I totally forgot at 8.30, so booked for Macbeth, John & Absolute Hell just after 1.
Were there any decent pit seats for John at £15? I settled for side balcony as that's all i could get at that time... managed to get good seats for Macbeth still, though i am waiting til the last week of the run now...

The Hackney Panto works brilliantly without Clive, he's great sure... but the whole ethos and joy of their productions worked just as well last year without him.
I also love the Stratford East pantos every year - they're always so brilliantly inclusive & representative of their audiences.

a coproduction with Theatr Clwyd with Katherine Parkinson, billed simply as 'a comedy' That'll be The Death of Katie Hopkins - though I daresay they might change the title! It's scheduled for Theatr Clwyd in spring/early summer I think. The Assassination of Katie Hopkins is a musical by Chris Bush and Matt Winkworth, the Laura Wade play is called Home, I'm Darling.

The British cast is so sh*t I find it beyond hilarious People are willing to pay up to £200 For this The only reason it’s “different” Is because most musical theatre is sh*t If you compare it to actual hip hop rap It’s hardly Missy Elliot or Snoop Dogg It’s nothing new It's laughable that you diss Hamilton for not being 'new' by comparing it to Missy Elliot or Snoop Dogg, neither of whom have had a hit for years. You dont like it - great. Get off this thread and stop torturing yourself!

So glad to hear this - wasn't the Birmingham Rep where it was first staged (and subsequently altered ALOT for future tours/west end) or am i thinking of another Kneehigh show?

Checked this out on presale as i thought it could make a good christmas present for family... but those £10 seats are naff! Hoped they'd at least have something cheap at the front of the balcony... will wait and hope it discounts closer to the time.

I would agree with oxfordsimon above, however, the show is almost sold out for its week in December at the Brighton Theatre Royal where very little sells out these days. The prices are top dollar too - £58 top price and £65 premiums!! I assume it is Mrs Redknapp that is responsible for this - surely not Will Young. Oh in Brighton, its definitely a scantily clad Will who's selling all those tickets.

I'm sort of boycotting since the writer's a complete a-hole, but the production images are making me slightly regret it. Me too, but no regrets.

I was there last night too, and found it laughably bad.
The skimming over of important issues in order for more privileged characters/the privileged audience to 'learn from them' was appalling, and the few good points made (mostly by the teacher character) were all played for laughs.
It felt like a whistle stop tour of social justice issues, without any research.
After being horribly offended by the crass politics of Teddy Ferrera i wanted to give Shin one last chance to prove himself - his heart appears to be in the right place, but ultimately his work sets his own politics back about 20 years.

I will happily pay for someone else's ticket (yes, even a £95 ticket) if they take me as their +1. I mean, obviously I will be entering the ballot myself, but honestly, I NEED to see this, so if everyone who is not especially bothered can please enter for me?? If I don't win the ballot I will go out of my mind knowing this is happening and I can't see it.... I hate f****** ballots!! God this is going to be so stressful! I think I'm hyperventilating already! If by some stroke of luck i'm successful - i will 100% take you up on that!
