I saw this last night, and found it to be just okay. My favourite thing about it was Freddie Fox, who I had been hoping to see. If Branagh hadn't come out before the show to stress just how little time he had had to rehearse, we wouldn't have been able to tell. It's also so true that he has recently played the role in Sheffield, so it's not like he had to learn all the lines in two days. You are right, and it certainly helped. But it was more than just knowing the lines. He seemed very "with" this production, if that makes sense. I am very new to professional Shakespeare though, so take my very green opinions with a grain of salt.

I'm seeing this next week, after becoming interested based on the conflicting reports here. Not really too excited about the view from my seat, but I am happy to be seeing (or maybe just hearing) something new.

My sister was in the day seat queue so that we could see Natasha tonight. I've seen Sheridan as Fanny, I'm really excited to see Natasha after all that I have read about her. It was a great show tonight I thought Matthew plays a very angry Nick. What did you think of Natasha? I really liked her, I definitely prefer her to Sheridan. That last note in "Don't rain on my parade" gave me chills, and watching her attempt to stick the moustache back on her face with her tounge in the second act was certainly memorable.

I was in the dayseat queue this morning - so happy to see it was still a busy one even though people know Sheridan is off. Spoke to some people that had specifically come to see Natasha after hearing about her from others. My sister was in the day seat queue so that we could see Natasha tonight. A bunch of the new cast of Star Trek at Harry Potter today. Chris Pine sitting in the audience smiling and being generally attractive certainly got many of the audience members ver excited. Was Zachary Quinto there? Yeah he was. I also noticed John Cho and Karl Urban.

I'm trying to get a sense of which seats are made available for the Friday 40. Based on prior comments here, it seems seats were available in the stalls in row AA, row BB, and G 21 and 22. If you won the Friday 40, can you post (or direct message me) which row and seats you got? N 10 and 11. My sister won and got AA 9 and 10.

How's the lottery been for this? Drawing big crowds Book of Mormon style? I won the lottery on Saturday night, and the woman running it told me that they normally have between 50 - 100 people entering, sometimes more. I also found the show a little underwhelming, but did really enjoy it whenever Aladdin's friends were involved. I did wonder if I would have enjoyed it more if I could have heard the singing better. We were sitting lined up with the woodwind and brass section in the pit, so they drowned out most of the performers.

Nice to hear people are getting the Friday 40 tickets, I mean of course people are going to get them but having them post on here makes it seem more possible. How quickly does the wizard move if you are lucky? Does it zoom straight across in one go and straight to booking? I really thought I was in with a chance today as my wizard went over 3/4 of the way but then it was paused so it didn't work out but usually it's gone one or two little blocks. When I got the Friday forty tickets the little wizard started about 1/4 of the way across and moved pretty steadily across.

I decided to be irresponsible and take a break from writing my dissertation to enter the Friday forty and actually managed to get some tickets. Most of the dates were already sold out by the time I got in, did they ever go fast. I cannot wait to go, this is going to be the perfect break from feeling crushed by my schoolwork.

Somehow managed to book some of the seats released today. I believe they are restricted view, but I'm hopeful that the view won't be too bad.

Apologies if this has been discussed to death before, but does anyone know how busy the lottery tends to be on Wednesday afternoons? I know that Wednesday afternoons are the quietest show of the week in general (there is often very decent seats at £29.50/£37.50 in advance), but in terms of lottery popularity, I'm not sure. I didn't realise the seats were that cheap in advance, will definitely look into that. Thank you for the info!

Legally Blonde in Leicester on Tuesday! Not at all familiar with the show, but I am expecting to have a good time.

Little bit of an accident today at the matinee. After the scenes taking place in the sewer, the actor playing Harry the Horse was struck in the head by the manhole cover whilst claiming through. There was about 30 seconds of silence before the show continued, with another actor taking over his dialogue for the rest of the show. I hope the guy is okay.
As far as the rest of the show went, I really enjoyed the performances of the new Adelaide and Nathan, I thought they were better than the performers at the Savoy.

Just saw this tonight and really enjoyed the show. I normally wouldn't post, but I was there tonight after winning the tickets through this site. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was involved in the contest. Thank you for a wonderful night at the theatre

I want to go in the next couple of weeks. What are the Box Office like if you turn up an hour or so before the show starts? Will they give you good seats cheaper or stick to the normal pricing? I was there about an hour before curtain last night and was offered two seats in the centre of row f in the stalls for £40 each. I'm not sure how they would be priced normally, but it was implied that we weren't paying full price.

Hello everyone! I lurked on the other boards for a bit, but thought I would say hi I am newly transplanted to the UK from Canada and try to get into London as often as possible to enjoy the theatre scene. While I don't think I have anything worthwhile to add to the conversation, I do really enjoy reading what you all have to say!
