So, they told us last night that no performances are going ahead......however they are still selling tickets online. As we have heard, if everything is cancelled then u get a refund however ATG don’t refund the EXTORTIONATE booking fees!
so ATG are profiteering right now. They should be fu**ing ashamed of themselves.

Knowing ATG, it's probs just complete IT systems general hopelessness rather than deliberate profiteering! Semi related, just came across this: www.atgtickets.com/coronavirus-info/Seems to imply they will only be offering exchanges for vouchers and not refunds? I think I'd prefer a refund for most stuff TBF.

To be fair - I have just had a look on ATG website and all west end seems to have been taken off sale so maybe they have just been taking a while to update everything.

Yeah I'd prefer a refund too. I've got Sunday in the Park with George (twice), A Doll's House, and The Pillowman booked with them, and maybe one or two others that don't spring to mind. That would be a few hundred quid, which I'd rather have back.
It's interesting how all the smaller venues have been in touch offering refunds and saying they'll be closed for several weeks or months, and yet ATG, Nimax and Delfont MacKintosh seem to be acting like it's a minor issue that's only going to affect a few performances

And certainly with the smaller companies I'd be happy exchanging or indeed donating to those that will struggle. But with ATG, a massive corporate, doubt any cash would get through to the cast/crew etc and I'd prefer refunds. I've got quite a bit with ATG. Tours of Phantom/Six/Jamie/Les Mis/Heathers/Mamma Mia/Footloose as well as BTTF x 2 and then in town SITPWG. Keeping everything crossed that Love Never Dies and Bat Out Of Hell tours will be unaffected!

Had emails from Nimax (the shows I have already moved to another date) and Delfont Mackintosh that my bookings this week will be automatically refunded. Only ATG send a credit voucher, don't know how much yet, had three bookings with them this week.

Hi. Thanks for the community and the wonderful commitment to theatregoing and vibrant discussion. I work at ATG. Thank goodness for customers like you-that’s what keeps both my partner and I with a roof above our heads d. ATG have nearly 3000 staff that we are working with across the UK. We have more than 45000 ticket bookings across our theatres over the next 8 weeks. We are following the crappy government advice and trying to keep our customers and staff informed in the best way possible. I work in a UK city centre box office - not LONDON and have been drafted in to help with customer calls and emails. Etc. We are encouraging customers to exchange their ticket cost including fees for a voucher to reuse for future performances-valid a year. Of course if customers don’t agree to this swap-we are offering refunds. Please bare with us. We will get to all customers. We are hopeful we will be able to open again soon. Maybe June. Maybe even May. Maybe that is too optimistic. But lets all prey theatres large and small can open again by the Summer or even September? It’s all so depressing. Btw. I am on a rolling contract. So this will hurt me too. Be patient. Be kind. And please keep booking for shows-even if it’s for one of our Panto’s. God bless all.

Quite annoyed the ATG voucher is only valid till the 31st, and I can't get the same good seat for Back To The Future because it costs loads more now :/

The BTTF producer has been the very best to deal with during this period for us. Really understanding and totally wanting to do what is right for his audience. He has been on it every day. PLUS....the show is BRILLIANT. My muff and I went on a preview and it’s spectacular

I'm all for helping theatres but surely it's illegal- you've paid for a service not delivered. I have sympathy for actual theatres, less so huge companies who pull tricks like this.

You are entitled to claim a refund, if not they are in breach of their T&C's para.7.3, which I quoted a few posts back. Unfortunately their T&C's don't obligate them to make sure people are aware of this.

I’ve got 7 top price seats for Phantom opening night. Over £400. I’m not telling my group they’re getting a voucher, they’re entitled to the money.

Legally, ticket holders are entitled to a FULL refund including the booking fee. I've pulled ATG up on this before and got a full refund. Since then I've had annual memberships (especially since discounts at the bar - now 20% - have been reintroduced) so I don't pay booking fees.
I can understand theatres sending credit vouchers but no-one has to accept them. The National are also sending vouchers which I've refused. If I accepted all the vouchers I can expect over the next few months, I'd lose track of them and possibly miss out.

Here's paragraph 7.6: So I wouldn't hang around. Unfortunately I can't find any information on their website regarding exactly how to go about claiming a refund in these circumstances. I presume they just send out vouchers to everyone and hope most people will accept those, or assume those are the only option, and not ask for refunds.
<edit> to add to this, if the ticket has yet to be delivered or collected, I would be inclined to challenge the non-refund of the collection or delivery fee.

Hi. Me again (!). Phone room going crazy. Most people happy with the voucher etc including all the normal ATG fees - anyway, if you don’t want the voucher just ask for a refund in the form. Refunds will be processed-not an issue at all. It’s just the producers are all trying to get people to exchange for vouchers so that the money comes back immediately we are all past this horrid period. ATG are happy to offer refunds, just following what the producers have asked for-they figure that the shows will be on again from late juice. So that is when we have been advised to exchange people into-like for the long running shows like Come form away and wicked etc...apparently we will be open by July at latest. Maybe wishful thinking but we could all do with the work so i hope it is true. Mostly i have had about half wanting to exchange for furture performance (most of the prett woman audience-god love them) about 25% demanding refund - but nicely actually and about 25% liking the voucher.....likely to change i expect as more shows get cancelled in coming week. M and me are working on a September restart to life ()budget) as i think July is still a bit too soon to be sure of work?? God bless. X

The form doesn’t actually give the option for a refund. It offers an exchange, a voucher or some “other” type of query which is I’ve used to ask for the money to be refunded.
I had a lovely call from Home mcr this morning where I was very non-pushily offered the chance to donate.i gave them £10 of my £40 refund and she sounded delighted with that. I also just had a leeds Playhouse email for A Little Night Music and I was offered the same, full refund or part refund part donation, all done by clicking buttons.
I know ATG are in a different lever in terms of size but not clearly offering the full refund back to your card seems a bit non-transparent to say the least.

The online form I completed for Leeds Playhouse was the exact same one I completed for Sheffield Theatres. I know they both use Spektrix, so if it isn't included with the 'standard' package, they must have both bought it in since Tuesday. Oddly, Hull Truck, which also uses Spektrix, has gone down a different route, and has asked me to contact it by either phone or email.

You wait and they will contact you. I've found that the email arrives about 48 hours before your booked show date. Cool - thanks :-) So I had ATG shows booked for Tues and Weds gone but I guess there is a big backlog for the dates that have passed this week.
