Was there at final matinee. What a talented cast and they put over the show in an amusing manner. The dancing and harmonies were outstanding. The setting at Menier is delightful - I had not been before, but will certainly consider going to other productions. Lucky Toronto residents!!

Show was in good form this afternoon. Packed theatre with well-behaved and appreciative fans. Performances were very good from all and very slick, for over 100 shows in! Go, before it closes on 7th March - you won't regret it!

Sooooo - my opinion of CATS. Not appalling by any means if you go with an open mind. It is nothing like as good as the stage show. I didn't like the "talk singing" but when people actually did sing, they sang well. I didn't like how they changed loads of the lyrics. I didn't like how they CGI'd the dancing in places - it looked almost animated. The jellicle ball was a farce - no energy, lots of rolling on the floor! Although they were all panting afterwards??? The Munkustrap did a great job as did Skimbles (providing he did the tap dancing himself). Mungo and Rump song was awful. But it was worth seeing, but would still prefer to see the stage show with original choreo and good singers!

Good news! The Trainline have been brilliant and refunded the whole of my train fares as my Eurostar was cancelled. Not their normal policy, they say, but they were sympathetic to the situation. Great customer service!! Also pursuing credit card company to see if they will refund for the show tickets - but not holding out too much hope for this one!

Long awaited and long booked trip to Paris to see this cancelled as the Eurostar booked is not running due to strikes!!! Got word in time to get hotel cost back and will get refund/re-booking for Eurostar - but cost of tickets and UK train fare to and from London lost - will try again in February - but if anyone is already in Paris and wants 2 good tickets for Wednesday 11th - I have e-tickets ready to ping to you!!

It is the other end of the Champs Elysee - near Elysee Palace - a good walk but do-able I think. It's easily identified on Google maps.

Saw this Wednesday matinee as my last visit with the revolve. Can't see how I could appreciate it without the revolve. Some excellent performances but also some that I failed to buy into their characterisation. That said, there have been so many performers in Les Mis over the years and it would be great to get all your personal favourites together in one show - but it won't happen. The show overall is always excellent and you cannot detract from the score and story. I will have to see how it comes over without the revolve but I am pleased I have made the effort to see it this one last time for me.
