100% live? As opposed to only 75% live?

100% live? As opposed to only 75% live? Well, yes. In theory, they could pre-record as much as they want (say 25%) and have only certain sections live (say 75%), just in case anything goes wrong.
Instead, they're doing it 100% live.

I really enjoyed this. Jane Krakowski, Gavin Creel, Zachary Levi and Laura Benanti were wonderful, as was the rest of the cast.
And Zachary Levi's stage door preparation is something I've never seen before. He puts up speakers so you get to listen to music while he is going down the line to sign and pose for photos.

He started it with First Date, every show he would call it his Stage Door Dance Party! It's a really cool idea, I wish more people would do that over here!

I absolutely loved this, Jane Krakowski was heavenly. She was quite frankly robbed at the Tonys this year.

It was fun but my friends and I still swear he put a song on that had the line "This is Zachary Levi" in it! We couldn't stop chuckling.

Such a beautiful recording of such a sweet show. My only (nitpicky) complaint is Laura holds that Bb too short in Vanilla Ice Cream! I want to soak in that gorgeous note longer!!!! (found this on YT, this was the reading for this Roundabout production a few years ago, with Kelli O'hara as Amalia. LISTEN to that NOTE!! Oh man someone write for sopranos again )

Thank you for the code. I have just watched this, knowing next to nothing about the show previously. I absolutely LOVED it! Such a good show with just stunning music. The production and cast were impeccable. I hope this makes the trip across the pond.

I saw it today as well and enjoyed it very much. I did see She Loves Me when it was at the Savoy many years ago with Ruthie Henshall and John Gordon Sinclair but I wouldn't mind this getting a transfer. It's a very flimsy story to be sure but I do love the music and Zachary Levi is terrific leading man material.

Argh, I'm really irritated that code appeared now - I paid for it yesterday. Oh well, them's the breaks (and hopefully the more money they make from this one, the more likely it is we might get others in future).
I'm delighted that this stream happened - when this production was announced I was gutted there was no way I'd be able to see it. I love the show, was a big fan of Chuck (and saw Zachary Levi in First Date when I visited NY a couple of years ago), and a fan of Jane Krakowski from Ally McBeal back in the day. No, it's not the same as getting to be there in the theatre, but it's a million times better than not being able to see it at all. I may have watched the whole show twice in the last 24 hours. Thank you, BroadwayHD.

This is very exciting, thanks for sharing the info guys! Is there any way to preserve this until after July 7? (it says on the site it will disappear from my library after that)

This is very exciting, thanks for sharing the info guys! Is there any way to preserve this until after July 7? (it says on the site it will disappear from my library after that) I think the reason they're taking it down is because they have plans to give this a cinema release as well in the fall- that could be really fun seeing it on a big screen. I am glad however to have seen it, and I would imagine that after the cinema release it would go back up on the website at some point- as they can continue to make money from it there too. (Also I have a feeling someone will screen capture it and upload it to youtube as usually happens.)

It is being taken down briefly because they are going to be making any edits like sound issues/cutting any dodgy shots etc so they can add it to their Library at a later date for future viewing.

It's not on YouTube, but there is a download link of a screen capture of the show. No pre-show interviews etc or interval wait, just straight into the show with the closing speech from the BroadwayHD founders at the end. Happy to send the link in a PM to anyone who wants it - just in case it's not right to post it outright on here!

Thanks for the code, I watched it this morning and really enjoyed it. It would be lovely if this happened much more often, hopefully it's been popular and they will do it with more productions. It's always nice seeing musicals where you know a song and finally it makes more sense. I think I'll watch it at least one more time before the 7th of July!

They also filmed two previous performances that week for use in the later version. I was incredibly delighted by this livestream. I saw it from the front mezz about a week ago and I was impressed at how much of the in-person joyfulness was captured.

I just finished watching this for the second time. It's just gorgeous isn't it? What an outstanding cast! Zachary Levi is wonderful and very endearing (I've been a fan since Chuck!) and Laura Benanti has a gorgeous voice. My personal favourite cast member was Gavin Creel who is scene stealing, and with the most beautiful vibrato (Can you tell I'm a big fan? ). I'd definitely recommend catching this while you have the chance!
