Just what we need - Nikolai butchering another classic (I STILL haven't forgiven him for A Chorus Line)

If the posters don’t put a red hat on her and call it “Santa Evita”, they’re doing it wrong.

Just revive the Hal Prince original (as they did in Australia three or four years ago) and be done with it. It was never better.

Looks they got an intern to design the poster.

I'm no graphic designer but that screams more Jesus Christ Superstar than Evita!

Yeah, it wasn't great was it?! Some shows are just so precise and specific, you can't add anything to them by updating them

When Carly Mercedes Dyer basically had to spend Music and the Mirror running around because the tempo was inexplicably double speed, that was when I vowed to never forgive him...

I would have preferred the Jamie Lloyd version being resurrected....

Is Jamie Lloyd's version the worst thing I've seen on stage at the Regent's Park open air theatre? Please no!

I'm hearing some VERY bizarre rumours about the casting of this
Let's see if they turn out to be true. Very "non-traditional" casting let's say - and not in the first sense you might assume...

A female Che would seem the obvious change for those who don't trust the original!

Oh dear. Do we need another "non- traditional" production after the Regent's Park version?

Let me guess, an immersive version where the audience act as Eva's crowd?!

I would probably attend Carly Mercedes Dyer as Che on reflection.
But Eva needs to be a Singer with a capital S.

I would probably attend Carly Mercedes Dyer as Che on reflection. Why? You didn’t like her in A Chorus Line at the Curve if I recall. And I agree her Cassie was poor. What makes you think she’d be good as a gender swapped Che? Or are you kidding?

After the Reprise concert last week, Jessica Daley would be fab as Eva.
Unless maybe they're going colourblind casting following Sylvia's success?

Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, alternating Eva and Che however John Owen Jones will do most of Alfie's performances.

What makes you think she’d be good as a gender swapped Che? Or are you kidding? I didn't like A Chorus Line at Curve full stop - I think she is one of the most talented performers of her generation and was hampered by Ellen Kane's diabolical choreography for the number, as was that entire production. She's a star, as she showed in Anything Goes.
