Sorry if it's a grim topic, but I think it would be useful to have a list of shows that definitely won't re-open at the end of the current crisis. I think so far we have:
* The Comedy About a Bank Robbery (Criterion Theatre) * It's True, It's True, It's True (Barbican) * Endgame (Old Vic) * Iolante (King's Head Theatre) * Naked Boys Singing (KH Theatre)
And "postponed" with no set dates yet: * I Remember It Well - Judi Dench (Bridge) * The Southhbury Child (Bridge) * Daddy (Almeida) * Vania and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Charing Cross)
And also cancelled are the Olivier Awards at RAH. What else?

Pride and Prejudice (sort of*) only had a week left of the tour, so I'm guessing that's over.

I’m glad I saw the first preview of City of Angels but will be gutted if it doesn’t reopen. I was so excited it was coming after seeing it at the Donmar and waiting/hoping for so long it would transfer. Was planning on booking a few trips to it. That said, at least I saw the Donmar and West End versions respectively. Massive shame for the cast/crew etc. though.

🤔 Bit confused... Where does it say City of Angels is finished for good? The most recent post on the show's twitter, posted about 4 hours ago, only mentions shows cancelled this week.

Yeah I edited because there seems to be a misunderstanding going on in the show's thread and I was using that as a source 😅

I have tickets for City of Angels, The Doctor and Leopoldstadt for mid-May. I would be hopeful that City of Angels will re-open and still have a few months left to run as it was booking 'til 5th Sept. The other two are less certain because shows are already booked in to replace them in their respective theatres. The whole situation is just so upsetting.

The Barbican will close at least until May 1st so Ivo van Hove's death in Venice is either cancelled or postponed

The Upstart Crow was booking until 25th April and all Delfont Mackintosh theatres are now confirmed to be closed until then.

Hairspray obviously postponed, as no rehearsal/tech!

I am concerned we may start to get announcements of closure soon, given they have started to appear on Broadway.

Pride and Prejudice (sort of*) only had a week left of the tour, so I'm guessing that's over. It was supposed to have 3 weeks in Southampton followed by a week in Bristol, but I think it probably has ended now.

I see Hangmen on Broadway has now been pulled. What a real shame. It had a tremendous cast - Mark Addy, Tracie Bennett, Dan Stevens, Ewen Bremner. Just awful. I wonder if the same thing will start happening here by necessity with West End shows, although I dearly hope not.

Hairspray obviously postponed, as no rehearsal/tech! Shame - another one I was looking fwd to! Seems postponed indefinitely, rather than switching to a new booking period - guess that is sensible given such uncertainty. Know it's later on, but I do wonder about the Summer runs of Joseph, Evita and SITPWG.

It already feels like months ago, but as I left the Leeds Playhouse I did think it would be the perfect show for a limited run at the Criterion after TCAABR.

How nice of the producers.

It's awful for the cast and crew but if producers have to refund every ticket whilst still paying everyone for an indeterminate duration, is that feasible? I don't know but I could see how the producers could come seriously unstuck, unless of course they could pay everyone and then claim the costs back on insurance?

It was due to run through to the end of August as well, so I guess theatres are now planning on staying dark until at least September.

Beautiful wasnt selling particularly well either, they must’ve figured they wouldn’t be able to come back from the two months or so of cancelled shows

Although not on the Beautiful website, there was at least one week of the tour extending into September, when it arrived at the Sheffield Lyceum. Tickets weren't even due to go on general sale until next Friday!

Oh ok, I think I'd assumed it only had a week as it had a week in Oxford and in Leeds. But they have definitely finished, the actors have said so on Instagram.

Do we think Evita at Barbican is unlikely now? Can't see them being able to have enough rehearsal time
