I was in the front row last night. You can tell it's by the people behind "Jersey Boys". I enjoyed it. Theater was packed & from the reception the audience gave , they loved it.

Well I saw this last night. Sat in middle of second row & heard nearly everything. [ Anything I missed due to my poor hearing.] Loved it. Got soaked on way home.

“we’re not actually telling you the winner, but let’s just say “the best things come to those who bake” instead” does not make for a good story. There was plenty of scope to have a coherent and engaging narrative, which cleverly combined various backstories, ending up with a worthy winner and a clear overall message. It just didn’t happen… But it did happen, you found out who won the bake off competition. Yes, there was a fake out, but they went back to it and that concluded the story. They then told you what each contestant had been up to since the series ended, as they do on TV. All neatly wrapped up. April Fool.

Saw this this afternoon. I really enjoyed it. Tbf I was there with a friend who’d done it in am dram a very long time ago, (I was her teenage babysitter and I’m 52!), and the memories came flooding back for both of us! It’s a very cleverly constructed play, and very well performed here. One thing, for those who’ve seen it, the cactus scene…we nearly saw a lot more of Gary than I think we were supposed to…! It didn't happen when I saw it.

I thought it was OK but songs were not memorable & John Owen Jones was wasted.

I loved the Drury Lane production & saw it quite a few times. Really hope it gets tranferred back into the West End so I can see it again.

Hi all- what’s seating like for this one? Are the cheapest ones still okay or is it best to splurge.. or is lottery my best bet?! I was in front row of Upper circle A2 & perfect view. However if you are tall {I'm not} you may need more leg room. Awful toilets.

Don't know if this happens regularly but last night just before 7.30 the audience were invited to move forward if they wished to fill empty seats. Was around 60% full. The front row A went from empty (it wasn't included in the offer when I booked my cheapo side seat) to full. I moved to dead centre which really enhanced my enjoyment of the show. Thanks Charing Cross theatre ! Yes they did this when I was there too.

No. Have seen this many many times but at Dartford it was ruined by all the topical adlibs from the Narrator who was an understudy. For many fans it is the topical ad libs from the Narrator which make the show - keeping it fresh and exciting Philip Franks is a particular master of this - as was Reece Budin when he understudied despite not being a celebrity This was more like he was doing stand-up.

If anyone wants the DVD please note it is on sale at the theatre for £20 & will save yourself the ridiculous cost of postage from the website. [ I've paid more than double.]
