoping someone might have been at the matinee and spill if there were any muck-ups. Agree with all Alece10 says, thought Sheridan was weeper than I've seen in previous performances. I've loved her in this, I really have. No plans to see the tour though.

Alex Gaumond and Damian Humbley together at Funny Girl last performance tonight. Wonder if the tour casting is done yet.
I middle-aged-woman fan-girled to Damian Humbley about Lend Me A Tenor in the interval (he was standing on his own). Said how much I loved it and he seemed delighted. Didn't mention the mug, soundtrack or signed poster cos I didn't want to scare him (and I was blushing profusely)

Jealous! Biggins is the one unticked entry in my Ladybird Book of Minor British Celebrities. Les Mis at Queens Theatre with Matt Lucas, Alfie Boe etc and Biggins was in the audience behind me somewhere, giggling inappropriately through "Lovely Ladies".

Funny Girl on Saturday evening. Sigh. Thankfully I'd managed to sell my gawd-i'm-such-a-dope and must-stop-impulse-buying Alan Cumming tickets for the same night.

Saw Kinky Boots tonight. At Charing Cross walking through the tube passageways there is a huge new poster of Lola and The Angels. Youngish couple in front of me slowed to look at it -they had just seen the show, which is billed as Cyndi Laupers Kinky Boots.
"Which one was Cyndi Lauper" "Dunno, she must be 70 or something and none of them looked that old"

Pfff, I blooming adore it. Saw it as well tonight, still love love loving Matt Henry, his performance delights me every time. Miss Killian madly, but David Hunter is doing fine. Prefer Elena as Lauren. Show is in fine form.
gonna add a little something in the bad behaviour at a show thread as its too good to just leave on here.

As one of Clinton's most outspoken supporters, Ellen Degeneres didn't do Clinton any favo(u)rs (correct spelling thank you) when she appeared recently on the BBC light news programme The One Show - when talking about Clinton she said "hey, she's got Bill to help her". I swear my mouth dropped open. WTF?

From this lifelong Londoner blah blah blah (my editing Obama was in power for 8 years. As you vote policies which of the policies he implemented did you like ? The utterly shambolic Obamacare one which is collapsing in on itself and did not achieve its aims ? His foreign policies in Syria and Libya and Iran ? I agree he's a class act, but that's all it is, an act. content.healthaffairs.org/content/29/6/1096.full - a lazy google says "The health care reforms that President Barack Obama signed into law in March 2010 were seventy-five years in the making. Since Franklin D. Roosevelt, U.S. presidents have struggled to enact national health care reform; most failed. This article explores the highly charged political landscape in which Obama manoeuvred and the skills he brought to bear. It contrasts his accomplishments with the experiences of his Oval Office predecessors". I would presume President Obama has a bunch of advisers who have worked on Obamacare - that it isn't working is obviously appalling, but jeez, the guy tried! I have a friend in her mid-50's, lives just outside Chicago. She's deaf, got made redundant in 2008 and hasn't worked since. Had a heart attack last year that she's still paying the hospital bills for. Her husband has been made redundant twice since 2008, got lower paid jobs each time. He was diagnosed with throat cancer stage 3 three weeks ago. She says "I'm more worried about $$$$ as he only has 80 hours or so of PTO, after that no paid time for days off. Short term disability doesn't start until after 31st day of being off, then only 50% of pay. Kicker - insurance comes out of checks which doesn't leave much it won't even pay our mortgage. First 30 days off we have to pay insurance ourselves". And why is it expected that USA sort out the Middle East and every other problem in the World? Problems that have existed for decades - www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-14703995. Hey Obama, 8 years and you ain't sorted it!?! Damn!?! (another lazy google of sarcasm may be required for any US visitors)

From this lifelong Londoner who votes policies not party Obama is a class act, didn't think America was ready for a black President, you can't lay the blame for decades of police prejudice at the door of one man. Trump is a horrible candidate, a dreadful man, ignorant of world politics, a bully, disrespectful. He is an embarrassment. How anyone can see him in the most influential post in the Western world beggars belief. Clinton isn't anyone's first choice. But better a liar that could learn than a bigot whose ego is off the chart.

Thank you Baemax and Raisitup, don't know how I missed this. Wow. The difference between seeing the show for the first time when I couldn't tell you any of the songs, to now when I just read a title - If I Had My Time Again - and there it is in my head spinning round. Nooooo-nobody cares nobody cares ... man.

No song list (mentioned about 8 times on this thread with ever increasing annoyance). I thought I'd try and keep a list of the songs in order and then thought sod it. I'm here to watch the show not do someone else's job for them.
Anyone want to try and compile a list of songs in order?

I was trying to add, the colleague is in his mid-60's and lives in Eastbourne, one-step-away-from-being-dead land. So he started off by saying for the first 10 minutes the actors on stage were getting off their heads on drugs and then it started and there was a screen and smoke and stuff.

Absolutely longing for a cast recording of this. Is there any history of Old Vic short runs getting cast recordings? I'd love it to be an OLC recording but fear now it'll be an OBC recording. First time I saw it I really didn't appreciate the music, the clever lyrics - so much going on onstage. Second time I could pay attention to the music and loved it, last night, my fourth visit, I had the songs spinning through my head, and when I woke up this morning. I too am longing for a cast recording. Bah dah dah dah suck my b@lls I'm outta here ... I'm using this for my departure from the office from now on ..

Saw the matinee on Saturday, 3rd time. With thoughts in my head from this board and wondering if I would be bored ... but no, thrilled me again, the lyrics were enjoyed again and I had a great time! Was kicking myself that I'd got matinee but not the last night, so was utterly delighted to get another ticket for tonight. I blooming love this show. I notice that the www.givergy.com/listing/the-old-vic/groundhog-day-theatre-vip-package-for-8-musical-19-09-16 went for £1,400 = 8 seats, 3 course dinner and a chance to chat with Andy Karl, seems blooming cheap!

I hesitate to add -many (many, many) years ago as I got off the bus to go to my office a young guy (same age as me -as I say, many many years ago) ran up after me, touched my shoulder and said "I just had to tell you, you've got a lovely bum". And ran away after the bus. I stood open mouthed, scarlet faced. But I remember it years and years (and years and years) later. Appalling really to think now, but for a bird with low self esteem (Catholic upbringing, remember) it was a memorable moment.
A man came up to my ex Ma in law in a pub some years ago and told her she looked lovely. And went back to talk to his mates. She smiled all night. Last week I told a young woman at a bus stop I loved her skirt (no, honestly, I did)!. Cath Kidson London scenes on a skirt.
