Oh so now Footloose is a "modern musical song". Silly me!

Five to Five did a very credible job with that.

First time really watching the show. Recognise Danny Colligan from his time in Book of Mormon

That's proper musical theatre. I think we have our winners.
I know some on here don't like Peter Kay but I find him hilarious.

This is not a good performance of a film song.

I think they're all pretty rubbish. I know singing whilst dancing is difficult thing but jeez they are going to need to improve on that.

The falsetto was awful. It was a bit unfair to make him do it while dancing though.
What does it say on Peter's pad?

Also how the frack do they tell a story with those songs?

Pre-scripted comments - what is the point? Honest critique is necessary not platitudes

Actual shivers down my spine with this one. They are so far ahead of the other two bands.

Drive have been given the easiest staging - and still managed to have some pitchy moments (particularly from the normally reliable Matt)

Bloody awful.
And what's with the blond lad's excessive out breath after each sentence or word?
They need to go home now.

3 votes from me for Five to Five - it would be wrong for anyone else to win.

A really dreadful arrangement - rushed, choppy with the two soloists out of time. Boe can only over-sing. I really have no idea why he is popular.

What's with all the cheering mid song. Have these people never been to the theatre? Shut up and listen.

Well that's the acting dilemma solved I had wondered about. The story is about 5 16 year old girls and the boys/the band will be singing and dancing along to their thoughts and story.... Something of the sort lol

Now hearing the concept of the show, it is clear why they haven't done an acting test - they will just be performing as a band not really part of the story.
